Yes and no.
The SECRET in Unato castle affects all kabane and Kabaneri so both Ikoma and Mumei have to deal with cripling headaches and urges to turn.
Obviously it's not good when it happens during a fight.
But once they deal with their shit in ep.3 Mumei has some nice fighting sequences too.

Kind of a shame the staff still can't come up with a way to make Ikoma look good that doesn't involve nerfing Mumei. She deserves to be in a better show than this shit fest.

He was pretty badaas when he wasn't in full rape mode and they both kind of switched between weak and powerful in this.

Then there's some rape attempt and more DRAMA until ep3 where they heal with the power of love.
