I'm thinking that they'll keep the minimal but significant small moments approach to Kotaro, may keep Xu Fu a hand waved secret, keep Tae mysterious as the meme joke character she is, and go into Yugiri's a bit. Out of those four, Yugiri probably has the highest chance of being looked into should a S2 be actually decided.

Between Saki and Reiko, I'd expect Saki to be the least receptive to her parent's words, even if they did love her. She was always a go-getter kind of person. Reiko's want for normalcy probably helped in taking advice from concerned people, even with her parents divorced and all that.
