Welcome to causality.
At this point, it's reasonable to assume that:
>Griffith will build his empire
>Will actually, in a way, make a world a better place
>Not many will know or give a fuck that he was the cause for all the fantasia shit-fest except Guts & Co.
>Guts vs. the world v3.0
>Either Casca or Guts uses behelit

Someone also mentioned. in some previous thread, that it's highly possible, that killing moon-child could also resolve the conflict & end the story faster.

Thoughts?

When the fuck is Miura making more
The book about Grunbeld just got released in English and will tide me over for a while but goddamn

Attached: Grunbeld.jpg (669x960, 262K)

I don't think killing Moonchild is acceptable since he's Caska's baby boy. Also there's no way in hell Guts is using a behelit. Honestly I can't see anyone in the main cast sacrificing anything.

Attached: Happy Charlotte.png (1098x372, 248K)

There's a lot of rape in the novel.

How exciting!

Attached: Clapping strumpet.png (311x662, 141K)

Will it get adapted?

Ouch.

>Soon after, Grunbeld's village was invaded and occupied by military sent by Chuder Empire. His servant was castrated and bled to death, his mother lost her life fighting Chuder soldiers to her bitter end. When she died she was gang-raped, had all her teeth and nails pulled out forcibly, decapitated horizontally and finally having her tongue cut off. Grunbeld would later grow up (age 14) and avenge her mother by killing her mother's murderer in a duel with wooden weapons exactly the way he killed her.

Nah.

Best Apostle

Attached: Apostle_Grunbeld.png (908x1400, 462K)

>Just when everyone was cornered and seemed to be in great danger, Grunbeld saw a warhammer hung over the arena and in desperation, attempted to grab it. But the warhammer, with length of 130cm was originally an artifact stolen from Grant temple by Chuders. It was not meant for ordinary humans to wield so it was treated as nothing more than a mere votive object. The real reason this warhammer was put in the arena was sadistic and unsavory: to have contestants seeing it and attempting to pick it up, but unable to due to being too heavy, then watching them wallowing in despair. But Grunbeld, with his immense strength, picked up the warhammer and killed the tiger with it by smashing its head with the weapon. (this is the warhammer that Grunbeld would use it in Berserk until it was destroyed by Guts wearing Berserker Armor)
Sounds familiar.

Standing here I realize you were just like me

>Grunbeld is still standing, but bloodied, broken, exhausted and unable to go on. Seeing Grunbeld's life decreasing by the minute, Benedicte prophesies Grunbeld to survive by sacrificing her and Sigur, then look for the Hawk of Light. As situation seemed hopeless, Grunbeld's blood smears onto his Behelit which, after rearranging its face to proper form, proceeds to summon God Hand, triggering Invocation of Doom. The four 'angels', Void, Slan, Ubik and Conrad tells Grunbeld to join the force that would be led by reincarnated Hawk of Light in the future. Grunbeld ponders of prophecy made by Benedicte which coincides with God Hand's testament.

>Grunbeld then focuses his attention to dying Benedicte and Sigur: Grunbeld says he loves them too much to leave them to be violated at the hands of their enemies and tells them that they would live on inside him. Sigur and Benedicte, dying of their wounds, understanding Grunbeld and wishing to let Grunbeld live, willingly submitted to their fates and was consumed into flames made by Grunbeld.
Cute. Also, another man who did nothing wrong.

The girls Grunbeld sacrificed.

Attached: 1498659850871.jpg (640x916, 187K)

Goddamn I love that man.

So the man(dragon) has seen his share of suffering too

Attached: sadguts.png (1000x1016, 994K)

He's gonna tax the rich like a good a guy.

Last I checked he was giving the poor jobs instead.

I hope Guts doesn't kill him but I guess that's too much to ask for.

>Grunbeld says he loves them too much to leave them to be violated at the hands of their enemies and tells them that they would live on inside him
And now they are raped by demons for eternity.

Demon sex is the best, ask Caska.

67 chapters away from catching up

SK.net is probably the worst Berserk community on the internet. I love how they jerk off to every crap Miura produces and justify his 8 months long breaks.
Jesus Christ, it's obvious that Miura got really lazy in recent years an the use of digital tools perfectly shows it (I'm not talking about art style, but about obviously copypasted faces and other elements). Yet, they still think this man can do nothing wrong.

Who cares about Grunbeld, where's Irvine's novel

>raped
No. Where did you even get that from? You literally lose your sense of individuality in the Vortex becoming part of the collective.

>Irvine
Literally "nothing personnel, kid" the Apostle.

>It's obvious from this novel, from the crappy anime and the advertising that came with it, the group that owns Berserk misunderstands the series and views it as trash pulp. They're trying to squeeze every last penny out of it by exploiting the sex, violence, and sexual violence. Target audience is Japanese virgin males age 13-16 who are already over saturated with zombies, vampires, zombie vampires, and hentai.
>The worst part is how insulting it is to Miura.
Yes, very insulting. I'm sure Miura had nothing to do with this novel full of sex and sexual violence. We all know he is a deeply cultured men that never uses such cheap vehicles in his story.
They are extremely delusional about who Miura really is. The same fucking guy who wrote a short story about a loli healing with her piss.

>Yea Forums tax meme
sage, report, chess em

Who are you quoting though?

Why would he rape such a cutie

Attached: CascaApple.png (327x396, 116K)

If she didn't want to be fucked, why did she not have underwear?

Some guy from a Berserk forum.

Sounds like a rather silly place.

Attached: Happy guts.jpg (951x1024, 276K)

Miura is right about all this rape and murder in past societies. Based on recent ancient DNA research we can now tell that the past was even more brutal than we thought. Rape and genocide in pre-state societies were unfortunately quite common.
So Miura, who was clearly inspired by philosophers such as Hobbes or Nietzsche, was right about the human nature.

Where did the men of olden times find the energy to do all that raping?

Attached: 1529138764133.jpg (1080x1350, 311K)

I'd stick my penis inside her if you know what I mean.

I'm thinking the behelit is destined for someone in his company but they'll reject it.

I feel like either Puck or Casca will be the one to use it. Casca to try and escape her mental torment of all her memories of the Eclipse, or Puck to try and escape the hell that inevitably awaits Elfheim once Griffith comes knocking and starts slaughtering everyone.

Whether or not they'll make a sacrifice is a different story. The owners of the Behelits are bound by causality to use them, but not necessarily make a sacrifice. Even the Godhand can't predict that, only strongly influence the owner's opinion towards performing the Invocation of Doom and making a sacrifice.

We are animals. Seems like rape was a very good evolutionary strategy. Based on Y-DNA (passed from father to son) we observe how in the past patrilinear lineages spread throughout the world, often replacing local ones. Indo-Europeans were the most successful and the star-like cluster of R1b-M269 shows that most of Western males today can trace their male ancestor to late Neolithic.
Earlier paternal lineages from Western Europe were practically wiped out. There was a big paper about ancient Iberia released recently. Turned out that between 2500 and 2200 all local Iberian men disappeared while the invaders married local women.

Basically "noble savage" is complete nonsense. People in pre-state societies were much more violent than people in state societies. So yeah, even with all those modern wars and genocides we are actually less violent than our ancestors.

I did buy Steven Pinker's Better Angels of Our Nature but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Still, it's pretty obvious that becoming pussies has led to a better life for all.

Attached: 1402929999631.jpg (706x1024, 168K)

To be fair Guts and Griffith have no reason to fight anymore unless some asspull happens.
Guts can just be a family man with Casca and Griffith has his kingdom thing.

Revenge is the only reason Guts needs.

