does this also happen to you, Yea Forumsnons?
Burnout on my backlog, so decide to rewatch my favourite shows

What have you tried watching?
>rewatch my favourite shows
>they get better
No, because I started watching anime at a fairly advanced age, adjusted my favourites constantly and, most importantly, none of them ever were shitty teen comedies like Haruhi or Azumanga.
Are you sure you aren't just so burned out that even things you like seem worse now?
Also some things will drop in your view because you've seen more to compare it to. I remember thinking Akira was amazing when I was younger but watching it 15 years later my view dropped a bit due to having seen better things since. Similar happened with Elfen Lied.
>shitty teen comedy
>azumanga
You need to go back
No because I don't score shit.
It's for teenagers and people with a double digit IQ. Try to spin it as much as you want, nothing's gonna change that. If you think of Azumanga, Nichijou, Haruhi, Hidamari Sketch or similar shows as anything but teen trash then you are, in fact, still a teenager yourself. I could forgive you 14 years ago when you were a teenager, but if you still consider this garbage to be amusing then that's a clear indication that you've been stuck in the mid 2000s ever since.
post top 5 redditor
My top 3 are TTGL, Code Geass, and Eureka 7. I remember having extremely strong feeling for all 3 after first watching, which remained even after a couple repeat viewings over the years, however that was nearly a decade ago, at this point, while I still think of those 3 shows as my top 3 only TTGL has never diminished in my mind and I still enjoy watching it, hearing its soundtrack or just thinking about it, as much as I did in 2007.
Manga was a totally different kettle of fish though, I used to be big into stuff like Strongest Disciple Kenichi, Bakuman or Air Gear, all of which i've reread at least once and which I still don't think are trash but they wouldn't even be in my top 30 at this point.
Imagine putting Nichijou in the same league as the rest of those shows.
>redditor
You are so out your league it's pitiable. All the shows listed are literally peakreddit. So if anything, you're the redditor. Hidamari and Haruhi even have a higher score on reddit than they do on MAL. redditanimelist.net
Your taste is r/anime approved, yet you pretend to have unique opinions.
okay but what are they
Gintama 1-5
>Azumanga and Haruhi genre-defining
>Hidamari nutbladder-hospitalizing
>Nichijou ???
> 860 anime watched
> backlog id 70 days long
> still haven't rewatched a single show
will i ever be free
>if you don't like the same things I do you're either an idiot or a teenager
Projecting teen detected.
Who are you quoting? Cause it certainly isn't me.
I'm curious too, what are your top 5?
So you're saying that thinking back on a show you've watched before you can't discern in retrospect what was actually quality content and what wasn't? Is your memory usually that bad?
It's interesting what the best ratio is between watching and re-watching. For me it's maybe 25% re-watching I guess. But I'm new to anime; I expect it to go up over time.
In the Yea Forums world there are two schools of thought: some people think you should never read a book you aren't going to re-read; others disagree. I can't think of any show I've seen so far that a) I am glad I watched but b) I would never want to watch again. But there may be such a show.

Figures. Yea Forums is populated by retarded people unable to formulate a single critical thought of their own.
