learn japanese? i know people who like anime are a bit handicapped in the brain but please be realistic with your suggested solutions

You have two eyes: use one to look at the screen, and the other to read the subtitles.

Speedreading. They're just phrases every 3 seconds or so, you should be able to do it with some practice. If you can't and it's really that much of a problem, just suck it up and watch dub.

read the manga first so you will know what they will say before they say it

Just read the subtitles quickly at a line change and them move eyes to the scene.
You'll get used to it

For me it's like manually breathing
I watch anime all the time and don't think i haven't any problem missing anything. But once I remember I have to read the subtitles I start doing it manually and my focus is either on the subtitles or on the action.

Imagine being so much of a brainlet that you can't properly watch subtitled stuff. If you're only starting then don't worry, you'll get used to it soon. Otherwise find another hobby.