Attached: 1369983675314.jpg (559x665, 154K)

I'm not a fan of Pinker, but he was right about this. It's funny, but recent discoveries show that 19th and early 20th century racists such as Kossina were more right about the past than post 1960s anthropologists and archeologists. There was this big discussion about cultural diffusion and how the process looked like - if it was trade or migration (pots or people). It seems like most of the time pots did not travel without people.

Why is a Berserk thread having scientific discussion like this? I thought we were here for boobs and blood.

Attached: 1418211644372.png (1132x740, 256K)

Something something, every board is worst at discussing its own topic.

Fair enough. So how about Miura's influences outside manga?

Attached: Stairs.jpg (1024x981, 195K)

Because Berserk is clearly inspired by Hobbes. Humans are inherently evil/corrupted, civilization makes them less corrupted and violent. Apostles are outcasts that can fulfill all their desires (in a sense they are more human than humans who are chained by the morals imposed on them by society).
Miura explained that while the system the humans created is better than the natural state it's still corrupted. This is the reason why humans desired a new better world (egg apostle).
However, order can be created only by a powerful soverign (Griffith). Without him the entire system will collapse. There was already a hint in this chapter that Falconia works only thanks to Griffith.

Just makes me wonder how the series will end. Can fantasia even be undone? If it can't, taking down Griffith could just doom humanity.

I hope we get to see more of Ubik and/or Void before the inevitable Godhand confrontation. Slan had her time in the spotlight, now I want to see what their *realms* looks like.

Attached: The garden of earthly delights right side.jpg (631x1462, 431K)

>To be fair Guts and Griffith have no reason to fight anymore
did you forget the part where gut's soul will be sent to hell, and that his friends are in hell too?

Void will be tied in with Gaseric's backstory and I bet Miura's been sitting on it for 30 years now.
Ubik and Conrad are complete non-entities though.

I doubt it will be Casca or Guts, despite people assuming it would be them being most likely.
I think this for multiple reasons:
1. They are too obvious choices, far too in-your-face obvious
2. They are Branded and as far as we know Branded can't use the Behelit, at least it's never been stated that they can
3. Behelits are tied to Causality and Guts and Casca are removed from Causality because of being Branded

I don't think of it as becoming pussies and simply thinking more with our brain-brain and not lizard-brain.

Real men are like the warriors of New-Guinea. Westerners couldn't kill and eat other people like REAL men.

>b r a n d o f s a c r i f i ce

dumb nigga you even read Berderky?

That, and the fact that civilization makes us rely on and trust each other instead of having to be all paranoid every time we encounter someone we don't personally know.

>However, order can be created only by a powerful soverign (Griffith). Without him the entire system will collapse.
They can also uncouple themselves from the sovereign and try a system based on stable institutions rather than individuals, but that would require plenty of education and a good dose of enlightenment.

People only use Behelits because the world is /was/ dogshit. The world isn't dogshit anymore, there aren't any stray apostles running around anymore either, they're all under Griffith. Ganashika was the last rebel, and even he was inclined toward obedience. The only thing left is to fight whatever nightmares come from the astral realm.

More complex societies are less likely to exterminate each other. It makes sense. For primitive hunter-gatherers or early pre-state humans things like food or women were the most important resources.
This is how it looks for Iberia. The locals are very homogeneous, but have different Y-DNA (even if I2a dominates). The invaders are nearly all R1b-M269 but they are very mixed (due to mixing with local women). By 2000 BCE local male lineages are practically extinct.

This is also true for many other events. For example in Mexico the majority of men carry European paternal lineages and Amerindian maternal lineages.

Attached: iberia-admixture-y-dna.jpg (1240x1008, 143K)

If Guts uses a behelit or receives any sort of power up to godlike levels then the entire theme of the story about retaining your humanity and struggling goes out the fucking window. I don't want power-ups, ideally the plot will be resolved by means different than some dumb fight but if you really need that then I'd rather bring Griffith's power down than Guts' up.

Miura will die before he finishes this shitfest.

I thought the whole dog demon metaphor was a setup for him to overcome the revenge for the sake of Casca.

Can't really do anything about it at this point.

Shit, I don’t like reading LNs. Not even w manga?

>Mfw griffith creats an empire similar to HRE
Fucking based, the man can do whatever he wants.

Attached: 1450652337855.jpg (353x353, 20K)

It does make sense really from a basic logical standpoint.
Not to mention that Cortez was (in)famous for his "fun" in Mesoamerica.

In any case to deny our savage heritage is to deny being human.
Instead we should accept that deep down we're still animals, just more technologically developed than others, and instead strive to overcome our weaknesses without denying their existence.

was Guts gay for Griffith?

>Indo-European
This is a language group spanning Europe to Asia, not a specific group of people. So, the correct term is "indo-European speaking people" and not Indo-Europeans.
Similar to how Afro-Asiatic is a language group as well and not an particular group of people.

Does Miura have any backup plans if he die before finishing berserk at all ? If not, he's doing a dick move

In 2011 (iirc) mail made by SkullKnight.net community with a bunch of questions to the JP editorial office, one of them pertained to the ending and the editorial office said Miura had already written it and that it's kept in the editorial office.

They are also connected genetically. When it comes to Indo-Europeans it's easy to track their expansion because of their paternal lined (and also autosomal DNA). All people who today speak Indo-European languages have also their genes.

Pic related is the ending leaked.

lel

I am laughing so fucking hard goddamn user

No. Just read it.

What the hell you guys told me Miura has no idea where to take the story and that's why he's not working on it.

Miura not knowing where to go is a meme, people love to shitpost.
Even the latest chapter clearly shows he has an established narrative in his head (with Griffith = Moonchild etc), problem is that Miura is just lazy as shit and only draws when he needs a new influx of cash.

Can you imagine being one of the most talented people to have ever worked in your chosen field and then doing something other than work all day?

my fucking sides have left the orbit

If Behelits are used to contact the Godhand, can Guts use one to force a confrontation with Griffith?

>They are also connected genetically
Not all Indo-European speaking people are genetically connected. Indo-European is a term used in linguistics. Haplogroups R1b and R1a are the most common, but not the only haplogroups in Europe, so we can determine that not all Indo-European speaking people are genetically connected. Europe was already populated when the migrations began.
We use the Kurgan hypothesis to trace their expansion and the Kurgan hypothesis is based on the spread of the war-chariot post 5000 BCE and covers the area from Ireland to Iran. The migration wasn't always peaceful. The language itself spread via migrations, conquest and trade.

Attached: kurgan hypothesis-1.jpg (398x243, 33K)

Sure, that doesn't apply to Miura though.

Attached: 15.png (266x1015, 193K)

Togashi has medical problems that prevent him from working so it doesn't apply to him at all.

Attached: Inoue.png (350x418, 198K)

10/10

>theres people who believe that you can see the genetics of individuals that died 5000 years ago

This is horoscope tier science.

What the fuck Griffith is even supposed to be at this point?

>turned into Femto demon
>now he's all white and shiny and plays the king
What even happened?

He shares the body with Guts' and Casca's child (the moonchild) and it's clearly influencing him.

Did you not read the manga?

I did but too long ago

I would legit love a novel for each of Griffith's major apostle commanders. Locus and Rakshas deserve elaboration as well, and if Miura is taking so long for each chapter, it'd be neat if they could get that focus without taking up time from the current story

Reread the Conviction arc.

Not /pol/ing, but it's interesting to see that the center of the migration is also the home of the wealthy Ashkenazi Jews and i bet you did nazi that coming.

Attached: khazaria.gif (416x349, 10K)

I mean, what else are you going to do to pass the time? Watch the cabbages grow?

