Berzerk

Is it possible to even take this shit seriously anymore

Attached: IMG_20190429_091730.jpg (992x482, 132K)

Fuk no.
You're literally just reading it now for the memes.

Beautiful girl.

The idolfag has lost the plot

It's worse than souma right now

One good chapter and you are all gonna suck his dick again
We have danced this dance for decades now. Its hilarious.

I really have no idea where he wants to take this manga if anywhere at all

Did he turn into a girl? Really?

Griffith was always meant to be a cute girl. Miura has just stopped resisting the inevitable.

Attached: Frikka_Manga.png (300x400, 85K)

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a meme.

Attached: 1844407.jpg (1080x777, 211K)

It feels like he wants golden age part 2 but more happy go lucky

What the fuck happened to Griffith's face?

Did anyone else get bored reading this new chapter?

I skipped 90% of the dialogue, might go back sometime

>he doesnt know griffisu is tranny

On the contrary. It was a very entertaining chapter.

Seems like a plot and lore heavy chapter which requires being familiar with all that shit and I am honestly kind of out and need to reread some before I read this one.

What went so wrong?

Attached: tumblr_filename.jpg (523x523, 114K)

I only care about the guts/caska continuation or that little fag who slapped griffith and hangs around assassins.

Nothing. I think Miura using digital tools (obviously copypasting characters into drawn backdrop is by far the worst thing about modern Berserk. I hope he won't do this for big "epic" two-page spreads. This chapter lacked such scenes.

too bad you aint a nip and can tell the guy in his lazy face that he FUCKING SUCKS ASS
if I were a nip I would buy this realease, wipe my ass with every page and cover his GODDAMNED WINDOWS

Compared to any other series that disappointed me Berserk is consistently good.

Leaked preview of the next chapter
Miura doesn't care anymore does he?

I stopped taking this seriously from when Schierke was introduced as a character.
Today berserk is just another generic shonen.

No shonen would end the Griffith and Ganishka battle in a way Berserk ended it.

One Peice did at Marineford

Looks like a blow up doll.

No, there is nothing comparable to this, or at least I don't know anything similar. Maybe End of Evangelion, but it was quite different.

So no one talking about the reveal that Griffith turns into Guts/Casca's abortion baby during the full moon?

Yes. It was an entire chapter of talking where they just spend their time going 'Okay we need to make a new Empire and we're going to educate people and such."

Literally the only two actually relevant panels were Griffith saying "I want to build a new Empire for humans" and his disappearing at the end. Nothing else is important.

We know how the industrial revolution works.
We know that Sonia or whatever isjealous of Charlotte.
We know Griffith bones Charlotte.

We've been waiting months on something that has literally no tension all for the reveal of the already fucking obvious 'Griffith wants a new empire". Since we cut away from FUCKING CASCA SEEING GUTS AGAIN AFTER GETTING HER FUCKING MEMORIES BACK AND SCREAMING, the only thing that has potentially mattered is he disappears into the tree, where the black haired child of Casca and Guts is.

You could have just made all of these chapters pointless by showing the roadwats being built with dead crucified monsters lining it, give a little exposition, cut to Griffith sleeping with Charlotte and going into the tree.

Christ.

Casca hasn't been relevant for 20 years. Who cares.

The shift in One Piece's setting was as fundamental, if not more fundamental, compared to the time skip. Berserk is a character story that has always had weaker world building than OP but way better characters.

It's obvious Miura is building up to either 'will Guts kill Griffith and doom humanity to the Godhand descending/the perils of the monsters or will he let his rage go' or 'can Guts stop Griffith before he sacrifices the entire empire?"

Berserk is less than a shounen these days. Shounens are exciting.

Chapter was important because it foreshadows the Gaiseric arc and a timeskip.

>Berserk is a character story that has always had weaker world building than OP
How much of a brainlet do you have to be to actually believe that?

>has always had weaker world building than OP
This is just retarded. Just because wan piss has 3 times as many chapters and has crammed more shit in them, it doesn't mean the worldbuilding is better, there's just more of it.

I just want to see Guts avenge Casca by raping Griffith.

I think it has been fine for a while. Ganeshka and the Sea God chapters are the low-point so far.

Hrt, he posts on /r9k/ now UwU

I liked it

It's not rape if he likes it, but then again Casca liked it too, in a way.

Kinda, the two pages at the end shocked me though.

So Miura has moved from Idolmaster to Europa univeralis?

I would say its more crusader kings

so is there going to be another chapter next month or what?

Berserk always has a more renaissance setting, which I like because despite liking DQ I hate the anachronistic and non-historic aesthetics of Japanese fantasy. I literally cannot watch stuff like Re;Zero because of it, though Isekai is bad anyway.

