Bump. New Episode soon.
I want my own Nezuko.
So we'll get to hear MJ's voice this time, right?
Muzan is such a generic villain
we already heard him in the PV
Like Sauron
Cound d from Petshop of horrors
I miss times when "he is an evil demon" was a perfectly valid villain motivation. Now every antagonist needs to have convoluted tear-jerking backstory to show how he stands against cruel society, otherwise he is not "deep" enough.
>Now every antagonist needs to have convoluted tear-jerking backstory to show how he stands against cruel society, otherwise he is not "deep" enough.
What the fuck are you talkin about, thats EVERY Kimetsu arc.
Did you skip the Final Selection Arc?
How many more minutes?
He'll have the saddest sadboi backstory of all and you will like it.
Not that user, but Muzan, Douma, Hantengu are psychotic, selfish assholes from the start.
How long till it starts?
Douma is an angel who did absolutely nothing wrong.
I hope he'll get Aizen treatment. No backstory at all is better than shitty sob backstory.
Didn't we already know about his past?
douma got abused by his parents and hantegu was just runnig aways from his sins
they did nothing wrong
What we know about his past is that he was terminally ill or something and was turned into a demon by some doctor. It doesn't really tells us much about how he became an evil mastermind or learned all the lore he knows.
Please, user. Sad flashbackstory is Kimetsu's second name.
I meant he had been a selfish, ruthless bastard since day one, unlike Akaza and Gyuutarou who were victims of their consequences.
Maybe, but I didn't feel sad reading Douma and Hantengu's back story. Douma especially can go fuck himself.
Doctor could be the real villain
Doctor is dead. Demon Muzan killed him.
Why is the art so low quality?
Or is he?
>I don't like any thought in my funny books
Jesus Christ, I bet you think the Bible is a better story than Paradise Lost.
is she nopan?
Douma did nothing wrong! He's a good boy that cares for his friends! The only problematic thing he's ever done is eating an insect, but that's it!
season 1 = end of train arc
season 2 = red and swordsmith arc
season 3 = pillar training, etc
Flashback story is its second name, not, the bad guys are good guys too. If it stopped doing the flashbacks it would fundamentally betray its core themes. But nowhere has it ever been implied all the demons are good guys or all were doing things for a just cause. Even using Akaza's backstory, the sad backstory was not revealing that Akaza was a good guy, it was revealing that he had forgotten what drove him to be a bad guy and upon recollection he decided he didn't want to live anymore. If he was a good guy, he wouldn't have had to die and could have joined Tanjiro's party like every other shonen does.
I want to kiss Tanjirou
I too want my own onimouto
Get in line.
This. There is nothing to indicate Akaza regrets killing those dojo guys or countless people he killed since becoming a demon, including aniki. Same for Gyuutarou. He even explicitly stated he would still choose to be a demon again and again. Even bad guys care about their loved ones, but it doesn't change the fact they're bad guys.
I want to add that these flashback also explains the demon's characteristics. Appearance-wise, the rings on Akaza's body and the shape of his combat compass are relics of his human past. Same goes for being obsessed with strength and hating the weak. He is also fond of Rengoku, who came from a dojo background.

I liked this farewell scene between Tanjirou and Urokodaki.

dogjirou
he is
literally whole start of all of this is Muzan slaughtered the doctor in a hissy fit and then forgot that he needed him
fucking slut
>tfw no Satoko wife
Who could even read that at that time?
How would he react if some passing fat ojiisan groped his ass? Genuinely curious.
yoink
Weird choice on that earrape
wait so are we getting ourguy zenitsu next week?
No, at this rate Zenitsu should be around ep 9-10
No, after this is Asakusa arc.
Nope, still 2 episodes I'm guessing, based on the pace.
Muzan
MUZAN
Well he have terminal ill boy, when a doctor tell him that he can live pass 20, he kill him. They he latter found out that the doctor medicine turn him into the first demon but it was imperfect cause he kill the doctor before he could perfect the medicine. Still a huge asshole
FUCK i can't believe i forgot the cute handball chick and upvote guy
When is this up on Hulu?
did it cover the whole swamp boy fight?
Based Nezuko
tights
the BGM is godly!
slow pacing welp swamp is still not done
cute
They adapted chapters 10-11 in this episode, so I guess next episode we'll get Muzan.
Interesting perspective choice
Imagine this being the last thing you see
nice legs
It was too slow, how we can expect Spider arc with this pacing?
WHAT ARE YA BUYING
Is ep 7 title "Kibutsuji Muzan"?
>that fucking ost
Based Kaijura and go shiina
Spider arc is in the OP, they will adapt it in this cour.
Just like AFO and all MHA villians.
end of the first cour is probably the beginning of the spider arc, 2nd cour is spider arc and train arc
They can't fill out 26-7=19 episodes with just Asakuse and Drum house, they're gonna do spider, but I'm getting worried that at this rate we won't get to train.
lewd
Being in the OP doesn't mean it's guaranteed to be featured, by that logic we'd see the upper moon meeting
yeah seems we probably wont make it
gonna end it with introducing the pillars it seems
>6 episodes to cover Asakusa, Drum House AND Spider
Yes, maybe they will try to adapt three chapters next episode?
