>BC volume 20 is the only one with sales relevant enough to report >the rest are probably under 50k >while most of Kimetsu's volumes are selling as much or more than BC's only relevant one >anime is only 5 episodes in LMAO CLOVERKEKS DESTROYED AGAIN
Jaxon Lewis
Why are shounenfans so obnoxious? can't you just type like a normal human being?
Cameron Rodriguez
Axe when?
Nathaniel Edwards
That's Jeremy. Don't reply to his posts, he only exists to antagonize other shounen fanbases other than MHA and has a burning hatred for anything BC. BCfags and Kimetsufags have nothing to do with each other.
Josiah Cox
>*34434 **34434 franxx 5
Ah yes, that highly acclaimed Shounen Jump battle action manga
>*83006 **83006 jujutsu 5 Looks like the horikoshi boost didnt work out so well
Owen Allen
I fucked up.
Jaxon Fisher
Nah, it did less for a whole week. That's just 4 days.
Henry Bell
>Chadsaw man Based as fuck
Andrew Ross
meant for
Carson Clark
Pretty sure it sold 25k in a week, this is 4 days. And it's getting a reprint as well.
Levi Baker
>*83006 **83006 jujutsu 5 >this is the new pillar of jump
Anthony Young
>Monthly >April 8 - May 5 >255103 *255103 heroaca 23 >221929 *535789 haikyuu 37 >111655 *228924 black clover 20 >107596 *238713 dragonball super 9 >107568 *214609 kimetsu 15 >100493 *203656 souma 34 >*83006 **83006 jujutsu 5 >*81402 1895859 one piece 92 If any Jump title wasn't in this does it mean it sold less than 81k?
Nathaniel Moore
Pretty sure you're wrong
Elijah Lee
Biggest question from all this, what about Dr stone?
Hunter Ward
Jump editors are seriously underestimating its popularity, they aIso place it at the bottom of the ToC. I wouldn't be surprised if it outsells Dr.Push if it had proper prints and proper ranking.
Andrew Torres
>Jump editors are seriously underestimating its popularity, No its just blind Fire Punch worshippers buying it.
Christian Thomas
Looks like Chainsawman will be axed soon, based!
Benjamin Perry
I don't get it. Why are they still pushing Dr. Stone this hard when it's clearly less popular than almost everything else?
>49856 (4) Dr. Stone 10 >54353 (4) Actage 6 Oh nonono
Jason Butler
I guess it is propaganda stuff cause the artist is Korean. at least they can tell the public (outside manga/anime community) that everyone can be writer/artist in main Jump magazine. and this guy also Korean so can be a good thing to international relations.
Xavier King
This is honestly very embarrassing.
Jackson Walker
Didn't make it
Jackson Parker
Overcoming stone is the literal >my manga can survive now line.
Ryan Reed
>*26382 **26382 chainsaw 2 Yikes. Seems like it'll end up being mid-table series at best. Nowhere near jujutsu's sale despite the early push.
Ethan Kelly
Also - MHA sold 255k in four days, last two volumes sold around 360-380 in seven.
Landon Hernandez
If anything, it encouraged people who doesn't read Jump at all to actually the books and read the weekly issue. Something not shonen-like works its charm.
Julian Garcia
Sold less than 80k. Huge fall from former Volume. What the hell happened?
This is some flat earth tier theory, I find it more likely that they decided to keep it because of the teaching science aspect, or because the writer also did Eyeshield 21. They clearly don't only care about sales, else Zumo wouldn't be around.
Jace King
So, Hori's boost really worked and chadsaw is growing very rapidly
Evan Martin
Not defending MHA but 4 and 7 days make a BIG dfference.
Ayden Fisher
Wait what the fuck? You sure it's not missed or some shit?
Alexander Davis
Oh I am really glad about Jujutsu doing well what is this about a boost?
Christian Martinez
>MHA sold 255k in four days That's three days,
Isaiah Wilson
>*19803 **19803 DB broly Wait, what?
Ryan Walker
Horikoshi recommended it and they also did exchanged art for omake.
Jacob Sullivan
The HeroAca fag? Then I hope Jujutsu gets axed now
Jaxon Bell
>MHA 23 lower than 16 O MY 7 QUIRKS
Aiden Parker
how does golden week affect sales? Do kids buy more because they have free time or are shops even open?
Isaiah Adams
Are you guys sure that Bokuben and Dr.Stone aren't just missing because the dude forgot about them or something? It will be REALLY FUCKING EMBARRASSING if this is the final results.
