How do we save Bokuben from being Jump's biggest embarrassment of the year?
Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai
It's over
Haremshit will flop even if you don't like it.
Why is it doing so awful? Its fun!
Holy shit, was this worse than Yuuna?
by shaft
Hey, there are still seven more months to go.
You don't, watch something good like HxH instead.
Not enough Asumi
Glasses autist best girl.
Remove Fumino
You can't. Not even sensei could save it.
Giving it an anime was a mistake
The best performing show of the season (Nande Koko) is "hetshit" though.
Yuuna didn't do bad it was ok
I thought the manga sales weren't boosted much if at all?
Also, does this mean Bokuben will do even worse tha Yuuna?
How are you too stupid to take a screenshot?
>pornshit
>not selling
Every basement dweller like you buy this shit yo
What the fuck were they thinking adapting this? It's literally Nisekoi with none of the charm.
>Hetahitters depends on fanservice to sell their anime
Truly pathetic miserable fan base truecuck
Kill yourself /u/nigger
I didn't got that big of a boost but the last time that i saw a thread with the sales it was selling like 5k, uncensored h probably helps
>Nisekoi
>charm
Pick 1.
Forget charm, this shit is just much more boring than Nisekoi.
degenerate c/u/ckcold found lol.
I ended up dropping it months ago and there has been zero progress. Just a bunch of one-off with harem characters that have 0 chance of winning.
Is there any VA event?
No, but the idol groups formed an idol group called Study and they had a release event for the OP/ED single.
So if the anime flops hard and the manga sales fail to be boosted, how likely is it that Bokuben fails to make it to the end of the year?
The manga's been doing individual arcs now, but even that gets repetitive and amounts to no romantic progression.
What do you call Asumi's arc then?
>one-off
I wish it was just one-off's. Three fucking chapters wasted on sensei's ice skating career.
>wasted
It was pretty much the only good part of the manga for almost a year.
At least sensei's only have 3 chapters, now we're wasting weeks for senpai's arc.
They're pointless in the overall story though.
By that point, they had run her into the ground so much, I just couldn't bring myself to care about it. Like they're gonna write Poochie out of the series.
Do people seriously think that Uruka is gonna go away to Australia, never to return?
Unlike Nisekoi, romance and love is secondary in Bokuben.
Secondary to what, antics?
Why do people keep comparing this to Nisekoi again? They're not exactly the same: in Nisekoi, they were all childhood friends, while here only Uruka was (and even then it was rather borderline). Plus Nisekoi had an early frontrunner in Chitoge (who was pretty much the designated winner from the start, in retrospect), while here it's still anyone's ballgame (but if there will be a winner, my money will be on either Fumino or maybe Mafuyu).
we can only hope
why is it doing so bad? overshadowed by quints?
Yea Forums is going to win, it's been obvious for months now. Nisekoi ended up neck to neck in the end.
I'm gonna guess because they're both romcoms with glacial pacing. It's hardly unique to them, but hey.
anime original Mafuyu end is the only thing that can save it
Studying, obviously. Or motivation to pursue education to be a bit more precise.
Probably.
1. Seiyuu that to be honest aren't exactly big names (except maybe Tomita and Lynn)
2. No-name studios
3. Apparently lack of hype and promotions
4. The manga hasn't been super popular to begin with, sales have been stagnating
5. 5toubun overshadowing it
>Yurishitters depends on fanservice to sell their anime
FTFY
>romance is secondary in a romcom series
No wonder it's flopping
It's just shit.
And the PVs are terrible too. Honestly, they didn't do a good job with first impression at all.
Yeah, I remember when they first came out, they sort of implied that this was a low-budget affair. The animation has actually been good so far, but first impressions last.
Yuuna focuses a lot more on the ecchi hijinks and fight scenes and it did better, though.
I don't mind desu.
What overall story?
I see, but I don't see how she's run into the ground more than the other girls. At least her arc was only 3 chapters long, it featured other girls like Miharu and Uruka, and was decently written compared to the atrocious Fumino arc. On the other hand, Fumino's arc wasted 5 chapters with Fumino monopolizing the screentime and having retarded writing even for this manga's standards, and this Asumi arc is about to do the same except worse since now it's about a girl hardly anybody cares about.
I'll calling bullshit. I'd buy it if it was more like Dagashi Kashi, Tejina Senpai, or, Hell, Gal Cleaning, where they at least talk about the subject, but after the first few chapters, studying's just been a convenient way for the characters to be together. Lately, they've even dropped the pretense and just have whole chapters being about sensei being helpless or something with the part-time girl.
I love Rizu
>a girl hardly anybody cares about
What about the tripfag and .5fag?
I didn't say nobody.
>Sensei
>introduced late
>most popular character
>Asumi
>introduced late
>least popular character
What did Tsutsui mean by this?