It's 26 episodes
no one mentioned that series, fuck off
They could start the Spider arc in the first cour and finish it in the second cour.
cute
Sorry, should have said I expect it to show up but 2nd cour is more likely. People seem to be expecting some speedy pacing we never see from jump adaptations nowadays.
>ending it with pillar meeting instead of Rengoku's based speech
baka ufotable senpai desu
> season 1 = end of train arc
Yes, it would be the perfect moment to end S1.
> season 2 = red and swordsmith arc
Both are 90% fighting, unless a shitton of new stuff is added to stretch out the fightsceenes i highly doubt its possible to fill a entire season (if its 24/26 episodes) with just this arcs, maybe a filler arc after tanjiro goes into a 2 month long coma could be made for all the other chars, showing zenitsu, inosuke and insect girl working together.
> season 3 = pillar training, etc
Yup, i think S3 will be the end, this arc is probably going up to chapter 200 anyway so quite a lot of stuff, the studio can also always add in demons that the pillars have to fight if they need to stretch out the plot a bit.
The fuck? At this speed they will just manage to intorudce the pillars after the spider arc, if not just the spider arc itself until ep26.
INCREASE THE SPEED!
>Both are 90% fighting, unless a shitton of new stuff is added to stretch out the fightsceenes i highly doubt its possible to fill a entire season (if its 24/26 episodes) with just this arcs, maybe a filler arc after tanjiro goes into a 2 month long coma could be made for all the other chars, showing zenitsu, inosuke and insect girl working together.
ok add pillar training arc is also perfect to end with the muzan ambush
ep. 7 kill demon and meet muzan
ep. 8-10 meet tamayo and fight 2 demons
ep. 11-13 drum house
2nd cour will start at spider arc and end with train arc. spider arc in op doesn't mean it will be in the 1st cour.
> ep. 8-10 meet tamayo and fight 2 demons
At this speed this will take 2 episodes as well.
>complaining about the slow pacing, something that most jump adaption don't have
Niggers, be grateful that we are getting animated by Ufotable, otherwise another studio could have just given us 12 episodes and butchered everything
第6話 Episode 6
鬼になってから禰豆子の足クセが悪いような,,,
Since turning into an Oni, it feels like Nezuko's leg habits turned bad...
ズパパ (sfx) Zupapa
大丈夫か俺ー!? Are you alright, me !?
If something is flawed I will call it out. I don't give a shit about other jump adaptations
this
Season 1: Pillar meeting/Lower moon slaughter
Season 2: Train arc & Red Light District battle
More like you're complaining over nothing, you can't tell what will happen in the next episodes, if they will add, remove stuff or increase the pacing.
I agree with this. Train arc isn't even that long so it's possible they will adapt it in this season.
Enters Tontarou
Nice.

The one I ate this time is a girl of 16 (years)...but that's always the case though (laughs) Since becoming an oni, my tastes/preferences have changed quite considerably.Like collecting the hair accessories of the girls I ate... This has become a long talk about myself but I have nothing to say about the taste, I am also fully satisfied with the fleshiness!
Does anyone posess a webm of nezuko kicking down doors?
Thank you, user.
What is she doing?
This is a 26 episode season right?
Do you have a bigger pic?

I wonder how old is that girl? This is the first time I have felt this way ever since I was born...so happy....

>Gyuutarou and Daki choose to walk into the flames of hell
>Akaza believes he will too
>has a vision of Koyuki, and his spirit becomes Hakuji again
>the two disappear into the light
Did he make it?
Yes. He was carrying Rengoku's crossguard and it protected him from a fatal blow.

I'm thinking of changing
>Have you gotten changed?

>Have you finished changing?
any objections? The original felt a bit weird, but maybe just because I almost never see that in anime, if it's fine as is then I can leave it.

>Did he make it?
He's not going to heaven. Either she went to hell with him, or they'll meet again in the next life
why is she so moe
Cant see the episode until later today.
Did they finish the first mission?
Is tamayo next week?
Lower/Upper Moon Demons go straight to hell
they did not, going a little slow
but we still will probably see tamayo end of next episode
Will Tamayo go to hell if she dies?
I recall an user recently compiled a pastebin of the Breath of Water forms, does someone have it? I'd like to use that instead of looking through the manga to check if, for example the Eighth form is ever used again, and what the translation there is. The subs use Waterfall Basin.
I want to eat a 16-year-old girl.
She killed her family and more people so yes.
Here you are. This is the latest version.
pastebin.com
The backstories aren't sad, they are mostly just informative. They never try and justify why the Upper Moons did what they did, they just explain how they got to that point.
Thanks, I guess I'll go with Waterfall Jar then.
Here's your (You) dipshit.
MUH
The latest chapter confirms that both are going to hell
Could Tanjirou smell if Nezuko starts getting horny?
>Inosuke hasn't been in a good fight since Daki/Gyu
Fucking rip.
Webm of oni's head spinning where?
t.shinobu
Soon and his solo fight will be without his mask
I think, at the time at least, Tanjirou's techniques during his near death trance against Daki were translated as Breath of the Sun attacks, you might want to separate those from Dance of the Fire God.
Well this episode pretty much confirms we're not getting train arc. Expect more filler in the future to pad out episodes.
