GS is the only one to ever see high leveled goblins? they are hiding in massive numbers or killing off plenty of higher ranked adventurers since not a single info of them was ever leaked.

The orphans from the constant battle with the Demonlord's armies are meatgrinded into the adventurer's guild, and being extra mouths, won't be missed if they die against the goblins. The goblins serve to keep the peasantry oppressed, and desperate for protection, by any state power, or company such as the Adventurer's Guild, it's why the armies of the kingdoms does very little to exterminate the Goblins, only doing so on rare occasions such as when several kingdoms levy a group of adventurer's to deal with a Goblin infestation, such as with High Elf, Dwarf, and Lizardbro when they went to Goblin Slayer.

I do think the series would work slightly better if they played down the goblin threat. I mean, it's a fantasy world, there's a shitload of things that want to kill you. Having a lot of people go "Goblins are really dangerous" seems to be a bit of an exaggeration.
The story generally works best when Goblin Slayer is a relatively local hero, not a guy who sees the true danger. I mean, there are a LOT of adventurers and everyone has their own shit going on.

But I think the main different In the writing is GB dosn't have nearly as much detail as overlord.
But it gives enough to paint a picture in you mind while reading.
And good translations are easy to find.