>I don't see how she's run into the ground more than the other girls
She's a clear case of a character who got popular so the author started giving her a bunch of chapters. Hell, she got so much focus, her fucking sister became a recurring character. And her chapters they're almost always about her being incompetent or getting into zany situations, which I would say detracts from her appeal; gap moe doesn't work if she's almost always retarded.
She went from "foil who projects her own mistakes onto students" to "girl who can't go five minutes without getting stuck in a magical girl costume or getting a baby".
I wish. Maybe bokuben will stop flopping if she did.
Counterpoint: Nariyuki's arc about letting the VIP reccomendation go to pursue his interest and Uruka deciding to study abroad. Even Fumino's and Senpai's arcs are about them solidifying their motivation to study in a field they have failed before. Heck, even the sensei arc was about her confronting her failures as an educator and choices she made in the past.
>Bokuben from being Jump's biggest embarrassment of the year
Let's just wait Dr stone
But then again, it's not like the other girls' chapters are any more engaging or interesting.
The manga sales didn't just fail to be boosted, they're outright declining. Bokuben is headed for the ax soon, the only question is if it goes out like Shokugeki no Souma or not.
Nariyuki's arc was even worse than the other's arcs.
What will likely go bye bye first: Bokuben or Yuuna?
how is it doing compared to Kimetsu?
incest out of nowhere could probably save this shit

I wonder if the Bokuben anime will be the biggest surprise flop in Jump history. At least with stuff like Hinomaru Zumou, people didn't expect it to do well. But with Bokuben, people seemed to think it had a chance.
Proof
I don't read the manga and i'm really curious about it
Probably Bokuben. You could easily rush Bokuben into an ending because graduation is so close. It won't get past 2020.
I'll give you that, but it mostly just feels like the mangaka knows the ax is coming and wants to wrap up everything.
oricon.co.jp
oricon.co.jp
oricon.co.jp
Not a single Bokuben volume.
>people seemed to think it had a chance.
Who the fuck thought it had a chance
Just remove the harem MC and other males, problem solved.
Bokubenfags
It's the Hillary Clinton of romcoms. People assumed it'd succeed because it's the Nisekoi successor and had the Jump name.
>Shokugeki no Soma that high
What?
I thought it was flooping so fucking hard
Dropped it ages ago
People who never learn.
I never said this manga about studying/education was exceptionally good regarding its chosen niche subject. But romance was always secondary from the get go.
People aren't fond of another "nothing ever happens" WSJ romcom after Nisekoi overstayed its welcome. There's no saving Bokuben. Also, when a sensei character is the most popular and is dragging the corpse of the series on her back, you know the series is awful.
>streaming
What if the Bokuben anime came first and then Quints only aired this season? Would Bokuben have been better received?
No, because 5toubun still have the quintuplets appeal while Bokuben has nothing.
If anything it would have been a free win for Kaguya
Quints have the VA factor carrying the show which was btw absolute garbage compared to the manga
The author already put an expiry date for this manga thanks to its subject. If Fumino and Rizu are accepted into their chosen colleges, this manga ends. This would have also meant Nariyuki getting the VIP reccomendation, but since he turned that down, the goalpost has been shifted to Nariyuki getting into teaching. Getting a girl is secondary to all that.
I really don't understand why Bokuben is flopping this hard. At the rate things are going, the anime might not even sell 1,000 BDs.
God I love Rizu.
>cliche: the animation is flopping
I am shock
Adapt something worse with even less budget?
Please elaborate all the cliches in Bokuben. I dare you.
Please watch more anime first.
>I really don't understand why Bokuben is flopping this hard
What's so hard to understand?
It's a fucking generic harem. People are getting tired of this shit.
What did you fucking expect? The source material is fucking garbage and every episode so far has had some of the most egregious expository dialogue i've ever fucking witnessed. Haremshit was already ass but now we're in a world in which the quints exist, with their passable characters and story, all these by-the-book, unoriginal, cashgrab, abominations are going to bite the dust and their hack author's deserve it too.
Didn't stop Quints or Kaguya
Kaguya isn't a harem, and 5toubun has the whole quint thing to make it stand out from other harems.
Kaguya is not a harem and Quints is not "nothing happens" the manga
Then why did even Yuuna do better than this?
Also, there's DomeKano. I know it hasn't been released on disc yet, but last I heard the manga's selling pretty well.
Because they're much more raunchy than Bokuben. Bokuben has nothing to make it stand out.
>Bokuben has nothing to make it stand out.
The characters?
What's so unique about them?
5toubun killed this shit and almost kill Kaguya as well
Sensei and?
Would the manga be selling better if it had pantyshots?
Foom? Senpai?
Fumino is a mess of a character, and Senpai is basically a nocharacter.
>Bokuben has nothing to make it stand out
This. A show needs to have something to stand out for it to even sells decently.
What about shows that stood out for the all wrong reasons and ended up tanking?
