>Plot
Two delinquents are best friends since they are young. One of them has a secret girlfriend he loves very much. One day she is killed together with her family by the local mafia, they team up to destroy the bandits, actually becoming mafiosos themselves in the process. The gf grandpa is also an old retired mafioso and will serve as the guru for one of them for at least one arc.
>Power system
Some kind of esoteric shit, it's like a mix of ki and magic, will give power to control bullets, harden swords and knives, become stronger and things like that. At least the first arc won't have anything like that tho, just fists, swords and guns.
>MC(s)
Think Yusuke Urameshi and a bad ass Shinichi Okazaki (with less piercing tho, but a sexy boy).
>Love interest 1
The gf was really sweet and well-behaved, very hard to believe she'd date a punk (her boyfriend will start believing he is to blame for her death). Anyways, the gf had a cousin that is just like her but more wild (and sexier), she even smoke cigarettes. He is attracted to her but is repelled by how different she is from his deceased love.

A city of people with cybernetic implants is ruled by the the winner of a tournament every six years. Our main character fights in the tournament to abolish it, having grown up under 18 years of tyranny. Even if he makes it to the top, he still needs the power to change a system that has remained despite a long line of differing despots trying to seize control for themselves.
>power system
Each person has a biocompatibility rating, which determines what types of augments they're able to get. Some people will reject ordinary nerve-attached prosthetics, some people are more machine than man. Characters can take various drugs to temporarily or permanently modify their biocompatibility, although they have side-effects, particularly the various permanent modification drugs.
In addition, people have a bioelectricity coefficient, which allows their bodies to utilize the various augmentations they're compatible with either more or less effectively.
>MC
He's a determined 18 year old guy, born on the eve of the tournament from three cycles ago. He wears sunglasses at night, to the consternation of everyone he knows.
>Love interest
Cute greasemonkey girl with glasses who helps the MC out through his fights.
>Red herring
She's a red-haired firebrand who's fairly into the MC, and probably wouldn't have been a bad choice for him. She ends up falling in love with the MC's best friend, however.
>Antagonist
The current ruler of the city. He's not quite evil, but he's lazy, amoral, and inexperienced as a leader. He's there because only he's strong, which is why his reign is so awful, and it's why the MC wants to end it.

If I wanted this to sell better, I'd just find and replace every mention of cybernetics with magic, but fuck that.

>4500 people across the world all wake up with the number 365 on their hand one day. This number counts down every day, and can only be seen by other people with numbers. These number bearers also begin to wake a variety of superpowers, unleashing chaos on the world.
This is such a satisfyingly straight forward shonen series plot. I like it.

>Antagonist
a secret organization all about preventing arcanists from their world-hopping shinanigans, sometimes they help MC defeat evil arcanists trying to play god othertimes they try to hunt him down other than that it's rival arcanists and the evil natives

>Plot
Ain't figured that out yet
>Power system
Bunch of people have different powers now but they're contained in a rod. If you steal someones rod (by beating them up usually) you can upgrade your powers. ie. You got super strength and you steal the guy who becomes metals power, now you are strong mecha man.
>MC
Normal guy with anxiety thrust into bullshit. Power is he is faster the more calm he can stay but moves slower the more anxious he gets.
>Love interest (MCbowl winner)
Girl who can manipulate feelings.
>Love interest (red herring)
Powerless childhood friend
>Antagonist
Everyone else with a rod

>Plot
Everybody on earth falls asleep one day and has the same dream. It's a series of mono e mono fights that compose a worldwide tournament arc designed to find the leader of humanity.

>Power system
While each fight is a physical confrontation, physical fitness means little. Determination and imaginative problem solving are what win contests, which vary wildly. Victors in battle are rewarded with skill points, which they can use to upgrade their physical abilities and learn otherworldly new ones. The collection of all possible skill trees is kept in a massive library, and mastery over this library grants an immense edge in battle.

>MC
A usually upbeat high school junior who's fallen into a state of depression after his childhood friend RED HERRING falls into a truck-kun induced coma. He's friendly, but quickly discovers that he also has a ruthless side that he tries to come to terms with.

>Love Interest (MCbowl winner)
Revolutionary girl utena, but bigger boobs. MC falls for her after discovering that the struggles she went through in the tournament mirrored his own, and that she reacted to her problems in the same way that he did. They fight in the final round, and actually take it seriously because they have ideological differences.

>Love interest (red herring)
moeblob childhood friend in coma that MC gets to see again in dreamworld and fight at some point in the tournament. Once she's out of the picture, MC starts to meet the incredible people that survived late into the tournament and meets better gfs.

