Not gonna lie, kimetsu’s story isn’t that special, and the pacing can definitely get weird at times. The strongest part is probably the fights. If we ever get ufotable again for a second season with the same quality, the best fights are going to be there

I think they anime is well made, but this is one of the weakest opening arcs i've ever seen, i'm not too invested in anything yet.

I read a bit of the manga, and things get more fun once they start to introduce a few characters, but even then the plot is devoid and any real hook, there's no grand plot here.

Is it pretty generic? Yes, but its well done for what it is. There is nothing inherently bad about Shounen in the same way there's nothing bad about an action movie. Its less about if they're unique and more about if they're well made.

I really like the animation and effects. It's a nice change of pace.

She's not a zombie per say, she's more like a child. The mouth bit is there just in case, since demons that aren't ravenous, flesh eating monsters are pretty much unheard of by the larger society. She has a mind of her own and can act under her own willpower, it's just she doesn't speak and is very simple minded in how she acts if she's not fighting, like a child.

The start of the series is the MC, Tanjiro, leaves his home and his family one day to sell charcoal in the nearby village, and when he comes back, his entire family save his sister Nezuko was slaughtered by a demon. Nezuko survived, but was turned into a demon, and is now emotionally stunted, but seems to retain her human emotions and thought.

the beginning arc kinda boring which most KnY fan agree on that. turning his sister back is still the end goal but it shifts a little bit to get blood sample from strong demon to develop the serum + beat the big bad boss. so you can say the story is kind of generic and straightforward. what really keeps this serie alive is the casts and their interaction. if you are patience enough and want to give this serie a try I recommend you to read the manga up to drum demon or spider arc.

Even though the little sister is still kinda underdeveloped for plot reasons, the sibling bond is one of the main theme of the manga. The MC is the nicest guy ever, but god have mercy on you if you dare to hurt his sister, or call her ugly.

We don't really know, somehow Muzan got his blood into Nezuko, but if he did it on purpose or was somehow hurt hasn't been revealed yet

IIRC Tanjiro promised that he'd kill her himself if she ever ate a human, and Tanjiro is a man of his word.

Literally nothing, she sleeps a lot instead. Demons don't technically need to eat. Eating humans is just an overpowering urge and it makes them stronger.

Currently there are four good demons counting Nezuko, though the other three need a small amount of blood to sustain them, but less then you would give at a blood drive.

There's no half demons, you're either human or a demon. Also, there will be two major characters who are like Nezuko and will help Tanjirou to help him to recover her humanity.

There was no power of friendship or screaming to get stronger.

Early part of the manga is super rushed, but it does have its fair share of emotional development. In fact, I would say the manga does a good job making readers emotionally invested in its characters considering how fast paced it is.

The fights peaked at Akaza-Rengoku and Gyuutatou-Tengen, Rengoku was obliterated and Tengen had to sacrifice a whole lot to give Tanjirou the chance to cut off his head. After that the other two upper moons are beat without any significant damage done.
The twists are also getting predictable, Tengen will probably fight a demonized version of his shinobi brother just like Zenitsu.

They extended the fight by quite a bit, it was a lot shorter and yes, it was to easy but tbf the manga needed like 10 to 15 chapters to really find its own style.

I'll add that the powerups are (usually) the logical extensions of stuff that was already established, like when Tanjiro can use Dance of the Fire God and breath of water, and he uses both simultaneously. or when Nezuko combines her burning blood with Tanjiro's sword. They almost never come out of nowhere, with one real exception.

Also, the powerups usually don't win fights singlehandedly. In the best battles, the demon hunters have to push themselves to the absolute brink of death just to win, even with the marks or whatever. This wasn't true of the village arc, but that at least FELT like a miracle, and it's clear from the current arc that shit's gonna get worse before it gets better for the good guys.

Not sure if you're serious, but it's exactly what happened every arc. Lots of background character deaths are shown on screen in gruesome details. I think its' great that no matter how hard Tanjrou and co, tries, they can't save everyone.