>130k sales drop in less than 3 volumes >anime delayed to prioritize Mob Psycho 100 >Horikoshi said he's going to end it in 30 vol >releases only 13 pages of filler every other week >7 quirks asspull >now makes it clear to all the fans that he doesn't give a shit anymore
Dude tried to shit up chainsawman thread earlier on.
Adrian Garcia
I'm a herofag tho. It just makes sense that there's a slowdown in sales, it's not just the four days, it's also the delay of the anime, and the fact that last arc was shit.
Jace Cook
>and the fact that last arc was shit. almost all arcs since kamino have been especially yakuza which sold well
Juan Russell
So this mean those falseflaggers need to go back. I never understood why provoke a non-existent rivalfaggotry when the two authors get along and are friends.
Wyatt Long
Movie boost
Daniel Lewis
And? The authors being "friends" Doesn't change the fact that they're competing in the magazine. Do you know how Jump works?
Bentley Hernandez
Why does it matter if the authors get along or not?
Elijah Gonzalez
He tried to shit up everything including MHA.
Parker Diaz
The Yakuza arc was before the movie
Jaxon Barnes
Ever since All Might retired, the series lost one big pillar that made it what it was. At first I didn't mind it that much but since Gentle, it's been rather lackluster.
Chase Carter
Are you justifying falseflaggers behavior?
Elijah Evans
see
Austin White
So? This isn't Yea Forums. What are you talking about?
You're right, it's more than Yea Forums since a series getting axed is the end. Whereas football team can always come back better in the next season.
Jacob Jackson
Nope, we need to see what the sales will be during the fourth season, and how the sales will be for the next good arc (maybe this one).
Michael Campbell
I guess the main difference is the author rivalry is leaning towards friendly rivalry side while fandom rivalry is war to shit on other series and show that their serie(actually them) is superior.
Mason Anderson
You can't compare the joint training arc to the yakuza arc.
Ayden Bennett
There is no falseflagging Everyone reading shonen (MHAFags, BCfags, EVEN HxHfags) is a little manchild and will love these sort of console wars
You have to be a manchild to read shonen in the first place so these posts are all legit.
Robert Hall
Do you think you're on reddit? There should be enmity between series publishing in a highly competitive magazine. That's why everyone ITT his laughing at Herocucks and their dying series.
And a series getting axed is worth celebrating because?
Xavier Cooper
I can Way too long Tons of new side character focus nobody cares about Ends with Deku asspull
Ayden Murphy
>its another "I have all the info but will leak it every 6-8 hours because it's ebin" episode
Levi Fisher
>Do you think you're on reddit I'm thinking I'm on Yea Forums than anything else
Joshua Allen
It opens a spot for a worthwhile series to come in.
Parker Johnson
the can come back with new serie. hori got axe like 2 times before mha.
Caleb Perry
its hilarious seeing a small dedicated fanbase build up only to be met with an axe
Chase Bell
Nah, people like peacefully reading their series and stay in their threads. Its consolewar kiddies from Yea Forums that don't read either series and avatarfag as each depending on the situation.
Chase Howard
>consolewar kiddies That is the only kind of group who would ever read shonen in the first place.
William Cruz
>act-age is surviving in WSJ
japs have such shit taste WTF!
Grayson Lopez
What their relationship is doesn't matter, there is no excuse to justify shitposters acting like retards.
The only manchildren are the ones who don't realize it's all entertainment to kill time.
Henry Richardson
So what's up with Bokuben? Vol 10 sold 93k at the least, I can't imagine Vol 11 sold less than 81k total in that April-May timeframe
Logan Nguyen
Funny how I literally just said they don't actually read them but your retarded brain filtered that part out.
Jose Sanchez
>the only kind of people >when there are other kind of people that do this
Tokyo Ghoul and which other seinen have silly console wars?
Landon Reed
I'll just let you know right now that the people who participate in the shitlfinging are not the audience of shounen. I don't expect you to understand, because you don't read shounen and have no reason to browse the threads, but shitflinging like this happens every so often in every shounen thread. And it's not the actual readers who are spouting it, it's just some dedicated shitposters. Granted every series has their own unique shitposters, but usually they'll stay in their respective threads
>the people who participate in the shitlfinging are not the audience of shounen. >this happens every so often in every shounen thread Uh huh. So it happens in every shonen but it is unrelated to the people it attracts?
Elijah Jackson
>Amounts of shitposting on Yea Forums being indicators of anything Most readers of the series with a cancerous fanbase probably don't even go to the threads, or at least I know that's the case with me and the MHA general. And we are only talking about Yea Forums, the actual majority of readers probably don't even care about discussing it online.
Robert Long
It's not the manga themselves that attract the posters. It's an interesting relationship to say the least
Ryan Parker
TG, Attack on Titan, Made in Abyss, One Punch Man, Mob etc.