Griffith seems pretty shit at economics. He's ordering all these gigantic state-run programs without giving any sources of funding. He's getting by at the moment by running a war-economy and plundering his enemies, but that's a temporary solution. Eventually he's going to have to hike up taxes and face an angry populace. I'm not sure if these are meant to be real flaws in his plans or Miura simply doesn't know much about statecraft.

Why is his face so fucking wide? He looks like a retarded goldfish.

Griffith has an army of demons. He doesn't need public consent.

It was common conjecture, so there's not much to say beyond "oh, i was right" or "darn, i was wrong" that hasn't been said years ago.

Its true tho

>comparing one shit with berserk

Retard.

He talked about reconquering mines in the northern region.

retard

>Showing how Griffith gains absolute control and sympathy
>Bad chapter
Honestly, I don't understand why you hate it. Miura is putting effort in showing us why everyone will be ready to defend Griffith and Falconia.

One piece is better written and more mature than post-golden age haremserk

Attached: justice.jpg (1456x1064, 317K)

Yeah, and if he follows his shitty adviser, he's GOING TO MINT MORE MONEY TO STOP ECONOMIC STAGNATION...

That's been my issue with how Miura draws Casca now. Great to see Griffith gets it too

I'm not gonna say it was a bad chapter. But the entire world has already been sucking his dick for a long ass time now.

>babies first "history was written by the winner" line.
Not even defending Berserk, but if you think this scene was in any kind profound, you seriously have to read more books.

I already read plenty of mangas and books. Don't downplay a work of fiction purely based off of it's popularity. Also you missed the point the lines had nothing to do with history is written by the winner.

its fully backed minted gold/silver, and not todays hopebacked paper dollars

>the multi-dimensional demon god that let his men get eaten by monsters and then raped a woman

>you missed the point the lines had nothing to do with history is written by the winner.
But he's right, that's literally what iy says in the page you posted you shounenshit inbred.

This is your art on idolshit.

Imagine seething this much that you start chimping out because One Piece is better written than Shonenzerk. You clearly didn't get the thematic undercurrent of what Doffy is saying and you're just talking out of your ass because you got BTFO by OPchads.

Attached: Luffy_laugh.jpg (348x262, 29K)

>>sympathy
the chapter is showing how he gets other people to follow him through his charisma and ability to manipulate people. obviously no one else knows about femto and the eclipse

>shonenzerk

almost forgot I was on Yea Forums

explain the "thematic undercurrent" of someone saying point blank "people are shaped by their environment" and "history is written by the victors". you have to be retarded to be impressed by this above age 12.

What's the problem? He's always been drawn like that. A man that's pretty enough to pass as a girl

I hope you all realize this is a hunterwhisperer falseflaging

So is the moonchild theory finally confirmed now?

Ok, I'll bite. At the level of world building and themes One Piece talks about political power vs corruption, freedom vs order, one world government vs nation-states, racial issues, immigration. And it does so in a very competent and morally grey way.

Berserk died after golden age.
The only plot progression from Chapter 126 - Chapter 307 was just "Griffith comes back and gets everything he ever wanted".
Isidro is a joke character with no depth who is not funny or interesting.
Schierke, a loli witch who has a crush on Guts, turning Guts' crew into a harem.
This new girl Isma is about as interesting as a cardboard cutout.

Not to mention that unfunny comedic pirate that never stays dead. It's shit. You're literally seething because OPchad pointed out how superior was Marineford to changing the whole dynamic of the series compared with Shonenzerk's shitty story.

what an embarassing post
I too liked when the funny pirate man did a poo in his pants

>explain the "thematic undercurrent" of someone saying point blank "people are shaped by their environment"
doffy later gets proven wrong since we find out his brother isn't an asshole despite going through the same trauma as he did. and more importantly its meant to reference how the world government treats everyone like shit except for the nobles, which is something he recognizes being a former noble himself.
>and "history is written by the victors
the WG has literally rewritten history in the past to make themselves look like the good guys and doffy is one of the only people to know the truth of whats going on. the manga literally constantly referencing the concept of justice and they even have the marines have the word printed on their uniforms.it shows that the pirates vs marines is not a black and white conflict, and instead is more of a debate about liberty vs security, with the pirates representing absolute freedom at the cost of stability while the marines enforce a tyrannical (but fragile) peace which requires them to do atrocities and rewrite history to maintain

Level 0

>lizard eyes
>dick nose
>botox lips
Is this supposed to be beautiful and angelic? Please tell me it's Miura's assistants's fault the art looks like shit now.
And why does Miura draw lips like this? Realistic lips look terrible in manga 99% of time.

BASED

If you don't concede after this you're just baiting. You just got BTFO. Now keep coping with the state of Shonenzerk you stupid faggots.