>Antagonist
See MCbowl winner. MC hates her for the same reason he loves her. The tournament weeds out people with character flaws like narcissism and neuroticism; the traits that remain are those that the MC can't help but love, but they also stand in his way.

There's also an underlying sense of unease at the powers behind the tournament.

>Plot
A bunch of ladies are fighting it out to see who is the prettiest and toughest. The thing is, they are all guys except the MC and one other person.
>Power system
Clothing based
>MC
Abrasive and acts like a guy but is actually sensitive and deeply insecure on the inside

A civil war broke out in the empire, the 16 Royal Knights are thrown against each other. The MC, who finds his way up as the squire of one of the knights wants to end the war at all costs. Meanwhile, an external force seems to pull the strings of the nobility, and lurks in the shadow waiting to strike.

>Power System
There are 16 holy swords, they are separated in 4 categories: Heaven, which are those that wield the power of the Gods Above; Ground, made by the Demons of Below; Chaos, made by humans who found the remnants of the war between demons and gods; and Order, created by the Gods from the remnants of the defeated Demons.
There are also another, known, 32 weapons, made in semblance of the holy swords. 16 of these are in control of their respective squires, yet 16 are scattered. Although much weaker than the holy swords, these still lift any knight beyond human capacities.
Each sword amplifies the wielder's physical and mental capabilities, while also letting them wield their power. While the sword's power is set, how much of it one can draw depends on their on physical and mental capabilities and how well attuned they are with the sword.
The swords are all sentient, but their sentience is tied with the user, losing their memories and personality when ownership is transferred.

>MC
He starts as a weak boy who, at the age of 14, became the sole protector of his village, being the last able-bodied male in it. He works the fields and trains his body almost daily. One day, a Company sacks his village and burns the fields. The boy desperately tries to fight them off, but becomes a joke among the soldiers. The Royal Knight leading them takes notice of the group picking on the boy. The boy challenges the knight and, after being brutally beaten, is given a chance of turning into someone capable of protecting people.

Idol Anime/Battle Highschool show in which the Battle of the Bands means real battles as Idol girls with superhuman abilities fueled by fame and the fervor of their fans duke it out to be the highest rated act in the country, but only one woman can stand athwart the Throne at Altimont. The Female lead, a Pyrokinetic who generates pure heat energy which she uses to create thermobaric explosions and to generate lift allowing her to swoop around in her idol costume's specially designed carbon-fiber wingsuit extensions, follows her dream of becoming "Number One, With a Bullet" by defeating her competition any way she can. Along the way she does battle with other bands, fights a bitter rival, falls in and out of love, and champions the power of Rock and Goddamn Roll, all set to a fucking blistering barrage of covers of classic 70's and 80's rock tunes.

Each opening to the show would be different, highlighting the MC's band, Fire of Unknown Origin(Blue Oyster Cult cover band), versus one of her rival bands who each use different kinds of music, cold-opening into the battle proper for a few minutes, before flashing back to tell the story of how they got there. The ending theme would be Joan Jett's I Love Rock and Roll covered by Jam Project with Masami Okui on Lead Vocals.

you're literally in a thread where you can make something better if you wanted, and you still don't. Thanks whisperchad.

>Plot
The anime takes place after the death of the main protector of earth, like a Ultraman type or whatever, the plot is about different anime hero tropes trying to fill in the place of the dead hero.
Entering in conflicts with allies and the hero's villains
>MC
Scarlet Savior.
"Normal Guy who gets Sentai Powers"
Only he gets traumatized as the series goes on,slowly but surely realizing that good and evil is a actual force in the universe and for him to become number one he needs to break the cycle of lawful good heroes, but at the same time still keep his morality intact.
>Love Interest(MCbowl winner)

>Love Interest(red herring)
Heart Breaker
Magical Girl, who thought the course of the series gets more and more in love with the MC,she is a parody of those Shounen MCbowl winners.
>Antagonist
The Demon Rival of the dead Hero, who killed him but with a suicide attack.
Thought the course of the series he gets rebuilt and at the end it's revealed he had the device that transformed the dead hero into his ultraman persona, turning himself into a corrupt version of the Hero

I had an idea back in college about a trashy Magical girl who finds a magical mood ring in a dumpster. She then has to fight a cascade of mood boosted magical girls who each represent a different "type" of magical girl. She fights with a combination of MMA techniques, things she's seen on TV and just lots and lots of punching. The main character is actually the reincarnation of the same Magical girl that is reborn and is destined to find the ring. Inevitably she will have to face some sort of cataclysmic event that'll threaten the earth during which she is destined to die.
My goal was to sorta combine something like Sailor moon and Jojo's Bizarre adventure where some of the powers were more...abstract while others were more straightforward. That and most of the characters had some "rapid punches" and their own "cry". (The main character made her own sound effects when she punched cuz she's a dork so she'd yell out "BADABADBADABADABADABADA" as she punched someone) It's still an idea I'd wanna make as sort of my own weird love letter to manga tropes but I don't have the time or skill to pull it off.

