No point in adapting this until they get Guin Saga right.
George had nothing to do with seasons 6-8. He openly said that he wanted more seasons so they could properly adapt his books, but the show runners didn't want to stick around or give someone else the reigns because their egos.
George said he doesn't even watch the show anymore.
Their would be alot to cover but a studio like Bones would have to do it seasonally to keep up quality.
Maybe in 30 years when the books are finished or GRRM is dead and has someone ghost write the last book for his estate.

American TV isn't like anime. The original creators don't have any say once they sign a contract because in teh US, the contract actually gives the Television rights to the studio, in this case HBO.

Howl's Moving Castle but /Actually/ loyal to the book. Would also love to see an anime version of the Hobbit because I hate the garbage movie trilogy and would kill to see an adaptation that actually does the book justice
This is a literal Isekai about a guy who rapes some girl in the fantasy world because he doubts it's even real and only a figment of his imagination.
I think a lot of other George RR Martin's non-Ice and Fire stories would make for some great anime. Something like Sandkings or the one where the not-Ewoks are killed.
I've always felt like In Search of Lost Time could make a really good anime. Just give it six seasons of 26 episodes for each book to be adapted.
And while I'm on the subject of Diana Wynn Jones, i think an anime adaptation of Year of the Griffin would work so well. Basically just a fantasy college slice of life with magic and the power of friendship. Perfect for anime

I'd like to see this book animated, it has somewhat similar mood to Blame! - gigantic mega structure-ship, MC is completely lost, but meets companions and travels there. There are constructed creatures that serve different purposes from fixing stuff to killing everything on sight, the mystery about the structure is getting slowly reveled. It's pretty interesting.
Mote in Gods Eye is great but I don't think it would do well in a 24 minute episode format. Lucifer's Hammer would work better even even though I don't think it's as good.

You have no idea what you are talking about.
HBO is purposely making a different story in their TV adaptation because it's a different medium and nobody wanted to make a faithful adaptation in the last seasons similar to the books.
They are basically using a completely different scenario for TV series.

Seconded, I read Howl's Moving Castle recently and frankly I thought the original twists were much cooler. The Ghibli movie was good but Howl's true identity as an estranged uncle from 1980's Wales, our world was super neat.

Jon is described as lean and having a long-face, and Tyrion is pretty much like in the picture. Blonde, big forehead, one black and one green eye, stubby legs.