That depends on how you interpret how karma work. Don't know how different concept of Buddhism in Japan from where I live (different school). Base on my understanding when you unintentionally commit bad deed you still get bad karma but less. The thing is though you commit some terrible but after that devoted your life to commit good deed. though that might not get rid of karma , that will help you not to go straight to hell. you still have to go there anyway but you might reborn as human again with life full of suffering first.
> spider arc wont be finished in 13 eps
> inb4 famous mid-season pause from ufotable
OH NO NO NO
Which might not be a bad thing. I wouldn't mind getting to know the pillars better.
I bet all the male demons want to fuck Nezuko. When do demon girls go into heat?
>MHA and Neverland have to start with one cour
>Yaiba gets two right out of the gate
Woooooow
>pause
One week pause? Like every 2 cour season?
I don't see the point of doing a whole somersault if all you want to do is cut the enemy who is positioned lower than you.
GET IN THE FUCKING BOX NEZUKO
It's not split cour.
Both fate seasons had 4 months split.
Thanks. Good then.
There weren't too many things that screamed out to me as mistakes, so it went relatively fast this time around.
>[Pig Assault] Kimetsu no Yaiba - 06.ass
Thanks. Right on time.
At least he has "presence", and that's what many villains lack these days
We're getting to the train arc either way, the question was always if the beginning of the arc is the cliffhanger or if the end is.
But what if?
dude see we have still 20 ep left
Animeonlys, this MC waifu.
imagine the vagina squeeze when she goes made
Another kino episode
episode went by so fast again, anons
Lmaoing at animeonlies upset by the hypnosis.
don't really likes this either
Why does she have 3 legs?
Place your bets who will be voicing Tamayo and Yushiro
doesn't spider start immediately after drum house? they could just start the arc without finishing it
What's so bad about it?
this episode confirms they are sticking to 2 chapters per episode
Do the calculations, if they stick with the 2 chapters per episode, they won't even reach to spider arc conclusion and not even the pillar meeting. So they indeed will increase the pacing at some point.
>anime adds more details instead of skipping content from the manga
When was the last time this happened? I'm not complaining but I'm kinda surprised ufotable is taking their time with the anime. Someone must be really enjoying working on Kimetsu.
Goddamn, the direction in this is really on point. You don't even feel how slow paced the scene where the demon chases the girl is with how foreboding the direction manages to make it.
It was fine with just Nezuko protecting humans for her own moral reasons like before but again wani fixed it
>they won't even reach to spider arc conclusion and not even the pillar meeting
Are you kidding, reread the manga. Spider arc ended around chapter 42 and pillar meeting was around chapter 45-50
Pic related, chapter 53 can easily fit if they just speed up the pacing for 2 episodes. You will get 5 minutes of Kaigaku filler and you will like it
>It was fine with just Nezuko protecting humans for her own moral reasons
She doesn't have the intellect to have morals right now.
I wouldn't call that hypnotism, more like the sensei try to help Nezuko hold on her humanity by keep telling her that during her sleep.
Why don't they catch demons and hypnotize them to fight other demons?
Because other demons don't sleep for 2+ years and leave themselves susceptible to hypnotic suggestion via sleep.
Real hypnotism only works on willing subjects, I doubt most demons would be willing. Plus stuff that happens later in the manga tells me that Urokodaki isn't a great hypnotist.
Do we know if the suggestions even do anything?
I seem to recall it coming up in Nezuko's mind once or twice, but I can't remember where.
cause muzan jackson has control over all of them except nazuko tamayo and yuchirou. it's almost impossible to turn them against muzan.
fight chapters gonna speed up the pacing
it helps a little to remind her of her humanity. it came up in pillars meeting but it might be more.
This is better SAO than SAO.
It does work. As long as she doesn't go full demon.
But that's not even a bit like SAO.
I kinda expected that, they draw the battle out so next episode ends on tanjiro finding muzan cliffhanger.
why do you fags complain about muh fillers, one of the bad things in the mango is the bad pacing
Can we talk about how great the music was this episode?
Do art with swerd
It really is great, not just this episode, but so far the ost is probably one of the best things about the anime.
The music leading up to Nezuko's kick got me hyped as fuck.
Stitch?
The soundtrack with the female voice is top notch
GO SHIINA is god tier
RIP my ears, did they use an actual methhead to voice the teeth grinding or what
The pacing is one of the best things about the manga you pleb
it's not enough to reach train
Nigger, Yuki Kaijura too
I really loved this shot
That's true, ch. 81 had 'Burning Sun' as a Dance of the Sun God technique, so I'll separate it. I think it's the same thing as the 'Bone Burning Sun' from ch. 148, but ch. 148 was still Fire God.
>that time when they focused on her feet for like 10 seconds staright
What were they trying to say there?

TANJIROU GETS ON HIS HANDS AND KNEES TO PLEASE OLD MEN
It was really creepy nevertheless.
I just noticed tanjirou's forehead scar changed. What does it mean mangabros?
I'm sure she only did the first ep because everything after that doesn't sound like her at all
If you're fine with something lazy.
Give him yandere eyes.
So the setting for this series is really close to the modern era. WWI is right around the corner. Does no one with a gun ever show up?