The three nations, Gen, Jiki, and Kaku, were built around three mysterious energy sources, each known as a "god in the machine". This resulted in a caste system where "prophets" were revered aristocrats, citizens held almost no political power, and "monks" were glorified slaves, their lives being dedicated to maintaining the infrastructure of the machines and serving the prophets.

>Antagonist
The Prefect of Gen, a prophet who staged a coup d'etat and executed any dissident prophets. His lover is a monk, who was horribly burned as punishment for her relationship with him. This prompted his popular revolution, where he rallied the citizens and monks with a promise to unite the three nations and establish a democracy free of caste.

The Prefect orchestrates the assassination of the majority of Kaku's prophets and the theft of their messengers. He discovers a process to grant common folk the ability to operate messengers, though his success is limited to Gen's own messengers, not the ones stolen from Kaku. His lover volunteers, but he forbids her due to the risk.

In order to secure a political alliance with Jiki, MC is engaged to the firstborn prince. However, he has been conspiring with the Prefect to bring down both other nations. MC's monk friend uncovers this and is nearly killed, but the MC fends the traitor off. He flees to Gen and leads a massive blitzkrieg on Jiki, devastating the country and killing most of its royal family. However, the cost to Gen's own forces is so great that the Prefect executes the prince. She meets the Prefect in battle routs his forces.

The Prefect is hospitalized due to suffering a fatal dose of radiation poisoning as a result. After several days in agony, he is mercy killed by his lover, who thereafter commits seppuku. Having lost its leadership, Gen agrees to an armistice. By the end of the war, Jiki's diarchs have survived, though their heirs were killed; Gen devolves into civil war, and MC leads reform of Kaku's aristocracy, emancipating the monks. MC marries her friend in a small, quiet ceremony.

>Plot
In a certain notJapan region, 11 major family clans held complete monopoly on their respective trades (IT, crafts, fishery, etc). Each families are backed by a guardian spirit inspired by historical/mythological figures that wages war over each other for dominance...with A CHILDREN'S CARD GAME where the stocks become the stake.
>Power system

>MC
A dumb, hotblooded midget loli bancho trying to revive her grandpa's dying smithy business. No spirit power since she's not a direct descendant so she has to rely on actual skill and spicy techs. Decoy mc is her bff, a cool, stoic chad from the real estate family that never loses card battles and actively sabotages other families for his own gains.
>Love interest (MCbowl winner)

>>Love interest
>His betrothed, who he has been promised to since they were both born
>>Red herring
>There is none. I don't mess around with that MC bowl shit
A man of culture, I see.

Humans are born with superpowers but they get weaker as they use them.

Most adults lose their powers in early adolescence or have them artificially removed.

Mc has never used his powers not even once and so is incredibly powerful.

Knowing how dangerous he could be his parents tell him contain his powers at all costs or they will be removed.

Because of his seeming low power level he attends a school for powerless kids (not everyone is born with powers)

Red herring is a girl without powers MC wants to protect but who ultimately wants to manipulate him.

The antagonist is a student who is also hiding his powers but for different reasons, he wants to end the world.

Superpowers are a metaphor for virginity.

The King had a dozen princesses who must fight for the throne
Each princess can bestow power to people when he kisses her, more intimate kissing gives more power
The MC is a commoner who wants to become a knight, he's a super ultra chaste moralfag
The winner is a tsundere princess who doesn't have a knight because she's too much of an awful bitch for anyone to deal with
The loser is the princess's guard lady who is best girl but loses even though the premise makes a threesome ending easy
The antagonist is a poorly characterized black knight who wants to take over three kingdom via PG13 rape analogies

the red herring wasn't born without powers she just used them up completely before she met Mc

>Plot

>Power system

>Plot
>A boy falls in love with a girl.

