It seems only now did Kadota realize that Chihiro was never dating Yugami.
So it's the end of the school year, and the third year baseball seniors no longer have any exams, so they organized a friendly match with the current club. Since the seniors are rusty, the rest of the club was supposed to go easy on them but Yugami is not very willing...
Fortunately(?) this particular senior was insulted by the obvious match throwing yugami was doing, so he loudly asked him to go all out because he though he could get on a hit on Yugami.
Might was well forfeit the match, really.
Meanwhile the eternally optimistic former captain seems to consider having a though match proof that yugami respects them, or something.
I missed the Yugami thread just as it archived.

To close off the volume, we get to see how yugami is like when dealing with his younger relatives.

It's more like he believes in though love, he will be fair but won't pamper anyone.
Here I'm not sure what he is talking about, but I think he's trying to make sure the stray cat they found won't stay in his house (it went to the cousin).
End of volume 9
We move on to volume 10, which mainly features Hayashiyama trying to date Chihiro. In universe, chapter 47 happens about one year before chapter 80, on graduation day.
Chihiro is alone, once again.
RIP Yugami's personal space
Hayashiyama is basically asking Yugami to deliver a love letter to Chihiro in his behalf, but Yugami is not willing to do it due to a previous bad experience.
Guess doing what hayashiyama wants is worth it to get rid of him.
Not entirely sure what the two elders are arguing about, but I believe they are negotiating for Yugami's cousin to stay temporarily in Yugami's house.
At first, Chihiro thinks the letter is from Yugami, but she will realize the error soon enough...

What basically happened here is that Yugami decided to take back the letter from Chihiro before she could read it all. Can't tell you why he did it, but something about not burdering her?
And this is the end of chapter 47, and my posting today. While the affair is not settled, the next couple of chapters changes course and focus on the first year students arriving at school being recruited to the clubs.
