MangaDex uses IMGUR to store the manga pages and then somehow extracts them and places them on the page. So is MangaDex in partnership with IMGUR? Or are they just pipelining and stealing bandwidth from imgur by loading javascript into the your browser and pushing your browser to then request the image from IMGUR?

I run an old firefox browser version because of certain addon that hasn't been updated. As a result, it leaks and eventually crashes. But before then, it is fault in retrieving manga images at mangadex. Occasionally, it hangs just on that one tab retrieving an image to be displayed after I press the right arrow to navigate to the next manga page. At that time, the "X" placeholder for the image that failed to load shows it is from imgur.
