Seasonal Discussions

I can't for the life of me watch something that isn't completed (anymore), at least per season.

How do you do it, how do you watch something that you have to wait 2-3 months for a conclusion? Watching weekly anime.

I can rarely matrathon a show, so watching it like a series of films that comes out every few days is pretty nice.

Some shows I'd hate to watch like that though. I can't imagine watching made in abyss weekly with all these cliffhangers.

I actually like watching an episode a week. I select all it the shows I am going to watch, download them and watch them all in one day. Usually Thursdays. With some snacks and beer.
Watching anime sober isn't the same thing anymore.

I only watch comedies as they air since the plot isn't important, if there even is one.

I also dislike watching seasonal shows, I usually wait for the season to end and marathon the shows I like. I know that by doing this I miss on 90% of Yea Forums's discussion, but its not like I watch anime for the community

I hear Ueno and I cum

I only watch anime that aired at least 10 years ago so I don't have to wait for more seasons

It's not like I'm waiting for a conclusion anyway. I just want to have a good time and discussing an episdoe after it aired is fun.
Too bad many anons don't like this season and therefore the board is filled with ironic redditors fishing for (You)s even than usual.

The same way I watch any TV show week by week

Watching weekly as the episode comes out means you can go through the episode threads here.
For some shows the threads can be the best part of them and sometimes discussion completely dies out within a month of finishing so it's nice to be around for.

based
watched any good cel ovas recently?

People enjoy things in different ways. I dislike starting unfinished manga that some times take years to progress. But anime usually has set schedules.

A good show to me is one that doesn't rely on its completion to be considered memorable. Some episodes alone are great on their own. More important than what is being told, is how.

yeah this

the best part of watching an airing anime is being to discuss each episode with Yea Forums and everyone is at the same progression. it's a lot more fun.

I don't know but, I really like the feeling of anticipation that comes from a good cliffhanger.

I don't wait 3 months for the conclusion, I wait 1 week for the continuation.

I wish i watched hisomaso while it was airing, i bet it had a shitton of theories everytime a new episode aired

I don't watch anime.

Simple:
>watch new episodes of the anime you're watching weekly.
>read manga in between waiting for new episodes

so basically spoil the anime for yourself, rendering the anime a bit useless

9/10 I read the manga, the anime fails in comparison

Yeah, I'm sorry I missed the fun of watching Sunrise shitshows/train wrecks like Guilty Crown, VVV and Cross Ange with Yea Forums.

I show's so bad it doesn't hold a candle to the manga why even watch the show?

No. Read manga that are not the source of the seasonal anime you are watching.

Not the source material of the anime, manga in general.

Main reason is discussion the episodes with others and not receiving spoilers
Its really not that great to discuss some big plot twist or localized joke when the anime has finished.

Episodic shows don't require completion to enjoy single episodes of. Some shows are gripping enough that waiting for the next episode adds to anticipation. It's also nice to have something to talk about with people.

It turns out that marathoning makes you enjoy something less. Not having a break from the show doesn't give you any time to digest the plot, characters or themes a story might have going on.
I think a lack of patience and binge watching culture (think netflix) has contributed to the decline of quality in shows which is the reason everything has harem/moe elements now, in my opinon.