There's nothing unique about Bokuben's cliche-ridden characters.
Shit, even Nisekoi characters stand out more.
Theres absolutely nothing interesting about
>generic tomboy who doesn't know how to be girly but likes a guy
>generic autistic moeblob
>generic "prettiest girl in school" who has a complex about her flat chest
>generic christmas cake teacher who can't find/is too busy to find a man
What about Senpai?
>Why do people keep comparing this to Nisekoi again?
Because Tsutsui previously did the Magical Patisserie Kosaki-chan spin-off and because it's another harem series in Jump that started a few months after Nisekoi ended
>Bokuben anime will be the biggest surprise flop in Jump history
Doubtful
Its pretty mediocre
I love it. Gotoubun straight up fucked the entire harem genre. Maybe now the nips will be forced to write better shit.
The only non-dogshit character but since it's not got her as the focus it's a waste.
She's literally the worst character though.
>The only non-dogshit character
Yeah, because she's not a character at all, which is even worse.
How many more months do you guys give the manga?
BokuBen manga and anime need more imouto action!
A few months after the anime ends, so maybe around winter before Jump axes it and tries another romcom.
Nisekoi has no charm.
Probably 10-14, it'll survive this year at least.
Kaguya is not a harem you retard.
Will Kamio replace this, or is that doomed too?
Depends if Jump wants to push it or not
I doubt it'll survive anyway.
Bokuben is literally battle harem-tier bad, except there's no flashy uniforms, cool settings or powerlevels/weapons to have at least something interesting to talk about. It's the very definition of bland and soulless.
clearly it's because sensei is introduced late and the Japanese don't want to order bokuben before they knew what sensei is like the adaptation
It can't be!
>early parts of Bokuben nearly got the manga axed
>anime decides to adapt early chapters in a painstakingly detailed way
Bokuben would be good if it was Fumino, Rizu and the little sister. The rest are fluff.
Because it is repetitive and just for shit and giggles. It is fun and all but that's all. Not really memorable or what.
Nah, most Fumino chapters are garbage without the intervention of the other girls. This is another case of side girls being more interesting or likable than the main girl.
In fact, now people accept the meme that he used to be Komi's assistant as fact.
I kinda feel bad for the guy. He is an established mangaka long before Bokuben and has many years working in the industry as Komi, but now he will forever be remembered as that assistant who made a Nisekoi-lite manga.
No, it wouldn't.
>and the little sister
Fuck no
I am surprised by how much I like Fumino.
There are many factors, both external and from the manga itself
1. It airs after the two insanely popular romcom Kaguya and GoToubun. There's no way it can be compared favorably to them.
2. It was done by a no name studio, with almost all little known VAs.
3. Horrible marketing. The PVs gave the vibe of a low-budget, low-quality anime, even the anime itself is well animated.
4. Bokuben is good for what it is: a comfy lighthearted episodic romcom, but the genric premise is a hard sell to animefags with their stupid 3 episodes rule. People also associate it with Nisekoi, but it doesn't have the gimmicks and all the drama shits that made Nisekoi popular. It doesn't even have the lewd or moe factor.
In short, there are so many things that go against Bokuben at the same time. It was doomed from the start.
I like the fact it doesn't have the drama of Nisekoi, but you are right. Kaguya and GoToubun put the nail in the coffin.
>even the anime itself is well animated
It isn't.
I also enjoy the manga for what it is. It's ironic that what people hate about Nisekoi is what made it popular in the first place.
Better than GoToubun, that's for sure.
Doesn't make it good.
Let's all be honest, people didn't hate Nisekoi. Nisekoi was just good.
It's not KyoAni but it's competently animated.
The drama started to get a bit monotonous for me, but it was still enjoyable
But Moeyuki >>>>>>> Raku
Yeah sure, people didn't hate doormat Onodera, gorilla Chitoge, "I can't hear you" Raku, and the constant back-and-forth locker and key drama that meant nothing in the end.
Nisekoi would have been remembered more fondly if it had ended 100 chapter sooner.
The dumb key/locket plot really drag the series down, but other than that Nisekoi is still a funny romcom at times.
>Master Furuhashi and Sensei is the reason bokuben doing well
>adapt early uruka instead
also the ending with raku and onodera's kids meeting, kinda defeated the purpose of them trying to stay together as friends.
>>Master Furuhashi
Literally has nothing to do with it.
lead heroines are kind of shitty (Rizu becomes GOAT later on but it's way too far in)
too many early chapters wasted on Uruka
Asumi was added too late to feel like a real heroine on par with the mains
Mafuyu is great but being a teacher is like an auto lose flag unless Tsutsui decides to be a madman
Nariyuki being moe gets stale and Fuutarou is more entertaining despite being in a shittier series with worse girls other than Miku and I guess Yotsuba
it's fun and comfy but there's no real sense of tension or drama so it's kind of just there
>despite being in a shittier series with worse girls other than Miku and I guess Yotsuba
So wrong. Ichika alone is better than every Bokuben girl put together.