In our modern day, psychic powers get more prominent, and people with those powers have to fight for... reasons. The source of the power are psychic waves generated by thoughts, that can be focused on a specific point to achieve the effects of telekinesis or telepathy. Every character has a different wavelenght/frequency of psychic waves, they either have short wavelenght/high frequency or long wavelenght/low frequency, and that makes the characters be better at some specific stuff, kinda like all the electromagnetic waves are of the same nature, but some of them are part of the visible spectrum, some of them can be used as radio waves, and UV waves can affect our cells at a molecular level. Forgive me if the science isn't accurate, but the series would be full of bullshit science that sounds like it makes sense.
The MC's backstory is that his mother is missing and his older brother (or sister) killed himself, but he thinks that it doesn't make sense. Everybody thinks he's just deluding himself from his suicide, but when he finds out about psychic powers he realizes that it was actually a murder and sets out to find what happened. His father is a scientist that fell in love with a woman that they were studying, and they eventually ran away when it became obvious that the experiments had a nefarious purpose. The mother either died or decided to disappear to not call attention on her family. Possible villains are a guy that passes his mind to another body to avoid dead and is looking for a strong psychic (although his mind has degenerated after every jump and he's barely human), a girl that has been victim of lots of experiments and has a freaking strong power level, the other villain wants to use her as a body but she ends up escaping, wreaking havoc, and brainwashing people into thinking that they are her parents, and also possibly aliens in a future arc.

>Plot
In a world where people's mental illnesses and past traumas manifest to attack them in their dreams, warriors known as Dream Hoppers enter plagued minds to fight and eliminate those manifestations.
>Power System
Sword fighting with a touch of reality warping. Intensity depends on the imagination of the Dream Hopper and the person whose dream they're in. Most adults would have mild manifestations while kids can have full blown nightmares.
>MC
Lazy neet chosen to become a Dream Hopper because he has no responsiblities and sleeps all day so he has more time to fight manifestations
>Love interest
An experienced and skilled Dream Hopper who's also a neet but she's getting less and less time to fight manifestations because she's making an effort to turn her life around while the MC remains stagnant
>red herring
Some cutie the MC met at a grocery store.
>Antagonist
The manifestation of MC's depression

>Plot
In a world where gods are real but kinda secret, they hold a battle royale every 1000 years to decide who's going to be the top god for the next millenium, which also decides the course that humanity will take during those years. The gods are generic, god of war, knowledge, revenge, etc, and don't fight directly too much, they use human champions and groups as proxies.
>Power system
Every god can grant their champion with a special power, that varies depending on how well they sync with each other and their personalities. Also, since the gods are timeless, they can perceive the possible future worlds, and they see everything in terms of probabilities. They can manipulate probability around things that belong to their domain, like the god of war favoring a side in a combat, up to the point of making miracles, which are things that straight up have zero or next to zero chance of happening.
>MC
A homeless kid that ran away from his house and takes care of other homeless children. He ends up allying with the goddess of Home because, by not having a physical home and creating a home for him and the other children, anywhere he goes becomes home and he can unleash her full power. Goddess of Home looks like a maid and never took part of the battle royale because she never had a chance, but with this kid, she might win and create a world where no one lacks a home.
>Love interest (MCbowl winner)
one of the lolis he takes care of, who grows up with him
>Love interest (red herring)
The Goddess
>Antagonist
the gods and goddesses who would be dicks, gods of war or love for example. God of Science is a rival to turn good, the winner of the previous battle and top god of the previous 1000 years.

>Plot

>MC
A dandere (shy) beta man born with the "Ultimate Salvation", which turns him into a broken alpha when his emotions explode, such as despair, sense of justice and determination. However, he is plainly straight, preferring more women than men.
>MC bowl winner
The final antagonist is the winner.
>Red Herrings
His friends, which are literal jobbers, despite being "alphas". Mainly his gay tsundere beta, who acts cocky like alpha most of the time.
>Antagonists
The antagonists are gay men who use their gifts to get stronger instead and don't care about humanity at all, and the last antagonist is a heavily muscular man who lived over 300 years, thanks to a "Sexy Chi-Kung" he developed to increase his physical prowess and perform "miracles", such as mass hypnosis. After losing to the MC, he declares his love for MC and offers himself to have his children.

Black Clover

>Plot
In the vast plains of not-Mongolia, MC-kun strives to unite the various nomadic tribes under one banner and put an end to all the petty infighting.
>Power System
A pseudo-shamanistic based power system where powers come from performing rituals and imbibing various items with powers from said rituals as well as communing with spirits. There isn't really a power scale though and it's more about how you can utilize various blessings strategically. There isn't any 'punch harder to win' or 'convenient power-up' in this system.
>MC
