I enjoyed the mythical aspect of early Dragon Ball more than the whole alien thing.

It feels like some ancient legend
they sort of kept it in parts of z and made attempts to bring it back in GT but the new stuff got it less and less.

It's better to watch Z first than to watch Dragon Ball, otherwise you will find it boring pretty quick.
The DBZ/S generals are 99 percent spam, memes, and general dick measuring. Hardly anyone legitimately talks about the other shows either, this is just those threads if you take that garbage away.

Speak for yourself. It's where they introduce some of the key Z characters, plus it's funny to see how they all react as Goku get stronger over time. It's the golden era where the focus was more on traditional martial arts without the power ups. If you're at all fan of franchise then you'll enjoy it, but I can see where you're coming from if you're not.
Ah of course, an adventure story is much more boring than dick measuring contests stretched out to take 20 fucking episodes
Chronological order doesn't matter much in the series. You'll enjoy Dragon Ball more if you watch Z first, a lot of that is attributed to the Namek saga, as it's a hooking point for the series.

I disagree. The coolness of the disjointed fantasy and sci-fi elements tossed together willy-nilly in a setting that was CLEARLY not meant for anything but a gag series is lost if you watch Z first. KIng PIccolo himself becomes much less cool if you watch that arc with the knowledge that he isn't the literal demon king or that Kami isn't the actual capital G god, but instead they're alien slug people who used to be a single guy, with one half LARPIng as a demon by spitting out his mutated offspring
Well when you think of DB you generally think of Goku turning into Super Saiyan and all the things he can do so yeah, and I admit I'm biased since I did watch Z first since that's what they were airing on TV, but I would have watched much if it was just DB so I speak from experience. It's best to show the best of DB first, and that's the Namek saga imo. If it's your first time seeing any DB all of the fights will keep you at the edge of your seat, and you'll become acquainted with some of the characters as they develop, such as Piccolo, Vegeta, Kid Gohan, so on...

The thing is that you'll be re-watching the series over and over after you finish it the first time, so it does not matter that you don't know who King Piccolo is at first.

That's objectively incorrect. I got into the series through Dragon Ball first on a random channel broadcasting Korean reruns. It was the very, very early 90s before the VHS craze. In fact, I was awfully confused why the characters were blonde until my brother acquired the cell saga tapes (3 ep a tape and the final episode was gohan killing cell juniors) along with Butoden 2 for the Snes/Famicon converter.
In short, most american tards watch terrible funidub garbage.

Yeah sorry but your opinion is incorrect. Just because you experienced the series in an arbitrary order doesn't mean everyone else should. With any series it's always best to go in release order. Some people skip arcs they aren't interested in which I don't really agree with but when you start at Z you're skipping 40% of the series which is ridiculous.
The Tien fight was pure kino
It's fucking stupid to skip DB and go straight to Z, I mean why would anyone skip the best part of the story, I guess if you do it out ignorance, it's different case but if you're doing it deliberately you should just not watch anything DB related, just go watch fucking naruto or something.

That is only because that is what you saw first. The hypest moments of the series to me are the Piccolo Jr fight and the Vegeta fight, both before SS was a thing.
I nostalgia fag over Z but when being first introduced to the original that aspect of it captivated 6th grader me immediately.
