前略 I wonder if the bigger companies give the trainees the same gondola every day, or if you just get whatever is available. It must be nice to have one of your own like in Aria Company.

The dekkai dynasty is over.

we know they pick their oars from a wall at Orange Planet, i guess gondolas can be the same way. If you have a pool, you can stagger maintenance schedules.
No one would dare to touch the favorite gondola of The Siren, the only water fairy named after a man eating monster, though.

Those are the most metal wind turbines I've ever seen.

To think this manga would make you feel sad for a boat.

Yeah, I assume once you make prima then you get your own. You've got to get a white one anyway, and they probably want to make then look a bit unique.

Thanks Aria poster, even after all these years.

Imagine having Akari as your mom

I think it would be a lot like Akatsuki's mom from yesterday.

Thanks as always, I expected today's chapter to be a little more late. Also, this day marks one year since the first Daily Yotsuba Chapter thread (), and since then we went through Yotsuba, Azumanga, YKK, Planetes and finally, currently ongoing, Aria. And also a change of OPs. So while I joined the Yotsuba threads in the middle of the run, I ended up staying enjoying the atmosphere of these threads. I hope these daily chapters threads stays as a tradition somehow, since they are a great change of pace. Remember, today is always the most enjoyable day.

Thanks OP. Kicking off the volume with a very earnest and sentimental chapter. It's funny the attachment we can make with inanimate objects, really - but it's nice that Akari's old gondola still get a good lease on life carrying cargo around.
Gondolas in Venice used to come in a whole variety of different colours and have incredible amounts of decoration - the gondolas used by the Primas would probably fit in with them! However, a law was passed that required all gondolas to drop most of their luxurious trappings in favour of the black we're familiar with today. You might also wonder about the funky-looking 'comb' on the bow of the gondola. The 6 smaller 'prongs' pointing forwards represent the 6 districts (known as sestieri) of Venice - San Marco, San Polo, Santa Croce, Cannaregio, Dorsoduro and Castello. The sole 'prong' pointing backwards represents the Giudecca, historically considered to be close to Venice but not too close.
Either way, it's an elegant-looking boat. I'd like to help maintain Akira-sama's gondola.

It she doesn't feel like it's been a whole year. Amazing how time flies.
