I was feeling a little scared during some of the last 10 or so chapters, but 942 reassured me that this is indeed going to be a very strong arc. A character as important as Yasu (in-story) died this early, with quite a strong death speech full of revelations. The meat of this arc that starts from 943-- kicked off a lot quicker than I actually expected.

Jesus is the first captain but I seriously doubt he is stronger than Shiryu since Jesus was easily beaten by Sabo. Sabo is also an unknown. He was implied to be stronger than Luffy but it was never proven. Iirc Sabo was able to check Fujitora similar to how Luffy and Zoro did but Sabo was slowly losing.

I would place Sabo around mid commander level but I don't know for sure. The Revolutionaries are also a group that I completely forgot about but they were rarely shown. Based on how One Piece goes I would say the Revolutionaries are more or less equal to the Yonku with Dragon being low Yonku and his top commander being Yonku top commander level. I doubt Sabo is Dragon's strongest commander. We have yet to see much of the Revolutionaries.

I am pretty sure Luffy is going to defeat Kaido in this arc and Zoro will defeat King. I don't have much hopes for Sanji because he has been a major disappointment post time skip. It's like when some African introduces themselves as Adibibo Ngewbe, I never remember it. I need something unique for it to be memorable. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Chopper. A little Japanese but easy to remember because the names are basically Engrish

All it took to kill him was one hit in his weak spot. If Luffy can either find that weak spot or figure a way to bypass his scales it would fit the motif of "dragon slaying" that he could beat him.

We know that Absalom was killed by the BB pirates and his fruit was taken by Shiryu. We know that the BB pirates hunts for powerful devil fruits. I believe these fruits were for BB's pirate army NOT for himself because we saw Jesus searching for Ace's fire fruit only for himself. If BB could have infinite abilities, he would not have hesitated to kill Ace for Ace's logia ability.

We also know that Marco and Jozu participated in a revenge war sometime after pre timeskip and that they lost the war vs BB. We don't know their fate. I believe they were both killed by BB and Jozu's fruit went to a BB pirate and BB himself took Marco's fruit. Marco's phoenix ability behaves like a logia and has the ability to heal wounds which covers BB's major weakness.

I was answering to this, obviously Luffy will beat them both 1v1, like literally every arc villains.
Blackbeard is Luffy's main rival into finding the One Piece, Imu is kind of a world level threat that will be taken down once someone finds the One Piece like Whitebeard said.