But pre-rewritten fumino was good
She was boring before the rewriting and became a mess of a character after it.
Rizu is boring
Your attempts at necrobumping dead threads are even more boring.
Rubbish
>/u/fags get like one anime per year
You. Don't. Have. Fucking. Proof.
No numbers. You have none of them. All you have is that it was out of the Oricon chart.
cope
No you cope, faggot. Show me the fucking numbers.
Nigger, their numbers are worst than Dr stone
>given Oricon reports that are regularly used to measure relative growth in sales
>"fake news!"
cope
It aired at a bad time. We just had 5toubun in the previous season.
5 > 3
since when did sales became so important for the enjoyment of an anime? if you aren't actually buying BDs then all this conversation is meaningless as it gets, sales don't determine how good a series is (Idolshit sells like hotcakes)
and if we're talking about WSJ flops I doubt anything will top Medaka Box or Buso Renkin, or even Robot x Laserbeam if you want something more recent, they had a lot more hype behind them, which tells me this thread is filled with people who don't read enough manga or watch enough anime
Give me the actual numbers. Then you keep your sperging otherwise you have zero cred.
Since Yea Forums realized that they have easy access to a list of numbers and rankings they can use to force console wars on Yea Forums and shitpost about everything. They don't actually care how well something does (especially because of how irrelevant BD sales are), all they want is to shitpost.
Do your part in making Yea Forums better and report every single salespost you come across.
The last volume released only ranked for a week. For the past few weeks literally no Bokuben volumes have ranked on Oricon despite the anime airing, and anyone with a brain can realize how terrible that is. If you read the thread you'd already have seen links to the Oricon rankings.
Except this doesn't show HOW MANY volumes have been sold. Until you show me a current ranking that says the total sellings of Volume 11 after 4 weeks amount to less than 100k you are just typing to stretch your fingers.
>Except this doesn't show HOW MANY volumes have been sold.
No, but it shows a ceiling. It shows that it's doing so bad Oricon doesn't even bother recording it. I don't even know how stupid you have to be to not understand how bad this situation is when there's an anime airing.
>Manga sales
>oricon
Clueless retard please go.
>what are samples and measuring relative sales
i know this is a meme but this is quite literally Nothing Happens: The Series
Still no numbers. Still your interpretations. Let's all hear the totally unbiased opinion of KOfaggot. No thanks, you're full of shit and you're just damage controlling.
for me bokuben started going to shit around the 50ish ch, thats when i lost the hope of not being another nisekoi but the biggest bullshit of the mango was the fumino arc and its oh my laptop, that was just bad
>Go-Toubun
>Popular
>muh sales
>muh social media popularity
Bokuben will always be better than that trash
You are the reason these fags make fun of Bokuben, except for the fact that you are those very faggots, falseflaggibg actually.
Why don't you fuck off to your Hanayome threads then faggot
>muh boogeyman
You're absolutely pathetic. You have, quite literally, no defense for the fact that Bokuben has no numbers because it's bombing so hard it can't even be significant enough to e counted.
they can save the series by removing every girl apart from fumino and rizu, haremshit is a disease
First chapters were meh but I was giving it the benefit of the doubt
Afterwards, endless summer along with generic filler made it tedious to follow
It reached the lowest point around Fumino arc, but was turning around and reached it's current highest point around sensei arc, before going back to the dumps with senpai arc
The reason it's doing so bad saleswise is because the just average anime is adapting the less than stellar early chapters, the current volume is adapting the abortion that was Fumino arc, and the manga is currently going through the most boring arc yet with Senpai.
That's a surefire way of putting the last nail in the coffin though.
Let's round Uruka/Rizu arcs to 10 chapters, with 5 chapters in between, so 20 chapters, then a few more fillerific things before the final arc so around 40-50 chapters left.
>I got sick!
>I got fat!
I hope we get an arc about nariyuki's part time job as sensei's chair
22i and editor introduced new girls because fumino and rizu couldn't support the manga though.
>"foil who projects her own mistakes onto students"
She's still that though. It's pretty evident that she never learned how to be a proper adult because she missed out in her youth and that just makes the chemistry between them that much more interesting.
>a character who got popular so the author started giving her a bunch of chapters.
I'll argue against this. 22i actually seemed to have had her background thought out well in advance of her stepping to center stage. He made sure to build her up to her proper character debut with the small cameos, established the conflict between their characters and set up her connection to papayuki with her giving the same advice as him. Then he went to emphasize on how he makes up for what she lacks in her life and steadily warmed her up to him. Contrast with Fumino whose arc elements stood on flimsy ground and personality changed with her hair color, Rizu who faded into the background for a pretty long stretch, Uruka who goes through the same motions over and over and over again and senpai who just basically fills the smol and tease fanservice - it makes it seem like sensei was the only one who he put serious consideration into and didn't stray far from.
