Seemed like the author was trying to say it was with the Kind Country chapter and Kino's backstory. In her backstory Kino says she doesn't remember her name but it was the name of a flower and kids teased her with insults that sounded similar. Later the little girl she meets in Kind Country, who the story was trying to portray as extremely similar to Kino, was named Sakura and kids teased her with insults that sounded like that name. Although rewatching that part it could be the name of this flower. Does anyone know what kind of flower this is?

there is a dip, unfortunately. the original improved on the manga significantly for the anime adaptation while clear card is basically a straight adaptation.

What's everyone's opinion on Tsubasa Chronicle and its alternate version of Sakura? I haven't seen it yet, but I sort of want to. Is it worth watching if I loved CCS?

I think everyone dislikes Tsubasa Chronicles so much because Sakura is the reason they watched Cardcaptor Sakura and to see her role toned down so much made a lot of people tune out. However, I loved the series and thought that Sakura's song was a great song.

If you're a fan of CCS, it's a must watch just to see how they handle certain things. Some of the episodes are slow, but it picks up later on in the series.
