The whole fic is really long, it would be infeasible to animate the whole thing, unfortunately. Especially at the level of quality that the two current episodes display.

Original KF is good because every introduction and conclusion to a minor event is interesting, satisfying and had a sense of real overcoming. The whole series is full of smaller premises and encounters building into a bigger world. This is important because Japari Park and every character in the show is a complete mystery and each encounter makes the audience to learn, discover and overcome more in an organic manner.

In Kemono Friends, everything is framed incredibly well because the story is being told from the perspective of characters that don't fully understand what's going on, but there is enough subtext being conveyed to the audience to give an idea of what kind of world this is. Like when we see semi-operated and abandoned cafe's and broken down machinery, this is simply a wonderful curiosity that makes us want to understand, explore and keep going.

Because the main characters don't truly understand what's going on it makes all of their actions more meaningful, and everything has a true sense of initiative and overcoming. Nobody controls them. There's not clear end goal. Only the small actions are important and this gives a higher weight to smaller situations and a greater sense of achievement for personal goals. The scene where they find, retrieve and operate the bus for the first time simply because they chose that they wanted to is a defining example of these type of interactions.

Kemono Friends delivers and executes a premise of exploration and discovery in such a well refined and clever way that I'm not entirely sure that the whole thing wasn't an extremely lucky accident.

KF1 was made on like no budget by a dedicated crew of people, including a fairly unknown director
It exploded to be the surprise hit of the season, selling insane amounts of character goods and toys. The show with no budget and shit animation outperforming all the heaviest hitters made it seem like this would be developed into a flagship franchise. The beloved director, Tatsuki, even posted teasers about how they were immediately working on S2, as well as making extra shorts for the fans, free of charge
Then Kadokawa decided that the golden goose must have a lot of gold inside it and fired Tatsuki to make their own S2. IT only came out on twitter, no official announcement or anything. The general confusion and anger was handled in the worst possible way, blaming other companies (who released statements saying they were lying) and making VAs apologize for something they had nothing to do with. It was cartoonishly incompetent.
Tatsuki was never rehired, S2 was a flaming trash pile of a show with none of the original charm and was worst rated show of all time on niconico, and here we are

S2 was made by a different studio. It was pushed ahead for months in order to compete against Kemurikusa (an anime from the studio that made KF S1). This new studio was urgently hiring 3D animators even during the airing of the show and ended up outsourcing a lot of episodes. One of them even leaked a script with important spoilers. Those are enough red flags to avoid that mess.

A fiend dies. Not turned back into an animal, but dies as in buried under tons of rubble from a collapsing building (That somehow fell on her from the sky despite her standing on the roof). Nobody is upset by this and shortly afterwards they hold a happy concert over the spot she's buried.

Kaban and Serval are no longer friends and Serval ha lost nearly all her memories of Kaban, only remembering that she used to travel around with a weird friend in the past. At the end Kaban tries to job Serval's memory but Serval chooses to stay with the new MC instead. While Kaban is crying the happy KF1 theme is playing. What happened to the two of them and if Kaban ever found humans is never addressed.

They introduce a dog friend who's going crazy with loneliness without humans and finally finding a human who plays with her. While trying to defend said human she gets badly hurt by a Cerulian. After the Cerulean is defeated she's called useless and told to go home alone. The following episodes up until the end cut back to he being alone several times for no reason, and she's one of the only friends who Kaban did not bring to help them at the end. At the end she's trying to cheer herself up looking at old pictures and letters of fans of the park.

MC gives up on her mission to find her home because "Her real home is the friends she made along the way". This is followed by a drawing showing that she's a former park guest and thus does have an actual home somewhere.

There's more, but these were some of the worst parts so you get the gist of how the season went over with fans of S1. The whole season felt spiteful to the first.

Actually dog got badly beaten by the tiger beast and Serval and Caracal save her. The Beast runs away after Serval stare at her with her Wild Release for some reason.

Let's not forget that after the Beast ran away Kyururu ignores Dog even though she was willing to risk her life for Kyururu and got badly injured because of Kyururu.

Serval and Caracal did when fighting their clones. Those clones were exceptionally strong in that they're able to put of a fight. I guess Kyururu does have a strong connection to them.

The beast was the only remotely threatening thing in the show and that is not saying much.

Yup, it seems they got only loose concepts before the S1, then the anime got hugely popular, so with the guidebooks they tried to put some order to those loose concepts to make on that way something resembling a canon, so it seems that Bible was made after the guidebooks and it would not surprise me if that Bible was made after 9/25 and expressly for the S2
