I get that the show is retarded and I'm not supposed to take anything seriously, but holy fuck this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
HILTS ARE NOT EXPENSIVE. If you want to keep sword costs down, you punch them all out of sheet steel with tangs and even integrated guards if you're seriously poor, and then you wrap the fucking hilt with a bit of cordage or leather.
The idea of Shin's sword being sued by troops is beyond absurd. They cost 20 times more to produce, take far more man hours, and even worse, if they're improperly maintained the retarded mechanism of moving parts will make your sword blade fall out on the first hit.

His aptitude for creating new magic is one of the few parts of the series that's actually isekai related, since he uses and applies scientific concepts and theories from his old life in creating his spells, which he'll do a couple of times throughout the series. The anime didn't cover it but he showcases an Invisibility spell, which is pretty much the concept of optic camouflage.