Add lots of Fumino fanservice
Selling more anime than 5shit. They were barely pulling 4700.
>someanithing.com
>10,696 Gotoubun no Hanayome
Va tickets.
8000 for bokuben is better and they didn't get the WSM marketing campaign.
The first week sales are good and most manga fall off after the second week.
>8000 for bokuben
ahahahaha
>8000 for bokuben
Maybe if you're talking about rank.
>8000 for bokuben
Where do those numbers come from?
OP.
Don't worry, Dr. Stone will cover that soon
5toubun never ranked much better. Bokuben is getting Kaguya numbers with memes or shilling.
The manga sucks and the elevens are getting tired of romcoms with no progress.
But there is progress you fuck cunt.
They still buy no progress trash like DomeKano, Kaguya, 5toubun, and Kanokari.
Retard-kun, it's ranked on 9-12k with 1st place being the best. This means it will sell less than 1k.
I'll be here everytime you make this shitty threads to remind anyone you have no numbers except the BD sales which don't mean shit.
I also feel 50 chapters is what we have left and honestly it doesn't feel rushed at all. It's actually fine. Tsutsui has all the time to wrap up with that.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch. The early manga was the worst part.
is drama surpassing sol
>it's just one person
>it's all just fake news
>everything is fine
At this point you're just hoping that sensei is going to make a BD sale difference.
Bold of you to assume we'll actually get to adapt any of the good parts
Press Esc to exit full screen
Yes and it's you. I'd also call you out for being a fucking Ichikafag if not for the fact that you are a falseflagging cunt so you can never know.
Saying that the volumes are selling less than before is fake news for the fact that numbers, proof, showing that volume 11, as of now, has sold less than 100k are nonexistent. Cope.
Is the manga that bad? I've picked it up and I'm enjoying it
Nah, it's good. It's a bit underwhelming when it tries to be serious but the usual light-hearted stuff is fun.
Yeah I think its fun, but the doom and gloom here makes me kind of sad for the series now
>Jump's biggest embarrassment of the year?
that will be Dr. Stone
It's not. There's this hating faggot and his proxies that has been making this thread every week. People reply to these threads because they want a Bokuben thread going but honestly they'd be better let these die and make their own thread.
Will the push finally stop if the anime fails to boost sales?
Dr. Stone got a competent studio at least. It's harder for them to fuck up this badly.
I don't get why that one guy is denying that the manga is not selling well either, despite being shown the Oricon numbers.
Except not a single fucking number has been shown, faggot.
Did you even check the site?
Sensei is still scary
Because you're a retard who doesn't know what he's talking about.
The monthly numbers for April are not out yet and will be released later today/tomorrow. Only then we will know how bad(or good) the new volume actually sold and is there any boost at all.
The mere existence of the anime should have moved the numbers at least, and last month's numbers weren't promising at all.
Is there no toc yet? I want to shitpost on a bigger scale.
The point that nigger is making is that Bokuben doesn't show up in the site to begin with. He's saying the volume sold less than past volumes despite there not being a single data on copies sold. Oh sorry, when I said "the nigger" I meant (You).
>Bokuben doesn't show up in the site to begin with
Which is pretty much a bad thing. It means it's not selling well enough to chart.
It doesn't mean the sales have lowered which is what the KOspic said, which is a blatant lie.
Why did you even bring up KO though? He never mentioned it.
It's really cute and comfy with its bits of fun and sexy. It's incredibly harmless and MC is absolutely endearing.
But you know, it's episodic, and some people loathe such formula to no end.
Only when moeyuki asks her to undress out of nowhere.
I'm not defending Bokuben's studio but it hardly has anything to do with it. Toubun got a Toei-tier adaptation and still got a huge boost. Bokuben just isn't really popular in the first place.
Reminder that after the anime, Toubun tripled its volume sales from 80k to 250k. Thats Nisekoi tier. Bokuben never had a chance. The gag romcom is dead.
>Bokuben just isn't really popular in the first place.
Really? It seems to have a lot of fans here on Yea Forums and the threads are usually very active.
>lot of fans here on Yea Forums
And that matters to the outside world how?
It's not super popular or anything but I wouldn't imagine it getting axed any time soon
So did Oricon stop publishing weekly numbers? ANN usually has a list per week but they also stopped.
What are you talking about? ANN had a BD/DVD sales thread just last week.
>the threads are usually very active
No, they are not, unless shitposting chain. A shistposting free bokuben thread is extremely slow.
Fucking hell mate I'm obviously talking about manga sales
Unless it's a Sensei chapter.
That's right, she's perfect
I think you can only get weekly numbers on paid version.
>It seems to have a lot of fans here on Yea Forums
>implying being popular on Yea Forums ever matters to everyone else
The sensei arc had good momentum but the regular sensei chapter still won't generate lot of activity.
