GER's ability is to reset someone's actions back to zero. Not to cancel the actions directly. He can't undo someone's stand power if he can't find the user himself.

Literally none of his motivations make the slightest bit of sense.
He wants to kill his own daughter because he thinks that she could reveal his identity (despite the fact that she knows absolutely nothing about him). Why even send Bruno’s crew to protect her in the first place? This is why part 5 is the worst part, the entire first half of the story is completely disregarded all for the sake of a lame twist Araki thought of one week.

I'm almost done with part 3...when will jojo get good again? Part 2 was great.

Part 3 suffers from being the fist JoJo part that uses a Stand-battle of the weak formula. Other parts use this formula too, but they all manage to flow much better than Part 3. Part 3 also has a lot of boring Stands because Araki was only just figuring out what exactly he wanted Stands to be.

Imo, JoJo "gets good again" with the last few episodes of Part 3, when they finally reach DIO

Sky high is probably the most unique concept for an ability in Jojo, and the fight is one of the best in part 6. I suggest you read it again because it isn't bad like people parrot it to be. Planet waves is a good fight only because its paired with the guard and survivor, no doubt if it was by itself it would be shit but its still a good fight.

It's hard to say for sure (and probably depends on what Araki feels like) but I think there's an at least decently plausible argument that Diavolo can use Epitaph to see Cheap Trick kill him and latch on to someone else, use KC to skip that, and the end result is that Cheap Trick is now on a completely different guy while Diavolo is free. The biggest problem would be whether or not Cheap Trick gets carried along in the skipped time since Heaven's Door didn't work on it because they're considered the same entity. In that case Diavolo is fucked.
