This is the biggest issue. Kazuma and Aqua are ok for most of the part, but Darkness and Megumin are so annoying. It gets even worse when you know about the LN and thus the direction the anime would go in, as well as Megumeme's obnoxiously large and loud reddit-tier fanbase.

Darkness and Megu volumes are a literal drama borefest.

I left Konosuba generals when I dropped the series. If I am posting on this thread is because I am bored.
Konosuba is just another generic Isekai. Deal with it.
Those volumes are shit because the author sucks at writing female drama and romance. The characters aren't that bad, even the Maxwell part was edgy but good. But seriously, if you have to stomach 25 pages of shit for only 5 of good comedy then you have to consider your taste.

Being popular doesn't make the things good. If I picked-up this series was because it's popular and dropped it because is garbage, nothing more nothing less.

Maybe check the dub and they might connect. Don't really know, only my brother said he watched the dub and he said it was funnier.

I watched an episode of the dub out of curiosity and it was terrible. The VAs mostly missed the subtleties of the characters and that sucked the fun out of it for me. Kazuma sounds like a boring twerp average MC, Megumin sounds a lot more shaky/shy instead of cocky and coy, Aqua was just grating with none of her sweet innocent side. And many jokes fell flat for me because of the boring delivery of lines.

I laughed my ass off from the way Kazuma got isekai'd, specifically the scene where he pissed his pants. That was the funniest moment of the show afterwards it wasn't really funny for me.