>People only use Behelits because the world is /was/ dogshit. The world isn't dogshit anymore

Dude, the world is worse than ever. Falconia is the only functional state on the continent. For everyone outside of it's protection things have literally never been as bad as they are now

There's always beer.

I think elves know how to make astral and the world separate again which is why grifth opposed them

wild sex policy

Also, everyone is under griffith's fucking boot. Forced to live under his command. Everyone outside falconia is fucking struggling to even find a safe haven.

He wanted to rape Guts, but mistook her for him in the darkness. After that he just kinda rolled with it.

we need a fucking rape reversal edit like this on that scene lmao

You know, thinking about it shit is still godawful bad throughout Midland. Plague, the ravages of the hundred years war and then the Kushans immediately afterward. Ganishiva bombing the countryside, and his death filling the world with Dragons, trolls, giants and other astral world monstrosites. It really is as awful as it's always been

He was literally staring at Guts the entire time, she was just a proxy. In a sense, using Caska was raping Guts mentally.

>I hunted a deer
>A behelit was inside of it
>I hunted another deer
>I stepped on a nail and bled on the behelit
>4 weird people showed up
>"Oh chosen hunter, drawn to us by the current of causality, what is your deepest wish, your grandest desire?"
>"Can I hunt some more deer?"
>"Very well, but your true form shall now be PART DEER!"
>"Okay. Can I still hunt deer?"
>"Yes, but causa-"
>"Later, gonna hunt some deer"
There's your Irvine LN.

What a terrible font

do you mean that literally or figuratively?

Well there's one where Guts is raping Griffith's castle, though I don't have it

>implying the Dragonslayer won't get to kill at least one dragon by the end of the series

10/10

Happens in the last few chapters of the Conviction Arc. Egg Apostle is introduced. He climbs to the top of the Tower of Conviction and hatches Griffith in the human world. Before this, Egg Apostle eats the Demon Infant (Casca' baby), fusing the Infant with Human Griffith.

Then kill this useless shit instead of my nigga Grunbeld

Attached: Dragon.jpg (794x700, 195K)

Every year the ugliest 1% of the population gets feed to his demon army.

>All people who today speak Indo-European languages have also their genes.
That's the dumbest shit I ever heard.
>learn a language
>get genes

So if people die regularly they don't go to the weird vortex do they? Where do they go?

But killing Grunbeld is more dramatic, user. The people of Falconia.could see him die as a sacrificial hero that was killed by a deranged madman.

The Astral World is also considered the afterlife.
There's multiple layers to it, though.
The superficial layer that overlaps with the interstice and mirrors the physical world.
Qilphoth or whatever, a lower level of malicious creeps.
The abstract layer God Hand lives in.
The supposedly lowest level with that torrent of souls and the Idea of Evil.

There's no reason why it would have to be limited to these; the whole Astral world is formed and filled by peoples expectations, myths, desires and such, so peoples souls might usually end up where they "expect" to go, depending on their belief.
Anticipate (or taught?) you'll go to hell? Then you will.

Very unclear. In the lost chapter The Idea of Evil was created by the entire human population's wish for some justification as to why their world is shit. This is the only "God" we see, and probably the only "God" there is. It lives in the vortex humans killed through causality go to. So regular deaths probably still go the Vortex. They could become spirits that wander the Astral Plane (Flora) or just stop existing all together.

>have save way more life than he sacrifies
>also a just ruler who cares for his people and their education
is he, dare i say, redeemed?

They would be right. I hope it'll be many years before that happens though.

...

>talks about getting his own empire
A part of me wishes Miura would explore the rest of the world beyond Europe just to see the reaction to news about Griffith, but it'll just extend the whole manga by 4 arcs

Attached: 1512856605141.png (611x474, 306K)

>caused the death of hundreds of thousands if not uncounted millions
>saved literally nobody aside from Guts a few times
>is "saving" the people from the calamity he hisself caused to further his own power and absolute control over civilization
>accepts only submission, everybody else dies
He's literally worse than Hitler in every respect.
Hitler cared about peoples "education", too, that's what gave us the Hitler Youth. He was big on animal rights too, and things like that, and wanted to save or elevate his people in a harsh world.

What fantastic empires could Berserk have?
>fantasy China with Chinese dragons and terracotta armies

Hitler also had good taste in music and movies, while Griffith's only cultural hobby seems to be the kama sutra.

Everywhere except falconia is being ravaged by monsters and that's caused by griffith. He's larping as a savior to the troubles he caused. Everyone else outside falconia are busting their asses to find a save haven.

As refined as Berserk is in some respects it's interesting to note that "culture" doesn't really appear in it.
We see some results of artistry, but rarely any artist.
Sole exception I can think of is Godot and Rickert, and their craft has a very martial focus still.

>I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.
t. John Adams

While that is a reasonable expression of a central tenet of culture and society it also is rather pragmatic.
Even relatively primitive societies had accomplished artists that dedicated their lives to their craft.
Of course it was more rare since the pool of well-to-do customers able to afford the works of professional craftsmen and artists was smaller than in later times, but modern times are a bad example of the dynamics as well. Who still pays expert craftsmen to create cultural artifacts?
It has always been the ruling classes - even today only a small percentage can afford to think about buying anything genuinely artistic and handmade.

So when is Griffith graduating to being a man of culture?

You can legitimately do DNA analysis on several thousand years old cadavers if they're decently preserved. Analysing 100+ mummies for example told us that Northern/Central Ancient Egyptians were predominantly Semites, closely related to people from Syria or Jordan.

He was already portrayed as a man of culture during Golden Age, as he was pretty much the only "noble" around who was a voracious book reader.

Of course.

Attached: Kama Sutra.png (307x216, 83K)

I normally don't notice these kinds of things, but I felt like that chapter had a lot of copy and pasted faces in it. Everyone just looked weird.

The language was spread due to migrations. The people that migrated were warriors who conquered numerous civilizations and cultures. And yes, modern Indians, modern Europeans, modern Iranians and so on all can be modeled as having some of their ancestry from proto-Indo-Europeans.
In fact, typical Indo-European haplogroups such as R1a-M417 or R1b-M269 are often dominant in every place the Indo-European appeared. This shows that a small amount of men produced children with a big amount of local women.

beer just makes rape better, it's a BOOSTO

To be fair, he pulled out the Kamasutra because Guts was too dumb to understand anything else.

it'd be cooler if the sword broke during the grunbeld fight

I still believe that Griffith-s power exists for as long as people believe on him, and that he needs Falconia more than Falconia needs him. At some point his fantasy play will collapse (I see Rickert rejecting him as an obvious crack on his apparently perfect facade), and it will end with Falconia rejecting him and a massive bloodbath. Only then, Guts will come back and be able to fight him in fairness again.

Loved it

Probably some sort of confederate protectionist system with property taxes

My copy of Grunbeld's novel came today. flipped through some pages and apparently he's hung as fuck and it talks about how his stiffening cock is twice the size of an average adult males. WHY

He be big boy

>They are Branded and as far as we know Branded can't use the Behelit, at least it's never been stated that they can
It's been strongly implied that they can. When Slan captured and tortured Guts in Qliphoth, she baited him to escape his hell by making a sacrifice, like Griffith did. Fortunately Guts had friends to help him escape, and a sword soaked in blood that despises demons.

It has been stated that branded people cannot be sacrificed again, not that they cannot sacrifice others.

Also even if Guts wasn't branded I doubt he would've been a suitable sacrifice when the Count tried to sacrifice him, as the Count didn't know Guts and Guts was trying to kill him. No personal, deep connection.

...and then the question is also
4. Since either Guts or Casca cannot sacrifice the other, who would they have as viable sacrifice?

