Well lads, I think it's obvious where all the budget was spent. They had to pay off the key animator for all this good work and are now living off of rice and water. The rest of the key animation frames drawn by ONE, since he was willing to work for free.I'm sad to see the action ruined but they had the decency to invest the budget into what truly carries the show.
Let pray that somehow we'll have at least 3-4 more fights of TTM vs. Garou quality this season.

Half the monsters don't look nearly enough like their depiction in the manga.
Most of the tournament fighters look slightly off model.
So many characters look off model. Garou especially. He is basically the 2nd protag and the character your suppose to sympathize.

They're part of "the organisation", the group that the robot from season 2 episode 1 belongs to. The only thing we know about them is that they are all robots.

Those two are part of the organization. They developed the suits the paradisers used and the mercenaries Amai mask killed. Only one member joins the MA and that was G5. On JC they moslty get anime seemingly because they are easier to shove projects on.

We also know that they tried to establish contact with the monster association.

I really hate how JC Staff is ghosting the heck out of rapid situation in OPM. I couldn't see ANYTHING at all during Bang/Silver Fang's rapid punches scene. That was the worst case of it.

My biggest complaint for the episode is this... A lot happened but it felt like they wanted to get to one scene to the next. Felt like a lifeless adaptation for this episode. May have animated most of the manga, but it lacked soul.

I kind of agree but on the other hand there is no other way to show a fight at that speed. For a hit to feel like it has power behind it it needs anticipation/windup and impact/reaction but if you add those the fight becomes much slower.

Removing the manhole ricochet scene was unnecessary, takes out hype from the fight itself because it makes metal bat look weaker and makes Garou's dominance through the fight feel more artificial (hell, it was really cool to see how even after getting hit by the manhole out of nowhere he catched it and held it hard enough to engrave his fingers on it) and the "metal bat is so dumb he couldn't have come up with that" excuse just doesn't cut it, even fucking apes can use different kinds of tools. He's a delinquent type, it's perfectly logical for him to have some street smarts even if he's all around quite stupid (see even characters like Onizuka or Oga had their moments). I mean, it makes a lot of sense. We didn't get a flashback (OPM rarely does them anyway) so there's nothing supporting what Genos said. Episode 4/5 dropped off a lot in people's minds. I don't think so, as I think the quality has been consistently mediocre. But it made sense because one of the art directors for OPM got fired after he admitted during a boardroom meeting that he didn't like Mob Psycho 100 and was fired by ONE. Now we have the manhole scene missing because he didn't like Murata adding that scene in the manga, and thus it was taken out of the anime.

When people talk OPM, the immediate thought is Murata. ONE doesn't like that, so he chose a bad studio to animate this manga. Meanwhile, a manga that he is the sole writer/artist for, was given to Bones, a competent studio to animate. So now when people compare both properties, MP100 is thought to be the better of the 2 and only ONE is attached to that project. Meanwhile, OPM and Murata is seen as the lesser of the 2.

This series only gets better with each monstergirl they add.

Because JC is phoning it in super hard and made an incredibly generic opening. First season's opening was basically an original story showing the power and loneliness of Saitama bookended with a shot of everyone else. Season 2 is just 1-2 seconds of everyone who is going to show up this season and barely any action sequences, and the ones they put in aren't good or interesting because of their brevity and that stupid seizure filter.

If they're rushing in time due to production issues, why didnt' they just simply copy pasta'd the manga panels for the important scenes and shaded them similar to the colourized manga panels? They could've just literally copy pasta'd the manga panels, colourized them for cut scenes along with the SFX overlayed, and it would've still been better than the fucking ghosting light-saber waggling scenes.

Why the fuck would they use a different shading technique when they aren't even fully committed to using 3DCGI for the scenes? The shading looks way off for most of the characters except Garou and Saitama.

8 to 10 hours in a great page is barely nothing. Lesser artists would take a week. Murata is a genius.

It's nice to see someone appreciate the first opening for what it's actually going for.
