continuing from The school sports festival is aproaching, and the students are preparing the venue. For chapter 56 we get to focus on the beautiful blonde Rio Fujisawa, and her attempts to improve herself so she can work together with others.
Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai thread
chapter 60, not 56.
I like how Rio and chihiro became best friends.
So the story thus far is that ever since Rio fell in love with Yugami because he helped her out, a lot of stuff happened and she gained a best friend in Chihiro. Problem is, she feels she hasn´t resolved the problem that left her needing Yugami´s help in the first place, which is her scaring people away with her strict personality. Suzune´s college struggles are but a painful warning of what could happen if she doesn´t change...
Still hoping for that threesome with Yugami.
To prepare for the sports festival, the classes have to divide work between them. Rio was the class president in her class, but was irate at them for being so unwilling to work (except for yugami´s "best friend", who just doesn´t care). She tries to look at Yugami for inspiration, and asks Kadota what he´s like as a captain, but I don´t get the answer.
Regardless, she decides to see books on how to approach people, and join the executive student comitee that´s organizing the festival, alongside chihiro.
The tasks are divided amongst the group, with Chihiro being in charge of making boxes, Watanabe with fetching supplies and Rio once again part of the group that´s painting large posters.
Yugami is looking forward to beautiful panels, but rio is struggling to be welcoming and understanding with the students that decided to join her group (because they though she was really hot/cute), because they do some really sloppy work.
>Still hoping for that threesome with Yugami.
Yugami would probably be the one that has to be talked into it.
In the end of chapter 60, Rio was overcome by her strictness, and drove everyone away. She considered completely giving up on her standards until Yugami showed up, and reminded her that it´s okay to want to do things properly if you really care for them.
This also means that if Chihiro wants to go the same university as Rio, she´s gotta have some very intense private lessons to improve her grades, but it´s for her own good.
By chapter 61 preparations are nearly complete, so it´s time for the beginning of the school festival.
To sum up what happened, the billboards are finished but when Kadota sees Yugami looking unethusiastic, he thinks Yugami doesn´t care about the upcoming school festival. He thinks it´s a good thing, since that makes the odds of Yugami injuring himself and compromising the koshien campaign pretty low, but he should know better by now...
From Yeagashi´s perspective, he is dreading this event because sports aren´t his thing and the last partners for the three legged race he got didn´t work well with him. This time, he managed to be paired with chihiro so he might as well be in heaven, while Kuzumi insisted on being Yugami´s partner to keep him under watch.
Chihiro worked really hard and is looking forward to this festival since she hadn´t been able to share it with friends before, but as it turns out Yugami´s competitiveness also translates to the games, and his sluggishness was merely him conserving his energy.
So he really appreciates it when Yeagashi plays to his strenghts and sets up a strategy that helps their team win the bean bag throwing event.
Fuckin cute.
Not sure if Chihiro is hot or bothered by Yugami taking his top, but the man´s fire won´t be quenched by his manager wanting him to take it easy.
In a cavalry battle, the team whose player on top loses his headband is eliminated, so Yeagashi is really frightned of other stuents attacking them. However, as he is the president of the historical research club the situation makes him recall actual battles with cavalry, and he comes up with a new strategy
End of Chapter 61.
Poor Yeagashi got injured when the hot blood of the guys holding him got to their heads. Now he can´t participate in the three legged race when he really wanted to, and since Yugami is feeling guilty for dropping him, he decides to run twice in the event and replace him as Chihiro´s partner. Now it´s her turn to feel self counscious.
Poor Gasshi, but he was simply in the way of fate's OTP.
Thanks for dumping.
And to close down volume 12, we have these three bonus pages to show that Yugami wasn´t only helping Rio with the school festival preparations.
The next volume isn´t scanned, so we´ll have to do with magazine scans. They look pretty good, so they were probably taken from the digital version of the magazine.
As for the chapters themselves, chapter 62 concludes the sports festival and chapter 63 features Yugami´s little sister needing help with math, because the mind needs training too. Until tomorrow.
Thanks for the dump.
See ya tomorrow Yugami user
Hello. Time for chapter 45 translations
>February 14th. Valentine's Day
>It's an event irrelevant for us in the History Club.
