To make up for the lack of romance in my life. I only watch the type of romance that panders to me, i.e. where someone who is literally me is handed a girlfriend by the plot with little effort of his own. "Serious" romance or "romance drama" doesn't interest me at all.

Not me. I like things to be drama free. If anything drama makes me angry. The main problem with drama is that it usually involves the characters acting like idiots or horrible people which alienates them from me and makes me dislike them. Even worse then there are love triangles and such bullshit which can instantly ruin a show.

I watch romance anime only if it's in the style of Wuthering Heights.

I try, because the good ones have great character development and relationship changes, but damn, most are shit. Many of the most interesting romances I find are in non-romance series.

Actually, they weren't as autistic as the normal characters from romcoms so it's hard to find them cute. Also, the setting felt realistic but having half-assed characters like them make it bad. Not autistic enough to be interesting and not realistic enough to feel like you understand them.
