So, I'm a big fan of Kyoani but I have never watched their Key adaptions.
I have been watching Clannad. I like it quite a bit though it isn't anything amazing. I wrote it off as shit for normalfags so it is exceeding my low exceptions even though I am not very impressed.
My question though, is: Why are all of the girls in this show legitimately autistic?

If you really like Clannad by the time you finish After Story, watch the movie. It fills in gaps where the TV series sort of brushes aside, you also get to see a cheerful Nagisa.

All Kyoani is true Kyoani. They can be split into 4 defining era's though. First there's the beloved CEL Era Kyoani, then there's Vintage Kyoani, then there's Classic Kyoani, then there's Transition Kyoani and finally there's Modern Kyoani.

Usually VN generally always had better art, because of static sprites. But not older Key works. Not at all. KyoAni's Character design is a fucking masterpiece if you compare it to older Key VNs.
Their first good looking VN was Rewrite. Little Busters was okay too, but not Clannad and Kanon.
And for me Clannad and Kanon works better as anime adaptations.
Air however should be consumed only as VN.
Rewrite has no anime adaptation...