>I, Watanabe Hiroto, await the chocolate
>from all you ladies
>What's with him? So annoying
>[Secret Box (aka Mystery Box) : The inside and surface are rigged with a trick so that it only be opened by triggering a certain mechanism]
>Who are you trying to appeal to with that?
>Do you actually think you could get Valentine's chocolate with that performance?
>Huh? What about Valentine's Day?
>I don't need any chocolate
>If we're talking sweets, manjuu is better than chocolate.
>That guy's always acting tough
>As expected of you, Yugami-kun. Valentine's Day doesn't matter
>That guy says some good stuff from time to time.
>That's right. Valentine's is for shiteaters.
Thank you TL user. You haven't slowed down at all.
>Yugami-kun and Valentine's
>Hey, Waka-chan. What are you doing for Valentine's Day?
>What?
>Aren't you going to give chocolate?
>Don't you like him? The guy with the unusually bright eyes?
>[Baseball club's former captain
>Shigehara Kyoshi]
>Hmm, I'm going to hold back from this event.
>It doesn't suit me anyways
>Valentine's Day, huh
>I'm sure they would be surprised if I gave them something about of the blue
>Manager
>Please give us chocolate
>this Valentine's day
>Huh?
>Preferably handmade chocolate
>Ha? I don't want to. How am I supposed to make enough chocolate for the whole team?
>You're all I've got, manager
>Please, I'm counting on you
>We'll train harder
>Wait a second, if I give the team obligatory chocolate
>I can give chocolate to Shigehara-san naturally
>Get me some, too
>Here you go
>Fine, I got it. I'll make chocolate
>Just tally the people who want one
>People who want chocolate
>7
>What is this?
>Draw a tally there if you want manager's homemade chocolate
>There's going to be chocolate distributed amongst the people interested.
>What kinda system is that?
>That's just an order for chocolate
>What the hell is it with Valentine's Day?
>How worthless
>Captain, if you keep saying that, you're not going to get the chocolate you would've otherwise received.
>You don't know who's listening
>Hm?
>[It's all the stuff Yuuji had previously handcrafted]
>He made so much, he ran out of room to store it. Eventually, it had to be disposed of.
>We're not a storehouse, you know
>Damn, you found out
>Take it back!
>Clothing room
>It would be a waste. I'll just use this.
>I wanted a shelf anyways
>I should thank Yugami-kun
>That's right, it's almost Valentine's Day
>Huh? What about Valentine's Day?
>I don't need any chocolate
>Never mind
>Hm
>Manager looks dull
>She kinda looks tired
>Yugami-san, I think you should follow up on her in times like these as a captain.
>Other than doing your own training
>Please do your job properly in place of the manager.
>Isn't that Yokomizo guy way too fat?
>You noticed now?
>He's been that way since the beginning of the year.
>He's so slow! He's not stealing any bases like that
>It's not just Yokomizo
>They've all been slow since new year's.
>Yugami-san, you haven't noticed for an entire month?
>Man, I ate so much during New Year's that I've started to eat a lot in general.
>I've only been looking forward to eating recently.
>Huh? What's that?
>Oh, if you add a tally there, you get handmade chocolate from the manager.
>I want some! I want some!
>Me too! Me too!
>Yokomizo, why did you put down 6 tallies?
>You're going to throw off the number of people interested.
>If I don't eat at least 6 boxes, I won't notice that I ate at all.
>Oh, do you just put down however many chocolates you want?
>If that's the case, I'll ask for 1 more to celebrate.
>Me too! Me too!
>Ow!
>Oh, captain. Sorry.
>This uniform is kinda small
>I'm forbidding chocolate exchanges in this club
>What?
>No way
>What should I do... I got caught up in the turmoil and can't give chocolate
>[Because February 14th would be a day off]
>[the 13th, 14th, and 15th]
>[would be treated as Valentine's Day]
based
>[The 13th (Saturday) after school]
>Man, I got so much.
>It's so hard being popular.
>Yo, Yaegashi. Did you get any chocolate?
>It can't be helped
>It's unfair how some people don't get any
>I'll give you one. I don't really like chocolate that much anyways.
