Which Isekai has the best overall story? From the ones I've read MT is the one I liked the most. The MC strives to become better, he has a lot of flaws but also a lot of good points, the knowledge he had from his past life didn't impact that much on his strength, he just kept getting better and better like a normal person.The only advantage he ever had was knowing that he had to make the best of his life. I know it's not perfect,that's not what I'm saying, just that this is the story that I satisfied me the most. All these isekai with overpowered MCs just being total betas and never really working for anything while still being the strongest are just momentary satisfaction but by seeing the MC from MT live his whole life doing his best and achieving more than he ever tought he'd be able to, I enjoyed it way more than any other Isekai.

Even then, they never use the correct sword stances, even for alleged sword masters. Might just be my /tg/ autism, but it's really jarring to see swordfighting done so consistently badly and boringly across so many series.

I recently caught up on Dungeon Defense LN. It's a Korean Novel. It's not bad and I've found it to be a fun read. MC is not OP and he has no way of becoming physically stronger. The MC is rank 71 out of 72 Demon Lords. By human standards he would be peak physical form but no more than that. The high ranking demon lords can kill him with a snap of a finger. He's also living the game on nightmare difficulty and gets to select only one special ability at the end of the tutorial and is in $50000 something worth in debt.

What he dose have is incredible intellect from birth. He has moments where time slows down when his brain goes into overdrive solving problems much like Sherlock Holmes in the movies. He's also a bastard.

He beat the game IRL as the hero. Now he has 10 years to change the future and save the world from the humans or be the first to die at the Heros hands.

If I had to compare it to anything its like an edgy Game Of Thrones with D&D high fantasy. Also bloodier more ruthless battles and politics.

It starts as your run-of-the-mill plot where four people from Earth got transmigrated (add blessings by gods cliche while at it) by a kingdom in order to defeat the demon lord... except the summoning process itself lagged, and the heroes arrived thousands of years late; and that kingdom, or rather, all of civilization of that world got rekt already. And guess who greets them when they get there? None other than a remorseful demon lord itself. Heroes attempt to battle him, but he just held them in place then goes blablabla about how he realized he was meant to be defeated a long time ago by the summoned heroes and the research he had done about the transmigrating process and the lag. He then tasks the heroes on a covert mission to steal certain mcguffins held by his 4 generals (no one else knows about his research) so that he could perform the ritual to send them back to the proper timeline. The heroes's can't fully rely on the demon lord's support other than advises, hints and a mcguffin from the demon lord himself that blurs/spoofs/shades/mosaics the heroes' true form in the eyes of the generals and lesser demons. Then add a backstory that all the demon lord wanted was to unite everything under his rule but his generals went vicious and overboard in destroying shit, that all non-demonic living things were eventually kill (and once it happened, the generals now turned into fighting amongst each other) and the demon lord grew tired of their shit. And of course included is the occasional application of vidya/IRL Earth knowledge by the isekai'd heroes in their quest to steal some important shit.

In the LN there were times when the only thing on the chapter is a description on some uninteresting shit.
In this manga there are shitload of skills with vague sounding names, most of them remain that way long after we lost all interest in knowing what they do.