Guts wanted to be bromance BFF with Griffith, does that count?

Farnese, Serpico, Isidro and the little witch of unpronounceable name. I think Puck also counts.

Miura has stated in numerous interviews that even If he has an rough outline of things, he wings the writing as he goes.

Last interview said it wasn't set in stone until very late that original BotH would die.

What?

Guts doesn't even have to do anything. Griffiths's socialist war economy will cause his empire to collapse on it's own.

Is that Luca's friend Pepe?

Not so long as there is land and people to conquer. Griffith is the Godhand of Desire, after all. The emotionless, coldhearted painted man whose wants can never be sated.

>I doubt he would've been a suitable sacrifice when the Count tried to sacrifice him, as the Count didn't know Guts and Guts was trying to kill him. No personal, deep connection.
Yeah, the godhand say as much during that scene.
What's also interesting is that activating a behelit doesn't necessarily mean there will be a sacrifice, as we saw with the count.
So, it's possible that guts or someone else activates the Behelit in a life-or-death situation and summons the godhand, but refuses the sacrifice (unless we assume that "ordained by fate and causality" = he can't NOT do it).
It would be a way to get Guts and Griffith/femto in the same room without having to travel to falconia, battle all the demons etc.

Attached: 0007-028.png.jpg (1131x1600, 550K)

Well yeah, that's why I originally said that the Behelits are bound by causality and their owners fated to use them, but not necessarily make a sacrifice. Opening the Dragon Path is inevitable, but spilling blood after that is only strongly skewed towards and not guaranteed.

It'd be cool if the behelit was ultimately used for this in the final legs of the Falconia Raid arc

Attached: 1513289903769.png (360x826, 461K)

Blood and Guts! Rip and Tear! Sex and Gore! THIS. IS. BERRRSERRRRKKKK!!!

There were ballroom dances at Wyndham Castle during Golden Age. Other than that, where do you think anyone in this story has time for culture?

You forgot
>griffith sacrifices his city to complete the God Hand’s manifestation in the world bringing about the age of darkness

This, grifis is still a puppet of some dark god who want souls

Would that mark the completion of a cycle like the fall of Gaiseric's empire seemed to be or that legend of a previous God Hand will forever be a plot hole?

The Vortex is so fucking awful because you are shunted straight through to the lowest of astral plains, consciousness intact, alongside all of the other sacrifices. You don’t have the time for sensation and despair to leave you like a normal death, you’re in a perpetual vortex of people suffering just as badly as you and all you can experience is that, forever, unless you can somehow have a goddamned buddhist awakening in there and give up on your sensation.

I have faith that Maiura hasn’t forgotten the obvious cyclical story he was going for.

That's not how the Godhand or IoE work.

We don’t know how the fuck the IoE or the God Hand truly function, but we do know the last “Falconia” was sacrificed to do SOMETHING.

>Mfw the cyclical collapse of society orchestrated by the God Hand is to reset humanity and prevent them for ever advancing to a technological stage where they could self destroy.

Attached: Guts_laughing.png (369x425, 199K)

Truly, the angels are merciful

Attached: 3170154-god_hand.jpg (728x525, 110K)

It's got to be Farnese that does

Weird that they all bore the mark on their forehead though, while the Band had it in various places

When did Griffith became a tranny?

After they literally cut his dick.

We're probably getting something like this if he ever expands Rickert's part

The funny part is that they unironically address some of that shit in this very chapter.

Are we back on hiatus?

I just finished the grunbeld novel. What's the consensus, I don't know how I feel about it.

Kek, good shit

So what happens if Griffith impregnates Charlotte? Would their child be some half apostle demigod?

When I saw the behelit make that worried expression for the first time my asshole became so tight not even a needle could pass through it.

What guts and SK roles in all this?

Ruling is hard. This was maybe my answer to Tolkien, whom, as much as I admire him, I do quibble with. Lord of the Rings had a very medieval philosophy: that if the king was a good man, the land would prosper. We look at real history and it’s not that simple. Tolkien can say that Aragorn became king and reigned for a hundred years, and he was wise and good. But Tolkien doesn’t ask the question: What was Aragorn’s tax policy? Did he maintain a standing army? What did he do in times of flood and famine? And what about all these orcs? By the end of the war, Sauron is gone but all of the orcs aren’t gone – they’re in the mountains. Did Aragorn pursue a policy of systematic genocide and kill them? Even the little baby orcs, in their little orc cradles?

I actually thought that girl on the right was Griffith for a second.

Look at that fucking HURDY GURDY. Can we get a minstrel in Guts' party? He needs a member that plays this absolute godly Jem of an instrument. Hurdy GURDY arc when?

>>Either Casca or Guts uses behelit
Maybe to get the God hand in one place, both would properly die before bowing their heads to those 5.

The part I miss most about berserk is the sexual violence desu.

Refutes the entire canon of the apostlehood ceremony as we know it lmao.
I wanna know who irvine sacrificed/ \

God, Berserk is so shit. Why the fuck can't it be good like Vinland Saga.

How? He burness his loved ones alive.

please no

>you can sacrifice dying, willing participants

literally what is the point of all the evil shtick? Do people who sacrifice in this fashion find it weird that all their coworkers are are demonic hellspawn with 9 ft barbed cocks?

Reverting back into a retard when?

It's the same thing that happens with every series that goes on long hiatuses, the hype builds when nothing is released and the fans turn into nostalgiafags that make newcomers hype it up too. Then when more is finally released it could never live up to the hype. Just look at shit like Hunter x Hunter or even vidya like Duke Nukem and Half-Life

I could swear it had to be against their will, and they had to be healthy. Since the whole point is that its a selfish act befitting of the evil that accompanies the power they'll gain.

No and no. All that's required is to sacrifice a loved one, someone so close as to be a part of themselves, in order to cast off one's own humanity and attain demonhood. Ganiksha sacrificed his son, just after his son tried to assassinate him.

I don't remember unwillingness or healthiness being part of the contract, as far as I know only the apostle willingly sacrificing what they cherish the most is needed.

The son was fair game, so was the counts wife - they were both loved too much to be killed by the behelit-holder, but had committed an unforgivable transgression
But Grunbeld.. its not really a "sacrifice", its mutually beneficial euthanasia.

That's likely the way they saw it, but Grunbeld still lost those two, sacrificed his humanity, and killed them himself. Now their souls have lost their individuality in the vortex of the abyss, screaming forever.

Theres also the case of the Egg Apostle who doesn't have anyone dear to him and just sacrifices the world that he knows in exchange for a new one.

its about what I expected. the whole "the chicks are gonna die soon so you might as well sacrifice em" felt like a massive copout compared to what we've seen of other apostles' sacrifices, but whatever.

Edvard also getting branded was a nice touch, though

He actually sacrificed two things there, his "world", and himself. He's the only Apostle to bear the Brand of Sacrifice, it's on his tongue.

I guess I just invented it because its the only way the apostle system makes sense to me.

So do the "upstanding" apostles know about the shit that usually happens in summoning ceremonies? Did nobody invite them to the eclipse?
I understand how Griffith can fool the humans, but how does he fool people like Grunbeld and presumably Locus and Irvine when they're spending 24/7 hanging out with Wyald-level mob demons?

Attached: x15.png (1447x2110, 1.21M)

They were about a minute away from bleeding out, a vastly different situation from the emperor's son, the count's wife, or the Hawks.

shit, I don't think the whole 'their souls will be tortured in the vortex of souls until all sense of self is lost' was even brought up, the Godhand were just like "Hey dipshit, wanna be a dragon"?

