somewhat. a lesson important to learn in childhood is that some things can't be undone therefore you must consider important choices to avoid failure.

shit like this is why you read about celebrities that lived in their car for months.

When tomino was young you could pay your way throug college with a part time minimum wage job.

Tomino hates adults

Have you ever read any interviews of the man? Especially the more informal ones?
He's fucking batshit.

didn't he once said that if he hadn't become an anime director he would be a serial killer

He's an irl shitposter

Pretty sure he didn't.

That's not Tomino you idiots. That's Jiro the sushi chef.

based

I didn’t know Tomino could make sushi as well. Based as fuck.

sushi is literally the easiest thing in the world to make. you cut a piece of raw fish and press it against rice

That would be 300 USD

>doesn't add gin
Dropped.

Yes

Even barely even does anything anymore to. He also charges like 3x what his students do then has the gall to say that the only reason the prices are so high is because the ingredients cost so much. Like really. Then he denies his eldest the chance for the spotlight by refusing to retire even though by his own admission he has peaked in his craft and can go no further. Food looks good though would like to try it if it werent so expensive and I so poor. ;_;

That's not Tomino. But he did recently say

>My biggest regret is not being able to crush Hayao Miyazaki
Which is a pretty great quote.

I was gonna say, Tomino sure as hell looks like he really went to shit looks-wise in the last few years.

Also doesn't really sound like something Tomino would say. It's not really against anything he's said, I suppose, but Tomino has usually been a very strong proponent of the idea of adults getting out of kids' ways and to stop fucking up shit for them.

Depends on when the interview you're reading was done. Unfortunately the translator's since made it private, but there used to be an incredible interview translated with him and Anno where he sounded like a mad man. But then you realize it was also from fucking 1993, the peak years of Tomino being fucked in the head. I imagine his interviews nowadays sound a lot more level and less off the walls. Or least off the walls in different ways.

And then the kids get burnouts and kill themselves.

He did in my book

That’ll be 300 USD plus tip.
