We don't know but Toriyama said he would be okay with using him again so he might appear in a future manga arc like Freeza ended up appearing during the ToP

He already was stronger than any unfused blonde SS (minus Kale), he just needed to learn how to use his power properly, it's literally stated in the movie.

What I'd like to see: Broly's potential actually fucking means something and he becomes THE STRONGEST fighter in the series unambiguously, but when the next "big bad" shows up, he ends up jobbing not because he was overpowered but due to some kind of hax like battlefield removal or mindfucking, basically forces them to play this hand to the benefit of the other fighters by being so powerful. Broly feels humiliated by falling for these tricks and this leads to change of mindset that causes him to be an even more level-headed and effective combatant.

What's actually going to happen: He becomes an ancillary character we rarely see such as Hit, most likely gets jobbed by a more powerful enemy, and then Goku gets a new power-up afterwards to win proving he is also stronger than Broly because Goku is the best.