I''ve begun reading the manga but does the sensei have a weird way of speaking or it is a translation thing?
>It seems to have a lot of fans here on Yea Forums and the threads are usually very active.
And jujutsu threads are fucking dead when it's the biggest Jump manga since neverland.
Not really: the top ones you can get for free, it's the lower ranks and the more detailed stuff that require a subscription.
No, it's her autism speaking.
Yes
>when it's the biggest Jump manga since neverland
No it's not
the problem with bokuben is the early chapters are slow and the main two girls are shut
Moeyuki is the best character
if we could remove the plank and noodle autist it'd be a better series
speaking of this image.
Sensei collage user do you have the latest compilation of sensei collage? the last I saved are when you said you'd make one for sensei's arc
Spoilers when?
LOVE
the saddest part is we'll never get to see the scenes of Mafuyu and Nariyuki acting like newlyweds and doing dumb couple stuff animated
Insolence.
Sensei end when
Uruka a best!
In a better world.
18 hours.
Where's the next chapter?
WSJ anime always sells shit
Tell that to BNHA
They probably act even more intimately now after he saved her smile. Fuck I can't wait until the next solo Mafuyu chapter.
>S1: 3,511
>S2: 2,807
>S3: 2,631
Fucking immeasurable dumbass.
Nigga, even Kimetsu threads has more activity than Bokuben even though they air in the same day
Even BnHA barely sell blurays outside the movie. It's a success because it sells volumes and merch, a boost the Bokuben anime failed to give.
So, just Nisekoi?
How the hell do you define popularity?
Note that no one is talking "quality", just the factual statement that Go-toubun sells better, got a bump from the anime and managed to sell decently for what it is. For most people and for the publishers, that is the metric for "popular".
Yes
3,511 is actually a decent number
It's everything that this pile of trash can ever hope to be, lmao, enjoy you shitty soon to be axed manga
It's garbage worse than manga about renting prostitute as girlfriends. Let's that sink in
It's getting a fitting end in 50 chapters. It's not like lasting for 300 chapters is a good thing for a romcom.
>Wahh Wahh it's just one person hating this manga
Most people don't even care to shit on this irrelevant trash
More like herbivores fag mc
So you're enjoying getting raided by retards like
>worse than manga about renting prostitute as girlfriends
No, it isn't.
Then it's just one fag since most don't care am I right? Which would be you. And if it's so irrelevant why does it make you so mad?
>raided
I didn't know this was a general.
Explain how those post relate? I also post Bokuben stuff in 5toubun threads, they're just pixels.
More Blueberry waifu.
Did the author expect Sensei to be so popular?
Didn't toubun hit 2nd or 3rd top selling last winter?
Something to do with waifufaggotry coupled with VA tix
Pretty sure he didn't. No one expected sensei to turn into a proper haremette though.
We should feel blessed by sensei's presence
agreed. Who cares for toubun when bokuben has sensei winning
Are you pretending to be retarded?
I really don't get why people post about sales as if it mattered all these years.
It's not like bokuben has been too popular, it was never going to get Nisekoi numbers despite the latter being worse than the former.
Comfy SoL is bound to be someone's thing, and although not all will it's still bound to be enjoyed by a small number of people i.e Yea Forums
As it stands i don't think the anime will impact the manga too much desu, it's better than having tourists being retards in your manga threads.
I honestly want to have sex with Fumino
But Fumino a shit
For that retard who's in denial of bokuben getting the axed, none of its volume is in this list
>
Sensei will save it. Have faith.
Making babies with sensei is not recommended
Neither is Dr.Stone. Do you think it will get axed too?
Sales don't get boosted doesn't mean the manga will be axed. Just look at Yuuna. And the manga can wrap up in 50 chapters to reach a proper ending.
Does that mean Volume 11 sold less than 80k? In more than 4 weeks? That's 20k less than Volume 10 whatbthe fuck happened?
Axe soon
As I recall she was getting a fair amount of screentime even before the popularity poll.
>Neither is Dr.Stone. Do you think it will get axed too?
I hope so
>bokuben has sensei winning
I wish.
I'm sure most will agree that bokuben will probably end in less than a year.
Don't forget the kino OP and OST, alpha MC being a gary stu and cool fights. I miss battle harems so much, I'd take them any day over current anime. Isekai is alright as its successor but obviously the burnout is slowing creeping up.
>battle harems
>bad
They were kino and much better than mobage adaptations or garbage originals like the ones this season
Nino > all
Fix your shit taste
5toubun is just another harem with the quintuplets gimmick.
>They were kino
the battle harem audience
He didn't expect his first two girls to be so unpopular by comparison
"2nd most popular girl" had an arc
Is laptop-kun hurting bokuben sales?
Appereantly, if the charts are to be believed, and there's no reason not to, yes. I cannot find any other reason why the sales are getting worse. It was because Tsutsui ignored the other heroines completely for a whole month.