The Godhand lays it all out for them at some point, the Count and Wyald knew about what would happen should they die as apostles.

Aside from that, their only direction is Do as thou wilt, so for the 'good' apostles that means larping as knights, while the 'bad' apostles larp as bandits or what have you.

I mean, Grunbeld may still be an upstanding knightguy but he probably doesn't care since the whole reason he has to still be alive right now is to aid the Hawk of Light.

>Now their souls have lost their individuality in the vortex of the abyss, screaming forever.
That's where all souls probably go anyways.

Attached: x9.jpg (752x1100, 270K)

I imagine that's not entirely true, just for people with damned souls, ones sacrificed, or ones who made deals with the devil. Since there are ethereal beings that love humanity and willingly give their power to protect against evil, there's probably some other plane that like-minded humans end up in instead of the vortex. Like how Slan said that Guts' soul is a perfect match for Qliphoth, so if he died now without the Brand, his soul would likely go to Qliphoth.

So if we assume that the cyclical end world scenario that the legend of the fall of Gaiserics empire suggest is true, what the fuck happens with the God Hand and apostles of the previous cycle?

They are defeated by the first member of the new god hand.
Well, just being alive and living under Griffith's flag could be considered "consorting with demons" now.

perhaps the Godhand sticks around the spirit world in some form, becoming an elemental or some such thing.

I imagine regular apostles just get fucked and sent to the vortex. The godhand haven't really cared about them before.

How is it, that Grundbeld, Irvine and Locus look so human in their human form, unlike all other apostles, but they all require something else, to become an apostel. Grundbelds Dragonhead looks like his helmet, Irvine merges with his bow and Locus merges with his horse. They also behave different.

Speaking of Grundbeld: Does the Novel give any information about Zood and Grundbeld?

>Grundbeld, Irvine and Locus look so human in their human form
Grunbeld is like 15 ft tall.

There's one mention of Locus being really good at jousting, that's it.

Because they're not intended to be seen as the horrible, freakish rape murderers that apostles are, so they are significantly more handsome and cool looking. For the same reason Zodd just looks like a big, badass dude in his human form. Look at Wyald, he looked like an ape in his human form, and the Count lookes kind of gross, but still recognizable as a human.

If we end up getting LN of the other main apostles, will we ever get one on Zodd or he has enough weight in the story to have his backstory included in the manga?

Zodd's pretty important, and he's been there since the Golden Age. I'd bet his backstory will be in the comic right before he dies.

The other knight apostles will probably get their own LNs, assuming Grunbeld's does well enough.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the arc in pic related? Seems like the first thing berserk-related Miura enjoyed drawing in forever.

Attached: x22 (1).png (1120x1600, 489K)

Zodd will just be exactly what Guts would've become if he'd never met Griffith

Everyone liked the flower fairy arc.

Guts is really good looking. He's always been the more handsome of the two between him and Griffith.

I enjoyed it, it's not really an arc, more of a mini bittersweet story that reads fairly quickly.

Man I'm dropping Berserk indefinitely. It's clear it will never finish, and even it does, it won't be as cathartic.

Attached: murder this fuck.jpg (604x452, 124K)

See you next chapter

Who the fuck was this old man? He's got Flora/SK level INT.

Attached: x9.png (881x1294, 321K)

Griffith is literally the Anti-Christ, a demon who pretends to be a savior, herding people to their doom. Even the brand could be a parallel to the mark of the beast.
By the time Guts gets back to land, people are going to be making themselves willingly not knowing the brand marks them as sacrifice for the godhand.

Attached: 78f3Hin[1].jpg (708x1100, 200K)

Griffith is the kind of pretty boy that is beloved in places like Japan or Korea while Guts is more of a handsome square jawed man that is preferred in the west.

Skully didn't notice Boido plotting on him. His INT was high but his PER was shit.

People like to remember the manga for its brutality, but its best moments where always the quiet ones with nature all around the characters.

>"The revelations say that when the sun dies five times, a red lake will appear to the west of the city with a name both new and old. It is proof that the fifth angel will alight. The angel is the Falcon of Darkness. The master of the sinful black sheep, the king of the blind white sheep. The one who shall call upon the world an age of darkness."

>Knows about Hawk of Light
>Knows Hawk of Light is God Hand
>Knows about God Hand
>Foresees the New Band of the Hawk

Is he a Chekhov's nuke or just a one off?

>Guts ushers in age of darkness by killing Griffith
>Prophecy technically true

That part, while set in Guts's youth, was made far after most of that had happened in the present story of the manga.

Pretty mediocre, especially compared to the other apostles/Griffith's backstories.

Yes, that's why I'm saying the words that I'm saying; that a character with so much foreknowledge appearing in an apparent non-sequitur would not be important to the story Miura has storyboarded. user-kun..

Guts is just a murderer.

>chapters
SK.net has an extremely autistic admin (Aaz) who is completely unable to hear out other opinions or to resist replying to threads where people have already basically shared the same opinion as him, but what can you expect from a Frenchman? Skullcast is a bit overlong per episode for the amount of stuff there really is to discuss with this series, but it's harmless.

honestly, i prefer talking about Berserk on SK.net where people have bothered to read the series instead of just whining about GRIFFITSU CHAPTELLU. like if you just take two fucking seconds to reread Volume 40 and the last few Griff episodes, the pacing of the story is the same as it's been since the Golden Age. and like look at this thread - so many people clearly just don't understand the themes of this manga and wanna run their fantheories about how it'll end with a shonen ending when Miura has gone on record shit talking shonen. fuck, there's people here who like the Grunbeld book.

but i do agree that Miura's production level makes little to no sense, especially when you get an episode like this one where the artwork seems less complicated (and i agree, lower quality) than the last few episodes and the story is like not super dense or interesting. it's like classic evil benevolent dictator -> reveal Miura has planned forever. i don't see why this didn't come out eight months ago BEFORE he took a hiatus. Volume 40 would have been closer to the actual length of other volumes and would have ended on a fantastic cliffhanger instead of a random fucking stopping off point.

sexual violence in Berserk is handled much differently than it is in the passages walter's been posting from the novel. if you can't see that, then you're not really understanding the manga. sexual violence surely is leaned on a bit heavily, particularly early on, but Miura does his best to make it serve a purpose and even some (trigger warning) feminist bloggers have outlined how weirdly progressive and subtle Miura's handle of rape plots is

if comic relief Puck is gonna use it, you might as well just go with Manifico. he's served almost no purpose besides comic relief and is the only part of Guts's party with real resentments and little emotional depth.

i think the best choice would be Schierke or Farnese, but neither one of them has a clear enough route to take to it since their character progression has made them so much more bound to their friends.

i think we're most likely to see one of the Elfhelm mage/witches use it, maybe that one teenage witch who yearns for the outside world (kind of a Griffith vibe) or Sonia if she follows Griffith to Elfhelm and is pissed enough about his Charlotte affair

Dark fantasy rape era of manga was super good. Vampire Hunter D, Bastard, Angel Sanctuary.

Berserk has an entire arc critiquing those who would follow the great civilizing mechanism of the medieval period, the church. Miura doesn't think civilization makes humans less corrupted and violent. he is clearly influenced by Nietzsche. the fucking whole series is about struggling against following leaders like the Hawk of Light and the church. like holy fuck it's wild watching Pinker Diamond plebs throw off their high school reading list to try to explain this series lmao

Ah, the the days of the morally questionable boner!

So Miura clearly didn't draw the previous 3 chapters, did he draw the Inside Casca's Mind part tho? Scans are shit I can't really tell.

Hobbes is like the only person anyone ever remembers from HS because his name is silly. I remember Voltaire though because he though Africans were subhuman.