I'm pretty sure she's involved in every sense of the word

>hasn't heard of based GUNya
The oldman fucked Nezuko while she was asleep, right?
>That one pathetic MALfag bitching at the subs every week
He's calling us weebs for putting in honorifics, I wonder if he'll have an aneurysm once we're the ones changing hashira to pillar
Good, now that I think about this takes place right around the same time as Golden Kamuy.
no Urokodaki is a good dad
yes Urokodaki is a good dad
current projection for the ending is right after the Pillars Meeting
I can understand wanting to see certain things that happen later but are you guys seriously whining about the pace? The anime looks and sounds beautiful because ufotable actually give a fuck.
or more like, when Ubuyashiki tells tanjiro that if he wants everyone to accepts him and Nezuko, he needs to beat the 12 Moons and then everyone tries not to laugh
It changed after his head got smashed on the tree by the hand demon. It doesn't really mean anything but it was obviously contrived to give him a permanent cool scar because his original scar wasn't unique enough.
Where?
I think making second cour just Natagumo and the aftermath would be a mistake, the season shouldn't peter out without a climax
Kimetsu takes place about five years after Kamuy which is pretty crazy to think about but I guess it's the difference between country bumpkins and well-traveled veterans.
Everyone says it's 26 episodes, not 24. It's quite obvious to anyone with a brain it will end on Chapter 53 at the minimum as seen here because it's the perfect cliffhanger and a scene from Chapter 53 appears in the OP.
everyone with brain knows it ends with train arc, when even the MC VA talked about aniki
Holy shit
We don't know exactly what year it takes place. It could be before ww1 and it could also be after
when the second season rolls around Red Light District could easily be a full cour right?
I love how ufotable is taking their time with the anime, but anons are concerned that the first season wouldn't end on a high note.
nezuko's hair is the real demon here
Which reminds me, is her hair orange at the tip like this in the manga?
Yep, but you don't see it very often, surprised me when I saw it in the anime at first, easy to miss
Yes.
God i love the water animation, it's always so beautiful.
I regret everything, maybe later I'll do the other episodes.
Are we getting some gay doujins?
I really need Tanjirou to get fat demon dick.
tfw no demon imouto
Yes, we'll get a lot.
that's pedophilia
Ends with train arc doesn't mean anything, it could end anywhere in the train arc. Chapter 53 is the beginning of train arc and we are at least getting there, how deep into train arc we get is more questionable. I think it'd be great if they did the whole thing but then they'd have to pick up the pace significantly.
Unironically I'm expecting some Tanjirou x Tomioka.
you mean sabito and tomioka
I don't get it
The fujoshits will deliver eventually, to everyone's dismay.
I'm quite positive there are already some
I took 5 seconds and added a saturated blue filter to darken the image because i thought it would be cool, nothing much.
On the bright side, some user will share to us his Kanao x Tanjirou doujins he bought
We're going to end on this page at this rate
Assuming you are talking about Kimetsu we know it can't be after, we know it could be just before WWI or during the beginning of it. The hand demon said 47 years ago was the Keio period. Keio was 1865-1868. Since there had been a 2 year timeskip already by this point we know the series began 45 years from some time in Keio so it has to be 1910-1913 in Chapter 1. It's probably been about 3 years in universe since Chapter 1 so right now we are anywhere from 1913 (just before WWI) to 1916 (right in the middle of it, though Japan had little involvement in the war).
Golden Kamuy takes place around 1907-1910.
I hope for some TanjiZen personally.
Nope, we'd have to slow down significantly to end there.
>brainwashed to hate her own kind
Man that's dark.
The first part of the fight sounded just like this shit in places: youtube.com
>minor hypnotization
>BRAINWASHING BRAINWASHING LA LA LA LA LA
It was obviously quite strong since she saw two randoms as her family as well as looking pretty pissed off at the demons.
Also it gives you nier/automata vibes this ost
Her "kind" literally all eat each other to get stronger. Even the demon creator and leader constantly kills his demon servants because he hates them. For the record, the whole theme of the manga is that demons are just fallen humans and the dividing line is after they kill they must be put to death. They aren't a different species like Tokyo Ghoul or some shit.
imagine the doujins we'll get
hope it's mostly cute vanilla incest doujins tho
Does the series ever equate humans that kills humans vs demons?
...
Ep was a bit too slow in the first half, atmosphere was amazing in the 2nd half though
Wish they ended here
I mean, we do see that some of the demons already were mass murderers before becoming demons.
I ask because it seems weird to go with the
>demons are only bad if they kill
angle and not deal with humans that kill.
I don't know making her see every human, or those she sees as human, as her family seems almost worse to me. On the manipulation scale.
Indeed, the pacing was great until the village arc, there it started to feel like to rush or be to slow at some points, and currently im rather meh towards the series, the 3th demon is dead now, just dimension demon, douma and #1 are left along with muzan.
Sort of, a demon makes that argument and it pisses Tanjrou off because he sees it as the demon trying to deny their blame for killing people.
