I do. I'm going to finish Sakura Quest this weekend.
I already do, sakura quest and HanaIro are my favorites.
Tari Tari was an interesting show.
I didn't recognize worst girl in the middle.
only if there's more spanish characters
I’m want to watch A Lull in the Sea
cope
o
p
epoc
What's with with PA works and Spain? Is some spic a higher up in the studio? They should make a bullfight series with its corresponding new Aoi
moji moji shite kimoi ne~
Yeah you know what i've been willing to rewatch shirobako for months.
Try and stop me
i really liked shirobako. are any other pa works shows good?
this one is a bit of a disappointment. at least the OP is carried by a banger.
Fairy Aoi a cute.
Their SoLs are comfy as fuck. Hanasaku was stupid but chill.
Shirobako movie when?
Just finished NagiAsu. I know Mari Okada shows are shitty but I'm kinda starting to like them. Except AnoHana, that one is inexcusable.
not shirobako good
the tanuki show's okay
Lovely lips.
Background kino
Pretty meh.
Middle would cause a shitstorm if it was airing today. Although I think it was controversial back then too.
Sawa is the best
I can say that I’m one of two or three people here that love Glasslip. I rewatch it on a monthly basis
can't wait for more diesel-chan and won't forget moot girl
Did you expect Nako's nakos? Too bad, it's me, Yamakan!
fairy keeps reminding me of niji lips and my old shounen haato
Again?
I didn't appreciate them pulling a Reflectia while I was watching Tari Tari. Gave me PTSD.
Uchouten Kazoku, Hanasaku Iroha, Nagi no Asukara, and Sakura Quest are all good. Sakura Quest is particularly good if you're legally posting on this board and not underageb&. Do not watch Glasslip unless you want to watch something bad. Charlotte is too middling to even watch ironically. Uma Musume shouldn't have been good but ended up being a bunch of fun.
I don't believe you.
What is wrong with the two or three of you here?
you now remember the flash game
I really enjoyed Nagi No Asukara, comfy setting and interesting characters
Ano Natsu De Matteru not so much, made it 3 episodes in but the constant cutting away to play out scenes in their head is really fucking annoying to watch. Not sure if I'll finish it.
What else should I try from them? Their animation is usually on point
I like Sakura Quest. It was really comfy and fun.
I really enjoyed "The World in Colours".
Watching someone slowly coming out of her shell through club activities was cute. I also really liked the subtle touches they did like Hitomi trying to open a window by knocking, or Hitomi trying to use her desk like a touch screen.
I tried but Sakura Quest bored me to death.
Piss off redditors
It’s comfy and it’s not as lacking as brainlets think. PA Works isn’t always the best at explaining plot holes, and it amazes me that people only shit on Glasslip when there are far worse garbage out there
I thought they really succeeded with Hitomi's whole character, but a lot of the rest of the show felt either shallow or generic.
PA works discussion? For those unaware, in the ten years afterstory novel Konatsu becomes a single mother.
i would say flat rather than shallow, there wasn't a lot going on but that's kind of why i liked it, it was a comfy friday night watch.
True tears was great
inb4 someone posts that MS pain comic.
Yeah. It was comfy but also detailed.
>only shit on Glasslip
I shat on Charlotte in the same post. I would have shat on HaruChika if I didn't forget that it existed. And I haven't seen Tari Tari, etc. yet, so I couldn't comment on them.
My problems with Glasslip don't come from complaints of plot holes (which I don't recall there being any), or anything like that. It was awful to watch weekly, constantly hoping it would get better, and each week being met with an episode worse than the last one. Yes, it had stuff going on that wasn't always directly explained, but that doesn't make it good. Teenage drama that was dumb for those characters. And a completely unsatisfying conclusion that explained the one thing the show had going for it - Touko's visions of the future - as the fantastical imagination of a young girl. Utterly boring. All of this having to follow Nagi no Asukara, which only made the disappointment worse. The one good thing that show did for me was give me something to joke about with the friend who weathered it with me.
I am genuinely curious about what you see in it.
For me, the worst part was that the plot went nowhere.
>Pirate KyoAni
No
That's bullshit and I don't believe it.
Hiromi is the best P.A. Works girl.
>2019
>I am forgotten
Fuck was this good?
You could say the same shit for any Kyoani show. People like Hyouka because he’s literally them but the anime is extremely repetitive. Something happens, Chitanda’s curious, Oreki solves. The best part to come out of it was the OST
Glasslip’s plot isn’t the best and there’s a lot unexplained, but I like the fact that it’s opened to interpretation. Did Kakeru leave? What were the fragments of the future? Everybody has a different explanation for what happened, and I’ve my own. I guess it’s more frustrating to see posts like yours that say they “survived” Glasslip. Nobody’s forcing you to watch it, and it’s practically a hive mind meme to criticize it just to criticize it for existing. There are plenty of anime out there that are “praised” just because of a simple plot and a happy end
>Tiniest Tari becomes preggo
As if.