Guts specifically asked Flora if he could use it to summon the Godhand and she was like "nah dude sorry hope it's not yours but you're just carrying it to its eventual user." if Guts suddenly got some opportunity to just like ring up the Godhand with it, the entire mystery around it would have been stupid

He did. He is just using tablets to draw, now.

unclear. when Miura is not on hiatus, he skips one issue at a time. with Golden Week double issue this last week, the next issue of Young Animal doesn't come out until May. Berserk typically gets slotted for the end of the month, so if he's off hiatus right now, we can expect the weird scheduling to make him skip two issues and release end of June. if there isn't an announcement of more Berserk for end of June, then we're officially on a hiatus. but for the past four or five years, Miura has come off of hiatus and at least provided 5-7 episodes a year. i forget where i read it, but it seems that he's under contract to have an average of one volume a year release at this point.

everyone liked these episodes, but you have to be a massive nostalgiafag to think Miura particularly enjoyed drawing it over anything else recent. the extreme amount of detail in the arrival in Elfhelm, the Casca dream sequence, and Jotunn episodes shows that he really gives a shit about this series.

but i admit the new episode feels a bit phoned in artistically and makes me wonder why it wasn't released sooner.

i like them, too, but i really think that starting with Golden Age Arc, Miura was (trigger warning again) subverting the genre's tropes while profiting from them rather than doing the kind of edgelord shit the novel does

No, he's been doing that for awhile. The last 3 were completely different people emulating his style while drawing over 3D renders. Its really apparent when you look at Griffith's armor in particular, and how stiff it is.

I think at this point, that Miura would just cancel Berserk at all, if they would tell him to bring out more chapters every year, because he just hates it himself.

I really liked Casca's dream sequence, and the whole fight. Dream-Guts surviving to the end to see his charge repaired and his burden lifted was one of my favorite recent moments. Good dog.

does anyone else think the scans of the new episode seem weirdly washed out compared to the last several episodes? it might be an artistic choice for being in Falconia itself, but Elfhelm is also a pretty chill place, and it's not drawn with like unsharpened pencil

i don't think miura hates the manga, but i also think if they made him do more than 5-7 episodes a year that he'd probably rush to an ending. arguably, he's currently kind of rushing the ending. we'll have Griffith's body in Elfhelm, and it would be super easy to have the moon in time-out-of-sync land be different than it is in the real world, to have Sonia follow him, and for the final arc of the series initiated by some major Griffith Guts duel, as he's alluded to in interviews.

I say he enjoyed it because it seems unnecessary and doesn't feel rushed but he doesn't even draw chapter that are necessary without some kind of pacing issue.
>he extreme amount of detail in the arrival in Elfhelm, the Casca dream sequence, and Jotunn episodes shows that he really gives a shit about this series.
Or that he has had 3 years to work on them

it felt like a seven (? i forget how long it was) episode love letter to Casca and the Golden Age while also showing off how much Miura's changed the focus of the series. i thought it was completely magical as a sequence and is probably the highlight of the series for me, even beating out Eclipse or Femto's incarnation as Griffith at the end of Conviction.

Progressive tax system with 5 income brackets and a modest sales tax with no VAT. Non interventionist central bank and a gold standard rather than a floating fiat currency.

>3 years to work on them
yeah, no shit, but if he didn't care about the series, he could easily take the same hiatuses that he has been and play idolmaster or whatever the meme is and then just turn in a bunch of episodes with single character on white background dialogue panels and random big sound effect Guts swings sword two-page spreads and have tons of time off.

Or he could just completely stop working on it. That's an optiom he could employ.

>gold standard
Griffith's plans are not going to be funded by the random treasure that a bunch of three day old ogres accrued at the edge of the world. fiat currency supported by "do you ever wanna see your dead loved ones ascend" is clearly the way this is gonna go.

I loved it too, sadly what always comes to mind when I think about it is pic related.

Attached: Schlongmen.png (1067x690, 865K)

I didn't care for it, it seemed too goofy. Maybe if it were Guts inside her memory instead of Farnese and we got some emotional reflection on those days as current Guts, but really it was just two girls cucking themselves in a forest of penises.
It felt like watching Twitter influencers livetweet the first 10 tanks

Attached: x12.png (2249x1600, 1.78M)

I feel like both it and the Imitation Eclipse are sort of tests again for Guts and his party to survive in Fantasia. The Band of the Hawk crumbled and perished, they fought like they were fighting humans and were ripped apart and devoured. Even Guts and Casca would've been killed had Gaiseric not rescued them. But the Imitation Eclipse showed how much Guts has changed, and how he managed to survive it under his own power, and not by borrowed divine intervention.

Then Casca's dream showed how Farnese and Schierke can survive too, using their magic and the bonds that bring forth that magic to beat back Casca's hellish memories of those events, while staying in one mental piece. Farnese especially, who had her own divine intervention during the Imitation Eclipse in Guts, now has grown enough to fight by herself, and her magical fetishes are critical in completing their journey and healing Casca. Guts has some good friends now.

He also fucked his best friend mom

yeah, sure. what's your point? he hasn't stopped working on it entirely, and he hasn't had a dip in artistic or narrative quality, as much as people act like he has 'cause they don't reread recent episodes before new ones come out to get a feel for how the pacing of the story works. that indicates to me that it's still a labor of love for him but that he does it extremely slowly. might not be clear, but i have criticized him in this thread for how long this particular episode took to come out when the art seems to be a bit less spectacular than the previous Griffith episodes and the story, while interesting, is nowhere near original enough to convince me that it needed extensive storyboarding.

i mean, the penis monsters are a bit too on the nose, but there's been volumes and volumes of explanation for why Guts couldn't go in. i respect Miura for not just entirely changing the Guts and Casca dynamic last second to satisfy fanservice for people who haven't bothered to re-read the series between releases and so forget how the story works.

i was so busy tearing up to the Casca callbacks that i didn't even really actively think through the Farnese/Schierke dynamic (besides the obvious like sad harem bit lol) but this is an awesome point that i appreciate you pointing out.

the imitation lasted minutes and wasn't hard to survive at all

sure, the Godhand didn't show up and throw every apostle in the world at Guts, but it was hardly a simple matter.

It lasted the entire night, and only ended at sunrise. The important thing is they understood the threat, Guts knew how to overcome it, and they did not falter or succumb to despair and took initiative to outlast it. As Guts said, if you're praying your hands are clasped shut instead of grasping the torch to literally fend off the night. That's why they survived.

But without Guts I'm not getting anything out of it that I couldn't get just rereading the Golden Age (which I already periodically do every new chapter).
Sure Schrieke and Farnese get some new knowledge and development but Miura didn't really effectively depict the years~ passage of time that they were supposed to have experienced, and all that stuff could've been learned if Guts wasn't emo and talked about his past once in awhile (which probably would've been more emotionally satisfying too, since it would mean Guts was being forthcoming entrusting his past to his new companions).

Did SK doki doki?

Attached: x10 (2).jpg (740x1100, 260K)

She's gonna end up being really really important.

Guts doesn't really like to be forthcoming about his past unless it's necessary. It's like when he walked through Vritannis and was noting all the recruiting merc groups, for him that was effectively a lifetime ago. He's a demon hunter now, not a merc anymore. His changing perception of the world and tenacity in adapting to new threats expanded his awareness and made him into who he is. He didn't die in the Eclipse. He didn't give into his bloodlust and become the Beast of Darkness during Black Swordsman/Conviction/Lost Children. He's the Branded Swordsman, he who protects the Branded Girl. He stood on a flying minotaur and cut lightning itself. He's still alive, still struggling.

