It has to be actual magic that in universe is still called magic. It can't be "Psychic powers" or "Made up mumbo jumbo word that means magic." the characters in the show have to call it, without irony, "Magic."
The space wizard isn't a jedi or a psyker or anything, he's called a wizard and he does magic.