>I'll give you guys some memories
>Happy Valentine's Day
>Th- that bastard. What's with him looking down on us?
>He concluded that we didn't get any chocolate without even talking to us.
>It is true that we didn't get any though
>What gives him the right to make fun of us?
>He's been solicitating for chocolate
>He only got a bunch of obligatory chocolate anyways
>God dammit, I want to return the favor
>But how should we?
>They're just unilaterally blabbing again
>Regret
>If it was Yugami-kun he probably wouldn't do something this unsightly
>I don't need something like chocolate
>I got it
>I have a good idea
>Yo, everyone working hard?
>Huh? Shigehara-san! What's up?
>I heard you can get homemade chocolate at the baseball club.
>I've been looking forward to it since then
>Ohh, captain trashed that plan in an instant.
>What? No way! I've been looking forward to it
>While everyone's plan didn't go as expected...
>It becomes Monday
>Shimizu-san gave me some chocolate but
>what's with this plain message?
>To Kadota-kun
>Thank you for everything as always
>Shimizu
>Isn't this... obligatory chocolate?
>What exactly are we?
>What is she expecting from me?
>I just don't know
>What's this box?
>Oh, isn't that Yugami-kun's box?
>Hm? Oh yeah, he was holding it like it's valuable
>There's something in here. I wonder what it is
>This won't open so easily
>What kind of treasure is in here?
>It's chocolate
>Hahaha this is what he was trying so hard to protect?
>How sad
>He's probably keeping it safe because it's something important from someone important
>If it was me, I wouldn't treat so importantly if it was just obligatory chocolate
>You sure? Maybe he's treating the single obligatory chocolate he got like treasure.
>Watanabe-kun, there's no way that that chocolate is obligatory.
>I mean, Yugami-kun has no friends.
>No one would give him anything like that.
>It's better to get 1 sentimental chocolate
>than 100 obligatory ones
>We got him
I didn't know how to translate "honmei choco". How do other translators do it?
>[This extravagant sentimental chocolate was bought by pooling the History Club's pocket money.]
>[And then]
>He's coming!
>Run!
>They needed an antithesis of Watanabe-kun to exact revenge
>Yugami Yuuji was selected for it
>[Popular in class]
>[Cast out by class]
>That box
>What the hell is that?
Maybe ask your mom?
>It looks like expensive chocolate
>but the sender is no where to be found
>For some reason this was in my trick box that was laying in the hallway.
>Something's fishy
>What are they after?
>Didn't you say that Valentine's is worthless?
>You robbed us of our chocolate and you're gonna enjoy it yourself, huh?
>Then take it
no bully pls ;_:
>It's kinda bitter
>It's good
>One piece per person
>Oh, that looks good. Can I have some?
>I wouldn't. You don't know what's in there.
>I made chocolate because he said he wanted some
>But I don't have the courage to give it to him, after all
>Shi- Shigehara-san. What are you doing?
>Everyone told me there was chocolate in the box and I could have some.
>Shigehara-san, there's chocolate in the box in the clubroom.
>This guy's right in the midst of exams. Just how much does he want chocolates?
>I just can't seem to open this
>It's really difficult
>Oh
>It opened!
>I got it
>I was too late
>I- if you're fine with that
>Feel free...
>Oh, OOOHH
>You still had some left!
>Thank you! I'll savor every bite
>No, well...
not sure what you meant. Didn't you ask your mom about some expressions you weren't sure about?
>Someone touched it again
>In the short while I left my seat
>Is it the same guy from yesterday?
Oh I thought you were teasing me. I don't think she knows how to translate it into English eloquently. Looks like I need to skim some romcoms for reference
>Hey, Chihiro-chan. Did you put something in Yugami's box just now?
>Ah, yeah
>It's a surprise
>Manjuu
>It's manjuu
>I want dango tomorrow
the end
Thank you. Really appreciate you two.
So she gave him manjuu because she knew he would prefer that to chocolate, huh?
Even her birthday is hot.
Add yet another reaction image.
I got this from last thread.
Thanks
Based Yugami anons.
How far out from the final chapter are we?
Fuck this guy.
