Direction isn't great, although admittedly adapting one of these clusterfuck VN from the late 90s was gonna be a challenge. But the YU-NO anime wastes a lot of time.
They've skipped and mixed up some things, but it's okay so far. Not as good as the VN.
Feel saving anime as usual, though as a filthy secondary I cannot talk about how good of an adaptation is.

I've 100%ed the original VN and I don't think the anime is anywhere near bad. The story's engaging, the pacing is all right for a VN adaptation, and I didn't mind the changes they've made so far, although making Kaori evil was a tad weird.
This is a travesty
It lacks a skip/fast foward option, which is a problem with how dialogue heavy the game can be at some points and how you have limited "save states".
It has text skipping, but clicking stuff to progress is annoying yeah.
It is fine. It's not amazing but it makes a decent watch on a Tuesday.

I don't think that's meant to be NTR? That's just a tragic event all around. NTR would involve her enjoying the guards attacking her, but she kills herself as they do it.
I don't think she was actually raped, they're just groping her more or less. Since every CG is ecchi as hell it's hard to tell if that's even supposed to be taken as a sexual assault versus just a forceful apprehension.
