I love Soremachi to death, but I think their best work really is SZS. It was just way more well thought out and if they ever fucking do a final season it'll fucking go down in history.

How many times has Kumeta declared that his manga would never be adapted at all before Shaft picked up SZS? And IIRC Shinbo said they would love to do more seasons if only they sold enough.

There was a vague "the Monogatari Series will continue" announcement but that's it.

You guys do realize the only reason Monogatari is able to even compete with Madoka is because it’s like five million episodes and three thousand movies longer right? Madoka is legitimately the single best anime on earth and the greatest story ever told.

This by a fucking mile. 3gatsu is one of the best adaptation of the decade. Chica umino is super proud of her work and Shaft have made a fantastic job.

I hoped the Beastars adaptation wouldve been made by the same team.

I mean yeah, they're in different weight classes. You can't directly compare 12ep anime to 100ep one. But that doesn't suddenly make madoka's characters more fleshed out.
Also, stop pitting my two most favorite anime against each other.
