I'm finally watching this right now, 5 episodes in and man the pacing is slow. At first I enjoyed the quiet, dreary atmosphere it set. But now that things are actually happening and I know what's going on, it just sort of gets in the way.

Like each episode is 23 minutes but it feels like 45. Does it get better Yea Forums?

It gets better, then it gets worse, then it gets incredible. The part you're at now should be picking up more steam very soon, then around the half way point it slows down again. Some people drop it at this point but if you stick with it the finale is well worth the slog. I haven't seen anything else like it.

First 5 episodes are just /r9k/ walking simulator, then like the next 13 episodes are about politic conflicts for dummies, then shit gets "bruh, the hell i'm watching at" but if you pay attention you can put 1 and 1 together so is not really that complicated, just keep going for the full experience.

What was he planning on doing to himself? When we last see him his feet are rooting to the earth like the Shapes but he hasn't turned himself into a sack for his weird idea of evolution. His eyes seemed to have clouded over too so I have a suspicion he blinded himself, I imagine he wanted to fuse with Ran to gain her vision before she killed herself. I would've liked to see Kano show up a bit earlier in the story, he's a really strange character and I'd love to learn more about him.

The first time I watched it I just kind of assumed he meant he'd use her as his personal seer or something.
