Just started watching this, about 30 episodes in. I'm really enjoying it, but there is a distinct lack of girls. It's a shota sausage party, and it would be a deal breaker if not for the good characters and interesting story. But where are the girls? Please tell me the party gets a couple at some point. Please don't spoil the show though.

>Where are muh girls that are supposed to be just fap material
I don't think so Tim.
Not fap material. I do prefer to see some cute girl though over a bunch of boys all the time. I can put up with it for a while, but would like to look forward to some variety.
If you want girls, go watch a shoujo. HxH is for intellectual white males.
Who?
Like I said, I'm really enjoying it. And I'll stick with it all the way, even if it remains a circle jerk. It just seems to be an odd thing in anime to not have at least one chick in the gang.
HxH is made for men, just like the works of Fukumoto, go read some generic shit if you want worthless female presence.
Underage
HxH is literally Johnny Test but green.
There are no remarkable girls because HxH is fujo pandering
There are pretty good female characters starting from the Yorkshin arc. The current arc in the manga has a fuckton of girls.
>made for men
>all dat shota
I'm guessing all these excuses and defensiveness is a "No" then?
Are you a feminist? Why do you care about female characters so much?
Thank you.
what do you think it would add to the show that a male couldn't in any meaningful way
I like looking at them more than male ones. Call me shallow, but if I'm spending my time watching a show, I want to like what I'm looking at. Not that the show isn't beautifully done and entertaining. I suppose it's more that I was surprised that there were none. I wouldn't call myself a far-traveled connoisseur of anime, but the trope usually has a girl or two along for the ride (and I've heard that this show is all about breaking tropes, so I get it).
This. There are some great female characters. But I do genuinely appreciate the main cast having no forced heroine which usually turns out poorly in this type of story (like Keiko in YYH).
an equally fun/kickass character that also happens to be eye candy. Or a potential love interest. I wanted to see that black girl at Killua's go with the gang. Or his cute loli sister even.
the black girl appears again
>cute loli sister
oh user, killua has no sisters
I agree. I'd rather it have none than a badly-done one.
You sound like a Yurifag, so I'll warn you that there won't be any "heroine" or female that will join the gang, nor will you see any fanservice or that kind of stuff. All the female characters in HxH will be way different than what you're used to.
>sister
user...
Like I said, I'm only 30 eps in. Seemed like she was his sister. Interesting.
>where are the girls
Blondie on the left.
He's Killua's brother.
I'm not. And I'm down for that. Just wondering if there was a reason, other than subverting the trope for its own sake.
*whip crack*
Fuck.
...doesn't that prove my point though about this shit being shota? They seem to have no problems with the cute boys everywhere. Is that not fanservice too?
Madhouse included a lot of shota fanservice for the fujo money but the manga is different.
>cute boys everywhere
Who?
The main 4 party never join up again. One girl joins for a while. Then another a bit later.
>Fukumoto
Are you?
Far left one is a girl
Best girl

Checked. And are you fuckers for real? Don't tell me if it spoils anything serious, but that's whack.
Kurapika is male.
Kurapika's gender is never confirmed either way, it's a dumb meme
Based.
Cringe
On the left
Deal with it.
best girl already appeared
hisoka would be angry at you for ignoring his fiancée like that
Who cares? It's not like it would be more interesting if there were more women in it.
There are more women in the current manga arc though, so when you get caught up you will see some more.
Quads confirmed.
Women belong in the kitchen, not in battle shounen
watch hentai instead of a well constructed story
this series is made for men
male shotacon
>a potential love interest
Killua.
Gon and Killua are canonically homosexual.
>Or a potential love interest
have you read the manga? Killua literally says he will commit a lovers suicide with Gon so he can be with him in the afterlife.
Was it ever revealed what Gon or Killua's Hunter licence number was? Cant find that shit anywhere.
Don't drag Kaiji into your stupid fujo series mumblefag
He's not talking about Alluka you tranny obsessed faggot
>inb4 pitou fags incoming
There will be 1 cute girl in protagonist team for a while and in later episodes they will introduce an antagonist team with 1 very hot girl
Lol, moefag can't watch anything without muh cute girls doing cute things.
Killua has NO biological female siblings you mongoloid.
WAIT this whole time you thought Kalluto was female?
If u want cute girls, go watch MHA.
No he doesnt, you faggot
Wait.
Isn't Kurapika a reverse-trap though?
>interesting story
What makes it interesting?
It'll be improved if it did have that.
The romantic development of Gon and Killua.
Keep in mind I'm only 34 episodes in. So far, I like the way they're reigning in the power of the characters. Gon isn't very strong, and it gives him a good challenge in the far superior people he encounters. Hisoka is an interesting villain, since he's intimidating as hell to Gon, but we don't know his motivations. He's not a straight up bad guy. The supporting cast is kind of tame (hence my wish that they could have a girl to break it up a little), but I like the rivalry between Gon and Killua. Killua isn't an asshole antagonist like Vegeta, or what became of Sasuke in Naruto, but the show does a good job of letting them be rivals and challenge one another, while still being friendly. The challenges faced so far have been pretty good too. I liked the Hunter exams, and the fighting tower (can't recall the name of it) is an interesting concept. And the Nen system is a pretty fresh take on anime ki structures, from what I've seen so far (which isn't much). Overall, it's kept my attention by being fresh enough to maintain my curiosity, and the parts of a show that usually drag have been pleasantly brief. One episode even cut out halfway through a fight, and showed Gon beaten up and defeated in his room. The others later explained what happened. This was really nice, since I expected it to take a few episodes to lurch through him getting his ass kicked, as a lot of shows do.