Well, it's not weird if you consider it's still running in WSJ. Using demons allows it to express the ideas without just being a very grim depiction of the real world. It's not a manga about stopping murderers but I think if you applied the logic of all the characters, then yes, I think characters like Tanjiro would go and behead humans who took innocent lives. But he would still be sympathetic to their memory and understand they were human as he did so. I think Tanjiro would kill Hakuji too and not just Akaza.
Though you've just made me realize that since Tamayo is allowed to live then it must mean that Tanjiro is okay with demons murdering as long as they never murder again after he spared them which does basically mess up all the logic in the rest of the manga. I guess that's just a thematic inconsistency. If the author's intended theme of this manga (which remains to be seen I guess) is just that Tanjiro only kills demons who are mean while he's looking, then I think that is actually pretty dumb.
>demons are only bad if they kill
It's not a thing in Kimetsu though. The common idea is that all demons are supposed to be put down at once because they will lose their humanities and became bloodthirsty man-eating creatures no matter what. Nezuko is the only exception, and not everyone is convinced either. Later there will be characters advocating killing Nezuko on the spot.
This manga is called demon slayers. Bad humans are for the government to deal with, that would be a completely different story.
I don't think Tanjirou knows about Tamayo killing humans. And Tamayo herself wishes to die along with Muzan to repent.
He doesn't have any way of knowing that, but that aside, she is still working to do good things to atone. Killing her won't bring back the people she's killed, and in her case it would be as bad as killing the people her assistance could have resulted in saving
Yeah, but the moral the story is going with, so far, is that it is ok for Nezuko to live as long as she doesn't kill anyone.
>Tamayo killing humans
She doesn't killing humans. She killed only her family and now she's trying to avenge it
hope they do justice with "enough face"
The people advocating to spare Nezuko all concede that if she did kill someone in the future they would kill her and then slit their own bellies. I think the real question is, if it was revealed through Nezuko regaining her memories that she was turned into a demon and she killed her whole family, would Tanjiro kill her or forgive her? Obviously the answer should be he would kill her to be consistent with the rest of the manga but I don't think he would and I don't think Wani actually has thought any of these possible scenarios through. It really does seem like Tanjiro decides which demons deserve to die based on his emotional reaction upon meeting them which is rather unfair.
No, she definitely munched on some humans.
yaaaaaasssss queeeeeeennnnn
The demon slayers focus on the demons because the government and normal people arent able to do so, normal humans killing others is faaaar less troublesome for the police and government, they will die to wounds and also not regenerate if they are shot in the head.
Given how small the organization is for a country-wide organization i wont be suprised if they dont even have the fighters to deal with all demons let alone focus on evil humans as well.
There is no point in Nezuko being the one who actually killed their family, it's been presented pretty clearly that she tried to protect them instead. Wani has no reason to think about alternate scenarios, it's like asking 'well what if their mom was secretly a demon all along and killed their family'.
As for Tanjirou, he pretty much thinks all demons should die, except if they haven't killed any humans like Nezuko, Yushirou, or the man in Asakusa. He may feel empathetic for them, but he will still kill them. The only problem I can think about is Tamayo, she has killed humans but she has also helped save some. I do think she'll end up dying in this arc anyway.
I'm looking forward to people reaction when seeing Nezuko hurt
>This manga is called demon slayers. Bad humans are for the government to deal with, that would be a completely different story.
Just because it is called demon slayer, doesn't mean everything in the story has to revolve around slaying demons.
I reread Tamayo chapter and I think in this page she's saying about ill people, who died when she tried to turn them to demons. When she said that she need only blood Tanjiro didn't feels any lie in her words.
They might run across a human murdering someone else on their travels. Would they ignore them then?
You right, we should also have Tanjirou dealing with climate change.
I don't think Tanjirou knows Tamayo killed human. It would be interesting to see his reaction if he knows about it.
And you forgot the important part that Tamayo can survive without eating human, while other demons Tanjirou killed can't, or just don't bother.
Three (((3))) wives
>doesn't mean everything in the story has to revolve around slaying demons
That is...kind of the point of the whole story. This is a story about Tanjirou trying to turn Nezuko back into a human and slaying demons along the way. This is not a story about Tanjirou trying to turn Nezuko into a human and acting as the police.
Muzan accuses her of eating people in that page, and Tamayo doesn't seem to deny it. I do think she did end up eating random people out of the despair of eating her own family.
They might run into an exploding volcano and an evacuating village, how would they deal with that? It doesn't matter because neither is relevant to the story nor will it happen.
Fuck that, I need me some Tanjirou x Nezuko, no matter how unrealistic that is.
There are some really messed up scenes in the manga.
pedophiles
>Muzan accuses her of eating people in that page
Yes, but I don't think it was random people. She tried to turn ill people to demons during two hundreds years, but only 1 can endure demon blood. So what happened with people who couldn't? Did they turn to brainless half-demons and she ate them?
The point of thought exercises is not to argue whether or not they did happen, but to test what the characters actually believe. I'm not asking if Nezuko killed her family, I'm asking how would Tanjiro react if he found out she did. Based on excusing Tamayo, it seems reasonable to believe he would excuse Nezuko as well which conflicts with the way he treats all the other demons who have killed.