Space Miuna will always be in my heart.
Happened to Ohana's mother too.
It really suffered from Netflix's stupid binge-watching faggotry that caused unreliable subbing
sakura quest is soulless shirobako
which is a waste because story concept is great
how could they fuck it up
people hype it but it's mediocre or worse
>bringing up Kyoani for no reason
And no, you couldn't say the same thing. Hyouka has teenage drama that is reasonable for its characters, and to say that all episodes boil down to "Chitanda's curious, Oreki solves," ignores everything else that other characters do in the series. But I think I would also complain that Hyouka sometimes had boring conclusions to some of its stories. And the student film arc was drawn out far too long when the solution was obvious from the start, but even that was used to show something about Oreki's character.
>Nobody's forcing you to watch it
You're right. I forced myself to keep watching it because I thought it might get better, and later out of stubbornness because I knew it wouldn't. That's not a defense of the show. It's an obvious statement that would only be relevant if I was in the middle of watching it. Saying that I survived it doesn't imply I was forced into it, just that I got all of a thing that I did not enjoy from beginning to end, and didn't give up in the middle.
>it's practically a hive mind meme to criticize it
Common criticism != hive mind. Maybe it's a meme that the show is bad because most people who watched it really found that it wasn't worth watching, and not because other people told them so.
But hey, I got an explanation of what you do enjoy about the show. I don't think that the parts that are open to interpretation are really that significant. And, as I said before, the show offers an explanation to the fragments of the future that seems like it is the one that is meant to be taken as fact. But I'll agree to disagree, as I didn't set out trying to change your opinion, just to exchange views.
I typically have a different take on things, which is why I guess I enjoy anime that are usually hated by others. I won't deny that the characters weren't given a plethora of personality as per other anime, but for me, each anime is its own and I really don't compare.
I guess Glasslip, for me at least, boils down to the unique relationship dynamics of the group until an unexpected factor comes in and changes everything. I've always thought that the fragments of the future were not intended to be the future itself, but what could become of it. Visions like Kakeru falling, the beach scene where Touko envisions a falling out with Yanagi, all of them never happened. Think of it like regular glass. In the anime, you can notice that viewing the glass at a different angle can distort the view. My guess was that Touko's visions that she saw were distorted through the glass and lead to scenarios that could be disastrous for the group. Yet, even Touko saw negative visions of what was believed to be the future, she continued to create glass beads and look through them, knowing that they may not always be the future she hoped for. But in doing so, she opened up other possibilities that the future could not define - like the no-dating rule in the group. And in the end, much like the close of the summer festival, the summer of their lives were ended. But that didn't always mean it was bad - they may not have been as close as they were before, but to those closest to them they managed to get closer then ever.
I cannot deny that there was poor writing in various instances. But I like to believe there was more of a meaning to Glasslip. I don't think the writers carelessly inputted plot devices like chickens for no reason.
Did he manage to become a hero?
I wish I could have watched this show with Yea Forums
youtube.com
but I've watched every single one of them except Glasslip which I couldn't get into, and the second half of Nagi no Asakura becuase it got a bit boring
The only good shows P.A. Works has made were Tari Tari and Shirobako
長年付き合ってたぽい彼氏との間に子供出来ちゃってプロポーズされたけど
来夏がそういう成り行きとかで結婚したくたいって言ったらそのまま喧嘩別れしたんや
She got pregnant with a guy she had been dating with for many years. He proposed but Konatsu didn’t want to get married like that so they got into a fight.
Wein became a highschool teacher.
Tanaka became a badminton pro
Sawa's horse died so she resigned.
Oh and Charlotte I dropped because it was just.. just terrible.
>Sawa's horse died so she resigned
What about Sakai?
God I would lull into Chisaki's sea.
Dont see anything there. i might need to buy this
I see. Pretty sad you think the anime has closure and half of the cast has bad endings outside of it.
Why did only the guys get good endings?
Japs hate women
Maybe Konatsu will like being a mom
Hitomi is a CUTE! CUTE!
Hanasaku Iroha After Story coming this year
But I want NagiAsu Side Story.
I need what happens on Chisaki and Kaname's highschool life.
I can't believe Yuito died alone.
Sakura Quest was a steaming pile of shit, it gets a lot of praise around here for no good reason.
He probably didn’t
To this day this is still one of the sexiest outfits any P.A. works girl wore.
didnt the samurai mc NTR some faggot that had a crush on her?
ITT not Red Data Girl
Yes: Shirobako, Nago no Asukara, Irozuku
No: Fairy Gone, Sirius, Kuromukuro
