The vagueness is part of the charm. The revues don't really make sense from a physical stand-point: there's no way a Giraffe built a giant stage underneath Seisho and can somehow control everything by himself, and yet it just werks. You just have to accept the blurring lines between the reality and the fantastic. I really don't think you'd benefit from having anything explained to you. When I watched this, I knew that I don't get it either but I love it.

More than I expected to from what I heard of it. Suzu was as cute as expected, Koharu was less of a "top star" and more of a "polite autist," and Hisame was a bitch who needed her throat slit by Nana or maybe Junna. Yakumo-sensei was still the best though. Her look of smug self-satisfaction, her badass gymnastics, her boots. They made great villains and were great singers. Hope their version of Star Divine gets subbed one day.