Maybe that's what his stance is supposed to be, but then I would expect him to act more like Luffy and just beat up demons until they promise not eat any more humans. If he's punishing them for their crimes, he would punish anyone who has murdered. If he's just punishing them for their nature, then he would be like all the other demon hunters who step on demon's bodies and spit on their graves. Clearly the implication is his divine punishment is for the crime of murder.
Fuck off
> Tanjirou trying to turn Nezuko back into a human
This part right here is not included in the name Demon Slayer, yet the story deals with it.
I am not asking the story to go out of its way for Tanjirou to act like a vigilante against criminals. I just wondered if it would frame humans killing other humans in the same light as demons killing humans.
I'm not gonna make it, kimetsu no yaibros. I know the adaptation is good but I'm about to cave and go read the manga.
do it, it only gets better
Manga is the best anyway.
>it seems reasonable to believe he would excuse Nezuko as well which conflicts with the way he treats all the other demons who have killed
No you fucking dumbass. Tanjirou is a man of his word and knows that not only he agreed to killing himself, but that Urokodaki and Giyuu also agreed. Tanjirou is not one to trample on the feeling of others for his selfish gain. He knows the risk is prepared pay the price. He made no such agreement about Tamayo which is why he's more lax with her, and at the very least, can smell the sincerity and honesty in her words. He has no reason to attack Tamayo if she's not actively killing people.
JUST DO IT for the potato face
Presumably they died anyway, much like how Muzan gave blood to the people who bumped into him and they practically exploded.
If in the completely unlikely scenario that Nezuko somehow killed her family, yes Tanjirou would kill her and himself. But part of the reason Tanjirou promises to double suicide is because he knows for certain that she didn't kill anyone yet, so it's still a moot point.
Tanjirou trying to turn Nezuko back is the reason he is slaying demons. And of course humans killing other humans is portrayed as bad in the story, remember Hantengu's background where he killed a bunch of innocent people and was going to be punished for it before becoming a demon? And how it was the local government that took care of it, not the demon slayer organization?
Pastebin user here, according to the raws they're the same move and the sun thing in ch. 81 was probably a misnomer at the time, so is still the most correct version so far.
> incest
you are my nigga
Or it didn't take and they died from their illness anyway. I think Muzan is the only one who can turn any one person into a demon, as long as his blood approves.
>If he's just punishing them for their nature, then he would be like all the other demon hunters who step on demon's bodies and spit on their graves
You could argue that it's part of their nature to kill human, but in that case killing them is just putting them out of their wretched existences. The manga sometimes puts emphasis on how many people a demon ate and how they did it deliberately and showed no remorse, so they deserve punishment. It's not like Tanjirou treats all demon deaths the same either. He empathies with some of them, but absolutely despises the likes of Hantengu and Enmu.
Imagine the smell
The reason I use the Nezuko example is because it's a perfect analog to Tamayo. In both cases he would have decided they were good and didn't need to die before finding out they had actually killed people. The question is simply this, if he found out either of them killed, would he then kill them or would he forgive them? I don't think Wani has thought through this at all even though it's actually a really major inconsistency in the theme of the manga. Does he hate murder or does he just hate unrepentant murder? If he only hates unrepentant murder, why does he kill murderers rather than encourage them to repent. If Akaza had repented out loud rather than just in his mind, would Tanjiro have let him live?
is daki pure?
You're right that he shows more favoritism to the demons who smell of sadness and regret as they die, but he doesn't know before he kills them if they will regret their actions or not. He must go into all of their executions with the same mindset. The question is just, what is that mindset?
>The question is simply this, if he found out either of them killed, would he then kill them or would he forgive them?
He would kill them, though he might not have the heart to personally execute Nezuko and let another hunter do it. If he found out about Tamayo's past he might agree that she deserves a stay of execution until she takes down Muzan.
>Does he hate murder or does he just hate unrepentant murder?
Both
>If he only hates unrepentant murder, why does he kill murderers rather than encourage them to repent. If Akaza had repented out loud rather than just in his mind, would Tanjiro have let him live?
He kills them because they deserve to be punished for their crimes. They can repent and do better in their next life(remember, Buddhist hell is not Christian hell).
Nezuko hasn't eaten any humans, so there's nothing to forgive. Tamayo is a bit of a grey area because she is actively helping fight against demons. In that case Tanjirou would have to consider whether letting her live would end up saving more lives. All other cases, Tanjirou will kill any demon who kills humans. His mindset is that if they regret it, he will still kill them, but he empathizes with them. And Akaza didn't really repent for killing humans, he just accepted his fate and wanted to die. Also it is highly unlikely that demons can stop eating humans and repent while alive, Tamayo is the only one that seems to be trying.
>easy to miss
it's also in the opening
The mindset is to kill those demons even if he pities them. The point is to punish them for the lives they took, and to saves lives they might take if go unchecked. Being empathetic to the demon's plight doesn't stop him from killing them, because it's the right thing to do. Even if Akaza somehow repented, Tanjirou would still cut him down for what he did.
Bottom line: you can be sympathetic with demons (since they used to be human like us) without condoning their actions. And no, Tanjirou doesn't show favoritism to any demon; he always tries to give them a quick, clean death if possible. His personal feelings might be different, but his actions stay consistent throughout.
>brainwashed to do what she intended to do anyway
LOL probably the first 13 episodes wil end with the drum demon defeat and spider family arc starting in episode 14.