I wouldn't mind solo arcs if for the most part, aside from Sensei's, they're just plain awful
But a 20k decrease is just too drastic to make sense of.
Bokuben is probably just losing popularity to better stuff available.
I also don't want to believe that but I cannot find a reason. The anime is better than expected so it cannot be it. It's something that happened in the plot that pissed some people off. That or the data are missing Bokuben altogether.
The last oricon chart that I found show that the sales is about the same as the previous volume
>12599 *104444 Bokuben
>It was because Tsutsui ignored the other heroines completely for a whole month.
And he's doing it again with senpai. He doesn't give a shit
It doesn't have quints.
He will probably give her 5 solo chapters as well. It bugs me when Mafuyu's arc lasted only 3 chapters and featured Miharu and Uruka as well.
For Volume 11? Where's the source?
quality over quantity
it's demonstrably proven that he can just BS some backstory up without caring if he really needs to, I guess he just put a lot more care into writing his favorite girl because she deserves better
I can't wait for Senpai's easily misunderstood statement from Nariyuki and it still being less effective than I want to make you happy
Yes, I saw it in WSJ thread last month
at least toubun has been boosted by the anime, even if it was a QUALITY adaptation
Name your best and worst part of each girls' arc this far.
Fumino
>"Reiji" was the password
>the fucking laptop
Sensei
>her true intention was to redo her youth
>personal skating lesson
Asumi
>"Let's play doctor" fakeout
>loli Asumi
5toubun is not the great thing.
ICHIKEK
hair colors are shit
According to that post which dates to 24 april so 20 days after the release which is 3 weeks, while 4 week data amounts to 90k for the former volumes.
11 days sales
48939 *492017 Haikyuu
26464 *203911 Clover
24302 *212329 Super
23695 *182065 Souma
23489 *183206 Kimetsu
20675 1859999 One Piece

12641 **87287 Boys over flowers
12599 *104444 Bokuben
*9323 *262024 Kimetsu 3
*8893 **82786 Dr. Stone
Doesn't look that grim, albeit little, there was a We'll have to wait for Volume 12 for the final verdict.
*albeit little there was a boost
There's literally no studying done in both series, that can't be the deciding factor
If anything it's the lack of marketing if you want to compare it to toubun because those guys have VA events, online presence and merchs.
Compared to Bokuben yes it is.
He keeps doing solo-girl arcs. I would want to see an arc that heavily involves two to three of the main cast with no Nariyuki, but I guess no one else want that.
>It's something that happened in the plot that pissed some people off.
What do you think it was?
I rarely pay attention to this kind of thing but does sales boost usually happen immediately? I thought it will happen at the end of the anime since people who watch the anime and still interested in the story will buy the manga because they don't want to wait for another season.
False alarm. Turns out the data were missing Bokuben altogether.
>I would want to see an arc that heavily involves two to three of the main cast with no Nariyuki
I certainly don't want that.
For 5toubun it was immediate. I guess it can be that a good chunk of people chose to wait but we'll have to see for that. We'll have the verdict in June/July.
I hate solo arcs altogether. I enjoyed Bokuben the most when it's about fun interaction between the main cast.
I don't understand.
Why not?
Seriously, stop all this drama arcs. I don't read Bokuben for this shit.
I like both to be honest. But in both cases we should already be reaching the top of the plot and yet everything remains the same.
If Miku is not rejected that could change though. And Fumino needs to fucking decide if she wants to participate or not.
Definitive update on the sales.
I don't mind solo arcs, I just didn't find the manga fun to read anymore, even the main cast interactions gets incredibly boring lately
Sales went down, but not by as much as thought as a week's data was missing
People are just doomposting. There was never any need to force drama, people choose to read Bokuben because they like it, they like the comfy slice of life.
It's doing fine, no need for this Yea Forums tier consolewarring. A lot of people read both romcoms anyway
Sensei's glare is a little sexy
Something big needs to happen. Somebody has to make a very fucking good or bad decision. Something that affects all the other characters in some way or another and forces them to think seriously about what they want to do from now on.
One chapter is fine, not an arc.
>went down
They didn't. They're the same.
more fumino, shes the only likeable girl
Yeah, sensei's a woman after all
These solo arcs started when Tsutsui got a new editor. Now that he has another new editor, I hope the new guy will fix this shit.
new guy already started off with senpai arc, when will he get axed
but muh comfy romcom manga
Uzuka won't go to Australia, Nariyuki isn't there
>sales faggot is proven wrong
>changes his shitpost hook
I fucking hate that shitter. Good thing he's a life failure that won't replicate.
>Uzuka won't go to Australia
Why the fuck am I still here then?
>It's another Uzuka chapter
This thread doesn't have enough milk chocolate
I wish, at least it isn't an Izumi one
Furuichi chapter when?