>It's not the manga themselves that attract the posters. What is it then?
Jaxson Ortiz
Yeah, people forgot that they had 3rd week this time. This is the final results: >12599 *104444 Bokuben >*8893 **82786 Dr. Stone
Jack Morales
I don't really know. The (you)'s? Shounen threads generally move pretty fast so they're prime-time bait locations. I don't really get the appeal of shitposting or trying to start petty flame wars so I can't exactly give you an answer. The point is, these posters don't actually read the manga. It's evident in the few threads I do frequent
I should've clarified and said this group of shitposters are the same people across multiple different series' threads
Joseph Davis
Can someone sell me act age, I tried to get into it but ended up dropping it in the middle of the Zombie Island auditions or whatever.
Jose Rodriguez
That for Vol 10 or Vol 11?
Ethan Lee
>I don't really know. But you are sure its not the audience? If you don't know why they do and who they are how can you be so sure they are not some offshoot of the audience? It seems more likely that they are than that they are not to me.
Landon Roberts
Because it's different and stands out from the crowd. These are the type of series that has long lasting appeal. Something like Jujutsu has a ceiling in its selling powers cause it is generic and doesn't stand out.
Zachary Campbell
it sells a lot online.
Sebastian Hall
>But you are sure its not the audience? Its pretty obvious since they barely have an understanding of the series when they begin their shitflinging.
James Lewis
Berserk, edgy series, moe series.
Xavier Wood
Latest Bokuben(11) and Dr.Stone(10). They had 3rd week results but apparently there's no monthly results.
Christopher Garcia
If they were the audience then they'd be able to at least explain or converse about the manga they shitpost with or the manga they are shitposting against. Not only that, but the shitposts are very formulaic. They have template posts where some will just change a few words and their image. If it were shitposters from within the community, I'd at least hope they were a little more well prepared and understanding of Shonen as a genre
They are Yea Forums crossboarders that get high with TOC threads just like they do with console war shitposting. That's why I advocate for insta-ban for this kind of behavior as it's detrimental to Yea Forums as a whole, we don't need that filth here.
Then they are just vapid normalfags that don't belong here in general. They attach themselves to something popular, they skim over the material to get a general idea then proceed to create shitflings because that the only way their underage asses get entertainment.
Nicholas Gonzalez
>edgy boy on cover >38k >ikemen on cover >82k >two boys holding hands on cover >54k in 4 days
It's hard to describe without having seen them in action outside one of these threads, user
Charles Price
I just want not-Taichi to win the not-Chihayabowl after so much bullying.
Sebastian Thomas
Updated charts?
Dylan Evans
Yeah, the sales are purely based on covers, alright.
James Peterson
>don't belong here in general. General threads and shonen in general don't >they skim over the material to get a general idea then proceed to create shitflings How do you know that? Its far more likely they are just stupid and their frustration with not keeping up makes them shitposters rather that shitposting is their goal from the start.
Jason Morales
Is there STILL no ToC? The usual fag HAS the magazine and he posted those boring Samurai 8 color pages but apparently the fucking ToC is not important enough.
Samuel Hughes
I'm sorry dude, but you have absolutely no idea
Chase Gomez
The 2nd half is better. High level acting and how they're all autists.
Tyler Clark
he didnt even post the full color page he did that cocktease shit where he takes the picture at a retarded angle and cuts out the important bits
Asher Perez
Any shounen threads with a lot of shitposting usually has a lot of pasta. You will often find template OPs made for baiting and console wars. The threads have a lot of traffic and it's easy to farm (You)s, you don't need the series, just copy any post that generated replies and post it later.
Gabriel Thomas
>How do you know that? Not only have they admitted this and everything I'm telling you but unless you make a mental disorder it pretty obvious they don't know and or ignore things about the series. >their frustration with not keeping up makes them shitposters rather that shitposting is their goal from the start. Because this kind of shit happens to series that gain popularity. >General threads And who do you think makes those general threads? >shonen in general This was never the case.
I'm expecting either jujutsu or act-age anime announcement in June-July.
Ryder Moore
Isn't it too early? How many chapters do they have?
Henry Davis
Dr. Stone? More like Dr. Stronk
Liam Ramirez
>Isn't it too early? Well, maybe a little bit. When I think about it, Bokuben was announced in August, so August-September is probably a more realistic target.
Brandon Bell
If you look really closely you’ll realize that the persistent shitflingers are mostly limited to WSJ battle manga and whichever shonen had an extremely popular anime airing that season. Fans of monthly shonen series, weekly non-WSJ titles, and stuff like sports and gag manga almost never participate in this behavior.