>muh Falconiazuela
Sorry /pol/, not CIA in Berserk

Attached: 1555404461265.png (559x373, 269K)

Yeah it'd still be satisfying for him to open up once in awhile, I'm tired of the "100-man slayer is my idol desu!" Isidro gag.

I think Guts as he is now would do alright during the Eclipse. The only problem is the Godhand are there. And there is no way out unless you're Skully.

if Guts had been there, it would have been a nostalgia trip. we know how Guts feels about those experiences. we got snippets of the Golden Age Arc from Casca's perspective that were emotive, effective, and appropriately brief. it was a callback sequence with some important NEW development.

throwing Guts in would have ruined Guts's arc with Casca that has been building for VOLUMES (and is unresolved, by the way - we'll surely obviously get interactions between them about all this soon-ish in terms of episode count if not irl time) for fanservice. what you're saying about re-reading the Golden Age is what i would say would be worth doing if you really care so much about Guts and Casca sharing those memories at that point. Casca's character feared and loathed Guts for many, many volumes. Guts abandoned her for two years and then harmed her within like days or weeks of leaving Godo's. he can't just go waltzing into her memories and fight a big Falcon and go on an item collection quest for ceramic shards. Farnese and Casca have an extremely intimate bond that got developed, as did Schierke and Farnese's bond, as did Casca's character on her own terms and without the implicit interpretation of Guts. it was wonderfully handled.

SK is old Femto
Guts will be new Void
nuFemto will become nuSK

he regularly, explicitly thanks Farnese and Schierke for their contributions to his cause and bonds with them on their terms. the pacing of the story would get so weird if we had extended sequences of him sitting there and narrating a story we've all read and seen ten million times by now. while you're doing these GA re-reads, you should re-read the past several arcs. there's lots of opening up and developing in the Guts-Farnese and Guts-Schierke interactions that i feel like you're skimming over because you wanna skip over them and have Guts-Casca back in frame. we all want that, but it would be so cheap and nonsensical with how the story has gone for that to be where Miura immediately hopped with that.

i think that SK is old Femto and Guts will be given a choice to be new Void, but the main theme of the story is breaking causality. Guts and SK clearly have a relationship of mutual respect, but it's foreboding and warning from SK always. Guts is going to break the laws of causality as he has from the very beginning of the story by NOT becoming a new member of the Godhand. he will choose Casca and his son over ultimate power and revenge.

Fucking lol

>if Guts had been there, it would have been a nostalgia trip

Not really. So much of the black swordsman time has been focused on babysitting Casca and revenge, we have no idea how Guts views the events of his life, whether or not he's filled with regret.
Its been awhile since he's larped Musashi Miyamoto too.

Attached: x15 (2).jpg (735x1100, 236K)

>the main theme of the story is breaking causality
Nobody tell him its the opposite
youtube.com/watch?v=U4ThPAW5sd0

Guts regrets nothing. He's lived a good life in terrible circumstances.

It's not about breaking or sustaining causality. It's about the question of whether you can break causality. We don't know the answer to that video's question yet, and we probably won't know until we reach the end of the manga.

I didn't expect this arc to make me cry

What if Schnoz is actually Guts' soul from the future?

Attached: schnoz.png (124x161, 15K)

Just look at this dude. What's his endgame? And what did the snail-with-legs apostle sacrifice?

I'm not saying Miura agrees with him, I'm saying he's clearly influenced by him.

>Miura doesn't think civilization makes humans less corrupted and violent
It's not so much about what Miura thinks, but rather what characters from Berserk think. The entire Conviction Arc is about a Hobbian world and how the system created by humans while still corrupted is better than the state of anarchy and constant fear.
This view was the main reason why the Egg Apostle decided to sacrifice his life and his world for a new better one (a system that is not corrupted and gives people hope).
Guts is a struggler, but his way of life clearly can't create a functional system. Griffith is the light in the darkness all people desired.

All this will end in is Femto having the perfect setup to annihilate basically all of humanity with the godhand.

And what would be the benefit in doing so?

All the bags in the world would be his.

The fiend!

Why does the manga say that Guts has a strong connection to elves?
Is he secretly an overgrown half-elf?

Well his ears are awfully pointy.

KILL Griffith, godhand and idea of evil. That’s how guts wins

Most people never meet elves and he's met 3, possibly 4, the first of which was before the eclipse.

Not gonna happen. The only way to stop the Idea is to radically change mankind

Did Guts get raped by a big black woman in this version?

You forgot Puck

I've been wondering about this.
Not many characters have these pointy ears. I remember only Griffith and Guts.

theory
>either his mother or actual father was of elf heritage

Schedule? What the hell are you talking about? There's no such thing as a schedule for berserk

That's one statue you can hot glue with a clear conscience.

If I scratch Zodd behind the ears, what happens?

No, not really. I always cringe a bit at the sight of all these carbon copy BGs featuring Guts in that pose wearing the Berserker armour.

If you fuck up Griffith in his human form, which should be reasonably doable, does Femto die with him, or does he come out of him?

Femto is pretty fucking evil, as are all God Hand. Does Femto exist outside of the world and only provides an aspect of Griffith, or is he in him?

Basically what I'm saying, is what the fuck.

Start shaking his back leg most like

These are fucking awesome but the price is insane too
>$2600 for Zodd

Well then you're fucked because that's all I got and nobody else will spoonfeed you.

If Casca uses the behelit and sacrifices the moon child, does Femto die?

No but he'll lose his body and will be forced to hang out with the other Godhand dudes wherever it is they spend their time fucking Slan.

Haven't read bleach, what does it imply?

Guts gets married, has kids and gets a bad haircut.

Sheesh. Its like Date Eiji in Hajime no Ippo

dude wasnt even 30 yet they made him look 40+

Let's say you have 30 chapters for the final arc. You dedicate 29 chapters for the useless filler fights and other uninteresting shit, while you kill the big bad in the last 3 pages of the final chapter by some asspull and no build up.

Femto is just Griffith's Godhand name, he became an incorporeal pseudogod then reincarnated back into a corporeal being while still being a pseudogod, Griffith/Femto is a single individual not counting moon child
They must be able to die since they avoid taking damage but.we don't fucking know what happens then.

>reasonably doable
lol
>does Femto die with him
Post-merge, probably
>Does Femto exist outside of the world
Femto is Griffith

I've also searched around for volume 38, but couldn'r find it yet.

Alright it's time to predict the most likely outcome:

(1) Casca is overcome by despair at her memories and kills herself
(2) Casca is overcome by despair at her memories and refuses to leave Elf Island while she copes
(3) Casca is overcome by despair at her memories and abandons Guts to go off on her own revenge quest, never to be seen again
(4) Casca is not overcome by despair, but Guts makes her stay on Elf Island out of concern for her safety
(5) Casca is not overcome by despair and Guts cannot stop her from accompanying them on their adventures due to not wanting to be separated again
(6) Griffith invades Elf Island and kills everybody except Guts so it doesnt matter

If you're willing to stop reading completely until we get some closure, the end of the conviction arc (end of volume 21) seems like a good place to stop.

No. He's just hanging out with his pals Inoue, Togashi and Hiragawa, playing video games, drinking beer and mocking the world.

Mangakas don't

How many have drifted away in eternal slumber while longing for the ending?

I stopped at the mud golems at the witch's house. It's almost unavoidable to not get spoiled without an iron will, I've read about how it goes downhill blah blah blah. It's not a hard stop by any means, just haven't really pushed forward.

Counterpoint: Takao Saito.

>He's going to finish it
Unless he gets sick with the deadly japanese cold

There's no rule against it, as far as we know.