>worked as a prostitute in her childhood and then another 100+ years
though I believe it's not explicitly stated/ shown
>Also it is highly unlikely that demons can stop eating humans and repent while alive,
Drum Demon losse his ability to eat humans for some unexplained reason and stop being LM6
I don't he literally lost the ability to eat people, he was going to eat the kid with rare blood. it's more that he was underperforming relative to his rank as a lower moon, so Muzan demoted him.
Holy shit the art really improves.
Different artist. It seems he was hired to do all Kimetsu spin-off material after his Jump manga failed for bad writing but good art.
That's not Gotouge's art
i doubt that demon daki would fuck human at all
maybe not, but she was definitely Muzan's dick sleeve
Tanjirou is the nicest guy ever, but he can be a fucking savage when he's angry. Look how he slashed the demon's mouth because he was talking shit, or maybe seeing Nezuko get hurt made his blood boiling.
muzan only likes shota
Yes, and we are in episode 6, which is covering Chapters 10 and got a bit of Chapter 11; Spider arc starts around Chapter 29 and ends at Chapter 43, I honestly believe the Pillar Meeting will be the Climax of the anime and it ends.
That's the last time Tanjirou went apeshit on a demon a though, he fought seriously against the following demons with the intent to kill but Tanjiro never got this pissed off to straight interrupt another demon trying make sense of their killings.
This episode actually covered both 10 and 11 though, and the first page of 12
I just realized that the bantz don't get good until Tamayo and Yushiro are introduced. What made Wani decide to up the banter?
What's the most iconic panel in the series?
hello spee d. reader
Maybe more confident in the manga?
The news that the manga wasn't getting cancelled.
Nope, no other panel in the series where Tanjiro has that blank expression of pure rage. Muzan pissed him off, Akaza pissed him off hard when Rengoku got killed, the train Lower Moon pissed him even more, but it is a fact Tanjiro never pulled that expression again.
>That's the last time Tanjirou went apeshit on a demon a though
Apeshit like that yes, getting mad =/= going apeshit.
I think that was just Gotouge's early attempt at rage. He's gotten mad since then too.
Just ignore speedreaders
That one with kaijus?
no, bozebeats
OST when? The song that played after 8th form was incredible. Pacing is still on the slow side and although I want it to end on the train arc for the "human fragility" narrative; I'm fine with it ending at the recovery arc (genya in the OP is at shinobu's mansion, so we know the anime will cover it). The train arc also isn't that long and I feel it could wrap up within 2-3 episodes.
train arc was kino
Why does he learn the water sword when his whole theme is supposed to be fire?
Urokodaki used the water style so that's what he taught Tanjirou
They will release Yuki Kajiura's tracks in July 31 with the first BD, they will probably release Go Shiina's tracks later.
Learns from the past water pillar -> water breath
Learns from his dad -> sun breath
He only had connections with water sword guy.
she actually did, how did she gain the top whore title then?
Well my question was more why didn't the writer just make the water sword guy the fire sword guy, but then this answered my question. So just just gets fire sword later.
>Gets fire sword
No, that's not how any of this works.
I just like saying his name like an old Japanese guy.
can't wait to hear love's va, she's such a fun character
She reminds of this youtu.be
That looks creepy. Fuck you.
Die
i agree
it could end with chapter 52, which is a decent cliffhanger
Also the fact that the dream demon almost tricked him into killing himself in real life
Who's winning the love bowl boys?
Everybody
I remember an edit in which he commits suicide because the anime is so bad. Feels like ages ago.
damn whoever made that must feel stupid now
Snek of course
Japanese Mother's Day
Too bad it took fucking over charities for the anime to be so good since the tax bullshit was completely understandable.
innocent until proven guilty user
Thats retarded if Nezuko killed her family she wouldnt be able to resist nomming on Tanjiro or any other human. Muzan gored them for the lulz.
do not lewd Tanjirou
Is nezuko just upside down in there? does he let her out to pee?
lol are you serious
Demons don't pee, silly.
It's japan though. I thought it was guilty until you can prove someone else did it.
Drawing blanks but is there any confirmation that Nezuko was actually created by Muzan's blood? Or are people just assuming? Is there any chance it could have been Muzan's doctor?
>no bush
isn't 18XX japan?
Only dumb demons get in the box
No that's Japanamerica
Tanjirou recognizes Muzan scent and Tamayo mentions it.
Just caught up after reading all of it today. The best part was probably around the time Tanjirou met the pillars and ever since Nezuko saw the Sun. Felt like during the battle with UM6 the battles started to drag way too much, and this happened to the UM4&5 battle too, those 2 parts could probably be cut down somewhat for more breathing room and development. Still a pretty nice read.
so are the attacks in this anime performed by demon hunters representational or are they really physical?
Muzan's doctor is dead user.
iirc the water visuals / any visuals are just effects, there is nothing "magical" about them , its pure physical
except for actual demon magic, which is real magic? not too sure on that
Unironically asian geisha not only sold body, but entertainment
Apparently the best of the best were virgins, and only performed entertainment, while they were bought by rich men for fat sum to be concubines or something.