>doing fine
Jump just invested a bunch of money in the anime and got no boost and Aniplex got no disc sales, you don't make an investment to get jack shit you fucking dumbass.
>MC is absolutely endearing
kek
hopefully never
>that faggot that thinks everyone who criticizes his favorite generic harem is one person
Could an autist get more pathetic?
Say that again you little shit
hopefully
never
raza chapter when
>that faggot that feels compelled to post when I say that
Bullseye
Too tame
Should have been more like domestic kanojo where shit happened every episode
When she stops being a pet
When you rehash bland nice guy MC's over and over it gets old eventually. Trends change and now the proudly friendless MC who is intelligent, cold on the outside but actually a nice guy, is handsome but still isn't drowning in pussy and has a wicked sense of humor is the new template.
>generic romcom with predictable winner
How many times have you read this story?
Wow, so I am not the only one who likes BokuBen, DomeKano and Go-Toubun?
How low we have fallen.

Based Rizu chapter where absfag got massively BTFO
Looks like Rizu is rising up on the popularity scale if one were to only base it on the ranks
>Looks like Rizu is rising up on the popularity scale
Are you sure this isn't Sawako magic?
Sawako didn't do much compared to Rizu that chapter.
Sawako only needed to undress and do her usual over the top act.
Why do people think that a Jump anime flopping is something bad (regardless of how good or bad the anime is) when almost every Jump adaptation flops? That is a better question, and the answer is that salesfags are just a bunch of retards.
Uruka's not a damn childhood friend, she's actually envious of Kobayashi for being one.
>the most popular girl is fluff
This is how I know your taste is shit. Kys fgt.
Those aren't bad sales. Like at all. why are people memeing?
Viva la Raza!
>Souma
heh
Because there's no growth, and that's a very bad thing when you've invested a lot of money to see growth.
More Mizuki!!
>jump series
>ever selling well
fucking lol
I want to know where 106 ranks
It doesn’t have enough going for it considering it’s fierce competition. Yuuna beats it in the fanservice department, while 5Toubun beats it in the plot department. It’s not a harem, but Kaguya beats it in the comedy department.
Won’t argue about which has the best girls since that’s just asking for trouble.
Wait until the anime is over and there is a new volume out. Not everything is going to be a forced success 3 weeks in.
if m'lady m'fuyu needed a place to sit, I would humbly offer m'face
>you need to wait meme
Even Masamune had manga boosts soon after the anime aired and early volumes started showing up on Oricon. You don't need to wait to see if there's a boost.
Sensei could probably save it, but they haven't gotten to her chapters yet
I like it because it already has my girl Fumino in it
Eh, I say this is just a Jump Boost to help popularity
An Uruka to save the day
It's happened before though
So the Oricon data should have come out yesterday, any data for Bokuben yet?
Oricon data that came out referred to releases after April 8 and since Bokuben 11 came out on April 4 it is not included in the data. Volume 11 sold just as much as the volumes before, maybe a tiny little bit more but nothing exceptional.
So the manga is still doomed?
Ending physiologically in 50 chapters. And all is right with that.
Ah, so close to hall of Fame again. Would have been the fourth Rizu chapter.
5Toufags are laughing at us again, Bokubenbros.
be nice to abs guy
>spams thread with useless posts that have no meaning nor importance
>be nice to the autist
"No."
Based Sawako
Remove yourself
What if I like both?
FUMIKU FUMIKU FUMIKU
Why does the tripfag like Asumi so much, she's not even a good character
Sawako and Sensei are saving this manga.
his 3rd world country desperately needs medical aid
He only started reading her chapters because of his piss fetish. He only showed up after the piss chapter spoilers came out.
Blind retard.
Mami is well-known for his shit taste and crossboarding. Just filter him if he bothers you that much.
>shit taste
Such as?
>Another Fumikuchad
TIME TO RISE UP BROTHER
>Fumiku
>not Asuchika
Richika is the correct choice.
Uruka/Rizubros?
>normalfag taste
Seems about right.
>Ao that high
But why? She's pretty annoying and her show isn't that good either.
Go back.
>Fumiku
>Liking the blank piece of paper is both series
Ironic
Huh?
What made Nisekoi sells milions while Bokuben still can not reach it?
>reddit animeonlyfag taste
Yuck
When Nisekoi ended, we finally learned
I wouldn't put it past manga fuminofags to spam vote the polls desu.
Komi had better art and girls.
Plus drama made it exciting to read until 50 chapter after the romeo and juliet play where we became otters and couldn't just drop it.
>Plus drama made it exciting to read until 50 chapter
It remained popular well after that.
It reached peak otter status during the Marika arc.
All the Nisekoi characters had canon birthdays, while here only Asumi does.
Nisekoi had Y-san.
Is there any other manga with fan this based and so loyal to his waifu?
Put your trip back on, faggot.