Colton Anderson
>stonefags trying to pretend they're relevant again
Noah Martinez
More like Dr.Stink
Nolan Gray
Act-Age has 2 major-act and 1 mini-act which enough for 2 cour
Henry Jenkins
Act-age is pretty much perfectly paced for anime with first jobs/Death Island for S1 and Galactic Railroad for S2/second cour of S1. Jujutsu is more complicated. Do they want to rush the initial chapters in order to get to the better stuff or not?
Chase Sanders
This show you one more time that the success for more sales are heavily affected by the studio who makes the anime so > Kimetsu sold +/- 130000 >Bokuben sold less than 11424 >both totals
Does this mean the Bokuben anime adaptation is utter bullshit?
Jayden Barnes
it means BC and Bokuben are shitty irrelevant series that should have been axed
Benjamin Wright
It has less to do with studios than the series themselves being bland schlock. Neverland had a mediocre studio and still got a big manga boost.
Wyatt Diaz
I can't fully agree with you. I am a Kimetsu fan and I know it's limitations, and Neverland didn't require much of animation work, the Neverland story is a thriller so it relies more on voice acting and other elements, and Bokuben as a WSJ romcom requires one thing: urge you to fap on any of the girls. So I think the anime has failed and this has reflected on the sales
Jackson Russell
What did the Bokuben anime do wrong that the manga didn't do already? The girls are cute in the anime too, doesn't prevent it from being boring. You can't blame the anime for limitations the manga already had.
Asher Richardson
Tabachad is friends with everyone just like chadsta.
Owen Williams
I don't even know why it got an adaption in the first place. If their source is soulless why even bothering in adapting it.
Michael Green
>needing to compared yearly sales to a series that publishes 10 chapters per year mhafags are pathetic.
Mason Campbell
kimetsuchads
Kayden Moore
No wonder wsj is pushing the living fuck out of samurai8, kishi is their only hope for another consistent 1 mil per seller outside of OP since Hxh only gives 1 vol a year
Daniel Cruz
It means you're a faggot.
Hudson Brooks
I didn't expect Kimetsu to get 15k boosts this early. I thought it's a Golden Week boost or something, but it's doing even better this week on shosekiranking. Is this the power of Zenitsufags
Joseph Watson
>I don't even know why it got an adaption in the first place It's the new jump way. Everything is getting an adaptation now. Both Jujutsu and Act-age are already in development. >This interview with Nakano took place while Neverland was airing but Nakano mentions that there are several series with anime adaptations that have been decided but they cannot announce them right now. At the bottom they list the "New 3 big anime".
imagine the boost by the end of the season bros...
Isaac Edwards
>planned for 10 volumes dead on arrival
Benjamin Murphy
I think they are doing the wrong thing by adapting every single series in the magazine. Just see bokuben, total failure. They just need to adapt series that are selling nice and ranks well.
The power of pig assault
Aaron Hill
>Naruto was also planned for 15 volumes, so it'll extend anyway (raughs) Read, nigger.
Brody Martinez
nardo was planned for 15 volumes.
No manga ever expects to be able to go for decade +
Noah Foster
Looking at numbers KnY can probably surpass pre-anime MHA not sure about pre-anime TpN tho.
Lincoln Cruz
pre-anime MHA is higher than pre-anime TPN, so either you're rerarded or pretending to be retarded
Brody Reed
Yikes, so you want it to last 70 volumes
Asher Thomas
But how is he gonna save all the planets, find the 7 keys and One Piece in under 10 volumes? It sounds like a very long manga
Colton Bailey
kishi said as much that it will probably extend
idc but wsj definitely will want it to last that long cause that would mean it sells like gangbusters
Nathan Jenkins
Stop making assumptions nigger. With everything Kishi said he wants to incorporate in this manga, it is literally impossible to tell the whole story in only 10 volumes without it having 0 impact or feeling extremely rushed. It doesn't need to be a gay 700 volume saga, but it definitely wont be only 10 either.
Eli Thomas
pre anime MHA - 300k pre anime TPN - 400k
Benjamin Reyes
I do too but any reason why?
Leo Harris
Pre-anime MHA is 500k while pre-anime TpN is 550k. pre-anime anime TpN and MHA do that number in a month while KnY and BC need 2 years to pass 300k.
Jayden Rogers
>post anime TPN is 300k on ANN >pre anime MHA is 275k on Oricon >somehow pre anime TPN is higher than pre anime MHA when it barely compares to post anime MHA ok kid
It's more of how much volume 1 sells before the anime. MHA vol 1 already sells 500k before the anime start while TpN volume is on 550k, tho TpN have bigger promotion and time than MHA so I say thier equal.
