Its not who but what? It's that kind of agent and the answer is basically stress and escapism.
>that episode with the dad spying on his own daughter
This fucking show.
good right?
Someone thinks the viewer is the agent
The first few episodes and the last ones were really good unfortunately the other ones dragged down the show
Agent as in a carrying substance, like agent orange.
Not agent as in secret service.
It was the friends we made along the way.

AAAAHH EEEE YAAA
I loved Happy Family Planning.
This. Because paranoia spreads like a virus in the show.

But he implied i was a person here...I guess
poetic
Satoshi didnt even direct that episode, right?
It was born by the inspiration and escapism of a single artist, spread through the media and society to became real to everyone and increasingly powerful
Is this anime similar to Otomo's works?
wtf does this have to do with anything from Katsuhiro Otomo? did you get your directors mixed up?
the ending...i meant the ending
Came here to post this.
It's despair and escapism born into an human form.
It's interesting that now that this thing is alive it just kills humans. It doesn't help them or tell them what are those feeling they feel. It just kills them.
Is this better than Paprika?
>Who was the paranoia agent?
Lil Slugger
Zero chance that's what they meant. Nips can barely mangle English into their pop references, that sort of inference is beyond 99.9999999999999999999999% of their island ESLers.
the episode with the girl old man and middle aged man was the best episode
Yes but not as good as Perfect Blue
still the most chilling OP of all time
I felt more invested in this series , both are worth a watch though
So, in the end, he wasn't able of outclass his first work
Why is it that whenever a work "comes to life" it starts fucking shit up for everyone? Just once I'd like to see some chuuni faggot's work actually save the day instead of subjecting people to ironic deaths
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
it's a double entendre
weakest satoshi kon work.
More like Satoshi Kon work for morons
i couldn't even finish perfect blue
don't know why people hype it up
paranoia agent is a classic, though
Pretty sure the classics are Perfect Blue and Paprika, considering they have been ripped of by americans
I always thought the structure of the show was a little odd.
7 episodes following the cops trying to catch little slugger ending with them getting fired.
Then 3 episodes that are just about random people in relation to what Little Slugger has become in society to various degrees.
Then we go back to the main story for the last 3 episodes.
I was still sad that the old cop basically gets a bad end despite finally coming to terms with reality. He's stuck as a security guard for construction sites and his wife is dead. Would have liked him to at least get some up side.
Also he was Kon's favorite character. What did he mean with this?
>comes to terms with life
>his wife is dead
>gets a new stable job instead of dying from depression
>"It can't be helped."
That's what he meant.
SOCIETY
The collective subconscious nightmares of modernity
The Last Action Hero
Watch out, cuckistan 2.0 will want you imprisoned.
>Any critiques of current society is bad
Nah, just overdone. Paranoia Agent is good, but it's still funny to laugh at how shallow its imitators are and project that onto the originals
the friends we made along the way
What if the real Paranoia Agent are the suicides we caused along the way?
Re: creators, it was pretty bad though