They were like idols in the past
Not 100% sure however, though
did you skip the entire UM6 arc or something?
what's the unique special super thing behind a black blade?
That was honestly a really clever move. Really enjoyed the dream demon fight
Good thing a Mother's lullaby is better than an old man's suggestion
There are no other black blades.
The first breath user ever also had black blades.
Nothing so far
She wasn't a Geisha, she was an Oiran. Oiran were actual prostitutes.
My Question is that why was Muzan hanging around tanjirou's house in the first place.
Is Muzan really that bored to go murderhoboing people, when he is busy cross dressing as a hot milf, Michael jackson and a cute shota?
I mean if all demons are made from his blood then dudes gotta keep busy.
You would think he would just have other demons bring people to him but you do what you gotta do I guess
>tfw Tanjirou will never gently release you from the suffering of life
One theory is that it was UM1 who may have been a former Breath of the Sun user
Tanjirou's blade turn red when lit on fire with his sister's blood
Tanjirou is Azor Ahai
then his blade is dawn?
Be ill no more, mr. boar
His swords actually keep breaking
His current one seems really special though, he got it out of a mechanical doll of the Breath of the Sun user and when he received it, he had to choose between saving some people or his sister
He sacrificed his sister (to the sun)
She's fine though, she walked it off
It's name is actually 滅 right now, but that might change in time
Despair already fills every fiber of my being
He actually chose to save his sister and abandon the smiths. Nezuko forced him to go save the smiths instead.
Be ill no more, mr. boar
It was more like he froze. As soon as the decision was made for him he completely gave up on saving his sister which was pretty boss
Don't beat yourself up so much Tanjirou, you made a decision, you were just a little later than your sister on it
I'm 53 chapters in and the main trio of this manga is something I've been searching for for a long time. The total insanity and alien logic Inosuke and Zenitsu run on contrasted with Tanjirou, who is really only levelheaded comparatively, is fantastic.
Tokie~
Easy to miss while reading the manga
Be ill no more, mr.boar
Be ill no more Mr. Boar
>have to wait at least another couple of episodes to see based piggers
Not cool
She's a bully!
Be ill no more, Mr. Boar
nice shave
That hairstyle change.
We all want.
That has to be the hardest decision a person can make.
I’m betting that by episode 11 or 12 the anime will adapt 3 manga chapters per episode and with will end at the 66 manga chapters in episode 26.
It's 191X
Yeah, is normal for battle Shonen anime adaptations to start slow and pick up pace after the first 8 to 10 episodes.
️ + Snek = crocodile breath
UGLY
Imagine if the whole manga was drawn in this style, it would easily twice as popular.
UM1 will go to heaven when he reveals he's never killed anyone except demon hunters
Yes.
Because the slow ass pace now means that the future arcs with correct pacing in the manga could end up rushed or too slow.
no thanks, potato > generic art
Rengoku death ending is most kino
That's actually true though. The main cast wouldn't mind demons that don't eat well the non-pillars in the main cast
So if Nezuko ate somebody or maybe even someone just willingly gave her some blood like from a blood packet like Tamiyo would she instantly be high level upper moon level cause she was roughly Daki level 2 arcs ago.
Yuushiro and that husband muzan turned to distract Tanjirou are completely human free.
Tamayo is too now but her past sins haunt her.
He probably killed Tanjirou's family
No heaven for Koku-chan.
This is an ongoing debate that will never be resolved until Nezuko regains her memories. A lot of people just assume it was Kokushibo and not Muzan since that makes way more sense from what we know about the characters currently.
But even then, there are serious questions, were they killed randomly or purposely? It seems unlikely they were killed purposely or it wouldn't have been such a sloppy job.
What’s up with the six eyes? The mechanical doll that imitated Sunbro also had six arms to replicate his movements.
Who is the new UM5? Maybe is gonna be someone connected to Inosuke like the recent UM6.
That sword hilt with eyes is such an amazingly creepy design.
his mother
>His mother who threw him off a cliff as a baby
>"I've come to finish what I started"
Damn the colored mango is great.
Huh I never noticed it. Nice design for sure.
Gyokko
Can't believe he will be soloed by Kanao.
What chapter does the first Akaza fight start at?
63.
Akaza has the shittiest naming sense ever.
there may as well not be any
There has to be one, otherwise Kaigaku wouldn't be UM6.
I feel some Jojo in this purple SFX
Lull
Will Nezuko have sex with Tanjiro if he asked?
Urokodaki's hypnotic suggestion of turning Nezuko into a demon-killing machine and that "everyone is your family" can easily go wrong, if Tanjiro were to get BTFO by a fellow human (maybe an ex Demon Slayer Corps Elite), she would be easily taken advantage of because of the hypnotism effect.
Tanjirou hates scumbags but he seems to be able to forgive minor crimes fairly easily as seen with Genya and worst dad
He's Anti-edge, just doesnt hesitate to kill if it's necessary.
It is odd they haven't dealt with human murderers yet though, i would definitely like to see Tanjirou's world view expanded a bit but I also dont like it when stories feel the need to elaborate on every little detail of everything.
It's a complicated kind of feel
>worst dad
fuck off he did nothing wrong
He let his son die before him
I have the feeling is gonna be a woman.
It can change colors when used with breath of the sun.
