I always wondered if it really makes that much of a difference. Burning calories is insanely slow compared to just consuming less, I have a hard time believing something like taking the stairs rather than the elevator and so on has a large impact.

Asians in general seems to put much more value on discipline and effort (probably because in lots of their countries, life isn't cushy even if you're a useless loser so you have to actually try).