Kurapika
There is a girl in Greed Island and some girls in the current arc of the manga. You can also pretend Kurapika is a girl, although that has beeb confirmed false in interviews.
Then just watch any cgdct shit. It's only 90% of current anime.
I wonder what feminists think about these anime that have all girl casts but only exist for moe fags to fantasize over.
Ponzu a cute
why
O
MY
SEVEN
I couldn't care less what a feminist thinks. And I don't care for moe. I like what the show is just fine. It seems it's all well and good for these shota homos to salivate at the potential between Gon x Killua, and good for them. It's not my thing though. Sure, it would have been nice if Killua were the same character, but female, so straight people like me could feel the same about the two of them. But it is what it is, and that's fine. I don't get why wanting to see girls has to mean I want the show to be some harem fanservice or some shit. I really can't see how it's such a difficult concept to get.
GUM
RUBBER
QUIRKS
There will be powerful female characters if "women in shounen are weak" is your problem ... BUT not in the MC squad
>1 very hot girl
>girl
>potential between Gon x Killua
No such thing, cocksucker.
>BUT not in the MC squad
Kurapika is already there though.
This meme is dead though
bro how does it feel making the same exact post on a near daily basis
You have to understand that hxh has been running for a long time. Back then you didn't have female characters in your MC fight squad. Later on in the series string female characters are introduced as it becomes more of a thing.
>Keep in mind I'm only 34 episodes in
HxH will blow your mind after finishing whole show
I think people are missing the point of there being an absence in HxH of women characters, or anyone explicitly gendered female, for that matter. Togashi is obviously aware of the hyper-masculinized nature of battle shonen; it's practically a pre-requisite for being included in the genre. This hyper-masculinity often renders the protagonist completely oblivious to sexualized waifubait with whom they interact; thus we get asexual idiots like Goku and Luffy.
But as one can easily see, this infantilized mindset itself has no grounding in reality, and is often antithetical to the hyper-awareness of sexuality that characterizes the targeted demographic. The reason that asexual protagonists are so effective is because the teenage boy reading this drivel can insert himself into the protagonist's shoes and feign a kind of innocence, while at the same time oogling over Oda's cast of big-titted Staceys. It immunizes the teenage reader from their own inability to perform sexually (the reason why many oversexed and unattractive nerds flock to anime)
Togashi, in his brilliance, deconstructs this staple of shonen by creating a world that is hyper-masculine to the point of toxicity. He gives the average shonen reader what he wants but cannot admit: a world without women. But this has disastrous consequences. Sexual desire still exists as it would in the real world; the only difference is that it has no place to go. Thus, sexual desire is channeled into gratuitous acts of violence and depravity, as though to remind the reader of their own repressed urges.
>watching a shounen
>where are the girls
shut up faggot, you know what you signed up for.
Based
Togashi knows shipping is cancer so eat shit faggot.
I don't doubt it. I just finished Gon's fight with Hisoka, and it was excellent. I love Hisoka's character. Can't wait to watch the rest of the show.
>Sexual desire still exists as it would in the real world; the only difference is that it has no place to go.
Buttfucking.
>Shonen
>Where are the girls?
>Good characters
>Interesting story
0/10
Yeah no, he's just gay. He wanted to make that trap tennis manga and is married to his female counterpart. She probably pegs him desu.
Hot
good bait
Togashi's wife married him because he farted on her and showed her his foreskin
After this arc, you'll get into what is considered one of the best arcs in shounen
Like I'm living rent free in your head.
No, Kurapika is a reverse-reverse-trap. A reverse-trap is a girl that looks like a boy. Kurapika is a boy that looks like a girl that looks like a boy.
HELLO my fellow hunterchads.
What are you reading today to expand your knowledge to new horizons and in your expectation of new chapters?
Right now I'm reading Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus.
Despite not agreeing with some of his views on the communication of philosophy, I found that most of his points are pretty well-grounded. Even then, it's far from "solving" philosophy.
Personally, I'm reading Hobbes's Leviathan. Watching people react to things illustrates the lowly common man's inability to form his own opinion and follow blindly any semblance of "authority" they can find to tell them how to think and act, and tell them what is right and wrong.
Its sad really. I can't imagine being such a lowly creature such as that. I thank my lucky stars every day I was born a Hunterchad.
SASUGA TOGASHI! HE HAS DONE IT AGAIN! The man has deconstructed traps!
based togachad
Oh my rubber nen
KINO
The gay tennis manga was going to be used to exposition Togashi's theories on gender, sexuality, romanticism, social constructs, and identity. Togashu was decades ahead of tumblr and feminists on things like heteroromanticism.
You'll see pitou in the future, just keep watching.
Whats a better show than HxH that I can binge?
Shiki
Shiki is just a badly executed Chimera Ant arc.
I heard Level E had a FtM character
I’m re-reading Beyond Good and Evil
By Nietzsche. Very good read for those interested in Philosophy.
try utena
hmm yeah I dont think I want another Chimera Ant wannabe unless it has Pitou
thanks user
>antagonist team with 1 very hot girl
I agree, Machi is very cute!
Detective Conan
But Togashi saved the best girls before this series ends.
Stories are better with less female presence.
Going to post this on the next few threads