>Casca activates the beherit

>Griffith laughs it off, says she can't do that
>"ackhyually", Void pulls a giant necronomicon ex mortis looking book and skims through it "there's no rule against it"

>dude torture lmao

It would be like a reverse of the eclipse, all the apostles helplessly being ripped apart by a force far more powerful than them.

Would Casca using the Behelit be the only thing that could redeem nuBerserk?

Berserk is the same as it ever was, child.

wait...can Guts read?

Probably not.

>paying $700 for Isidro
fuckin why

Fuck no it isnt

This
Berserk used to be so cool and edgy
Now it's literally a shojo manga
Miura never said he'd do this to me

I don't mind the Griffith chapters at all, the problem is the god damn jrpg party that Guts gathered, all of them need to fuck off and get raped by trolls or something. Bring back old Puck, get rid of shits like Isidro or Schierke.

One of the earliest interviews is actually him saying berserk is a shoujo

This, Guts can't have friends I don't have friends they suck who needs them wish Caska died too she's just like Veronica she's useless and ugly

>berserk is a shoujo
Not with all the monster rape it isnt

Fuck off shojo is for little girls Berserk is manly manga MANga for men like me MGTOW the manga fuck you

Attached: 1412649038144.jpg (2480x3156, 2.56M)

Not according to Miura.

Guts could have friends that aren't just moeblobs for comedy purposes, that's why I said bring back old Puck who questioned Guts' morality in the important moments. Farnese and Serpico can stay too as long as Farnese matures into her own character as well.

He wanted to incorporate aspects of both, though there hasn't been as much feelsy stuff after the eclipse

Who would Sonia even sacrifice? Seems like the only person she really cares about to the point where they were be valid as a sacrifice is Griffith.

>No option where Guts gets Isekai'd to the IdolM@ster world to become the world's greatest producer

Attached: 1490235677129.jpg (758x1100, 270K)

All these frontal lobe and many other parts brainlets who will never touch on the philosophical and spiritual concept of Divinity of Kings if not thoroughly instructed despite it being right in front of you.

Seizing destiny, the present, world, this manga is among other things but primarily the question "What is action, to act, and when & where does my spirit, my true selves will, trample upon that of others - And, is it right to do so, for the greater good?"

>to become a demon in order to become a God

Attached: shiny cut - tiny enlightenment.jpg (1858x1117, 773K)

So does Griffith SHARE the body with the moonchild or is he just the moonchild?
Like sentient wise. Is he just pretending to be a little boy so he can hang out with guts and casca? Is griffith still conscious in there?

Attached: 1536660170688.jpg (1350x1080, 123K)

...holy fuck that is so hot, saved.

Well, He never showed interest in the magic of friendship
He needed a party to look after Casca, but now that she's sane, he might dump them and go back to Griffith-hunting by himself

Luca's a FUCKING COMMIE

when is slan gonna betray the GH and join the harem?

Exceot he didn't, he left before it got to that point. Did you even read it nigga?

Did you speed read or do you have such severe autism you can pick up on human emotions even in a manga?

Attached: x22 (2).png (1455x2108, 1.22M)

Never

i ordered the RAH Golden Age guts figure, have you guys ordered any merch from it lately?

I think it'd be nonsensical if he was was actually larping.
It'd pretty much eliminate any chance of Guts killing Griffith or Griffith killing Guts.

Is this scan implying he does care? State your business, i'm not a mindreader

After the last chapter I'd say Griffith is almost certainly the moonchild, therefore killing him might either kill both or simply rid Griffith of his flesh vessel.

I couldn't find an explicit scene (at first), but that scan is Guts acting all tsun about Farnese begrudgingly leaving the party.

But here's a spoonfeed, as close as you can come to hearing "I care about them" from Guts himself.

If i recall correctly, that scene was about distrusting the offer Farnece's fiancee.

About the second scan: how many times have we seen people who should care for their "comrades" abandon them?

This constitutes a part of your argument, but still doesn't imply that he wouldn't leave them like when he left the Hawks to achieve his personal goal.

>hat scene was about distrusting the offer Farnece's fiancee.
? It was about Farnese sacrificing her happiness for the Gut's goals

>It was about Farnese sacrificing her happiness for the Gut's goals
Perhaps so, but he called it fishy as someone who doesn't trust in the magic of friendship would.
Also, when a demonic beast inside you is telling you to value or treasure your companions, you're not really a believer in the magic of friendship (especially when the demon is actually your own subconscious).

>There are still people that believe Guts is obsessed with revenge
Obsessed, no, he tamed his obsession by taming the rage inside of him and it made him able to safely bring his companions (especially Casca) to the island.
However, Casca is on the island right now, so nothing is holding him back to continue his quest for revenge. The need or reason to restrain himself is over and he can now fully unleash his beast in battle and now that i think of it, the fully unleashed Guts is one of the few things that could actually kill Griffith

Literally who wants Guts to end up with Shierke

>Griffith will build his empire
>Will actually, in a way, make a world a better place

That has been his track record so far, he ended the hundred year war and stopped the Kushans from conquering Berserk Europe

>Not many will know or give a fuck that he was the cause for all the fantasia shit-fest except Guts & Co.
Probably, his followers have already accepted the apostles, if they learned he caused the astral blast, would they really abandon him if it's what they desired on a subconscious level?

>Guts vs. the world v3.0
>Either Casca or Guts uses behelit

Neither Guts nor Casca can use the behilit, since the branded cannot be sacrificed twice and the God Hand won't give up one of their own, also to become an apostle means you cannot oppose the God Hand, Ganishka is a prime example of this.

Even if the Moonlight Boy is killed, the four other God Hand members still exist, the story can't realistically be resolved while they still live.

Miura, Schierke
Guts's battle potential is tied at the hip to his loli witch, and there's no way she'd be up for a suicidal revenge quest, and Guts knows this and wouldn't ask her to accompany. Guts also isn't mentally retarded so he wouldn't fight high-tier apostles without her. There's basically only one set of circumstances that will set Guts and Schierke on a path of revenge : the death of their companions.
Yea Forums's catalog when Casca gets killed will be a historic screencap

>Neither Guts nor Casca can use the behilit,
They can use it to summon them to the physical world.

Attached: auuuhhhhhh.jpg (736x552, 98K)

>Guts's battle potential is tied at the hip to his loli witch
To keep him from going berserk and to heal him afterwards, yes

>Guts also isn't mentally retarded so he wouldn't fight high-tier apostles without her.
He's also the type to fight by himself instead of putting his friends in danger, engage in high-risk battles and to abandon his comrades to achieve his goals.
It could go both ways, but the "Guts won't fight" is by far the worst option.
Another option would be to bring the final battle to the Island and have a big orgy of powers, but we've just had that last chapter, so there must be another journey or a real outstanding battle before we get an rushed disappointment.

>Guts and Schierke on a path of revenge
Well, the old witch did tell her to follow him, so we won't get rid of her easily. Also, she already has her reason to murder Griffith, because he ordered the death of her teacher

Luca is best girl.

What will Yea Forums's catalog look like when Casca activates the Behelit?

Full with it.

it's her motto not to say anything

Attached: 1531764087329.png (485x171, 137K)

She said that Griffith was better in bed

Can't wait for it to take 7 years before we return to Guts and co.

t. Person who stopped reading after Lost Children.

Guts isn't interested in revenge at the sake of his friends.

Attached: OHOHOHOHOHO.jpg (800x1163, 147K)

He will leave them or the battle will come to him after which he'd still have to leave if he wants his companions to be able to have peace.
Either way, the battle shall continue for laws of causality demand it