>I WIN BECAUSE I SAY SO

with berserk's current release pacing, it is fucking infuriating that the plot isn't laser-focused on Casca's reaction to reawakening.

Reminder that OP will aways be considered saturday morning shonen garbage for children while Berserk is a cult classic and one of the most influential mangas ever written despite Miura's attempts at sabotaging his own work.

Honestly, Oda could do so much more if it weren't for shonen JUMP and le smiling elastic lad holding his powerlevel back.

Attached: Whitebeard_Pirates_Original_Jolly_Roger.png (265x207, 36K)

It started with the witch bitch, shame to go so far along a downfall.

I’ve only read through golden age. How the fuck does griffith go from essentially a god to just some dude again? I always liked the oppressive atmosphere and the seeming impossibility of Guts’ quest to get revenge, but that seems to be long gone.

The fuck happens in Berserk?

It's amazing that Berserk fans still exist. You can tell that Miura doesn't give a fuck about the manga anymore and only draws because he needs some income. There might be some entertaining moments, sure, but the inspiration is just lost. Imagine working on something for over 20 years, normally you'd get bored of it.

The God Hand can't manifest themselves in the physical world without a vessel, he just hatched his own lookalike from an egg.

when griffith became femto he was restricted to godhand status and couldn't manifest on Earth itself. In order to operate in both dimensions he needed to be reborn. With some GodHand manipulation, he was able to gain human form again and is now both Griffith AND Femto. He is not just 'some dude'.

berserk has been shit for a while, but you can't tell me "sometimes the government is bad and sometimes outlaws are good" is some profound statement on oda's part.

>Taking a statement of a fucking card-carrying villain, who was just using a chance to break into a a staple villainous spiel due to obviously not believing that outcome of the battle is even slightly in doubt, seriously.

You've just topped retardation of the people who think that Griffith actually gives a shit about people based on the last chapter.

>but you can't tell me "sometimes the government is bad and sometimes outlaws are good" is some profound statement on oda's part.
when you simplify everything down to a single sentence then of course it isn't going to sound smart

Neato. For some reason, that makes Femto/Griffith seem less alien and more human. Obviously not the case, but I just don’t like it

that's true, I just mean that the doflamingo line posted isn't exactly revelatory because that's how he boils it down there.

Griffith reborn has all the powers of Femto.

Kill yourself.

Based OPchads putting Berserk chimps in their place.

>"sometimes the government is bad and sometimes outlaws are good"
It's a pretty basic maxim, actually, the fact is that people are dumb as shit and they think it's some otherworldly revelation.
Good and evil conglomerates are arbitrary to one's persona, even if there's a basic, intrinsic sense of morality in all of us, but sometimes the latter is dulled.

Griffith is THE MESSIAH. If you think he's the Anti-Christ, you literally don't understand this manga.

>At the level of world building and themes One Piece talks about political power vs corruption, freedom vs order, one world government vs nation-states, racial issues, immigration. And it does so in a very competent and morally grey way.8

Dude, One Piece literally takes place in the world which shape is entirely defined by whims of a few dozens (at most) super-powered people, who can beat fuck out of whole armies, and a ruler fairly often can take on all of his subjects at once in a fight and win. Even characters who are still shit-tier compared to the world's finest can easily raze whole countries. The basic premise of the setting renders any political commentary specious. Any given society looks like it does because either some superhuman shaped it as he or she pleased, often based on some completely fucking random quirks of personality, except for those few who lucked out to stay beneath the radar of world-class people for extended periods of time. I don't think I need to be much of a prophet to predict that Celestial Dragons are allowed to act as terribly as they do solely because that guy who is the true power behind the World Government likes to pamper them and is so super fucking strong that no one dares to argue.

>You're literally seething because OPchad pointed out how superior was Marineford to changing the whole dynamic of the series

But it didn't, you fucking Marineford babby. Retards like you are the reason why OP threads are constantly flooded with complaints about shit that is absolutely standard and normal to the series.

I didn't even read this chapter. There's no motivation to do so.

pretty good chapter
im excited for next month chapter.

Attached: Berserk Shiek 5.png (1075x917, 1.23M)

The Age of Darkness is here, and in every eschatological literature the Age of Darkness ends with a new better world. This is what Griffith wants to achieve. It's not the Anti-Christ that exterminates most of the humans, it's God.

Griffith is the messiah as described by ancient religions and is clearly based on such characters like Jesus from the Apocalypse, Kalki from Hindu mythology or Saoshyant from Zoroastrianism.

>In the final battle with evil, the yazatas Airyaman and Atar will 'melt the metal in the hills and mountains, and it will be upon the earth like a river' (Bundahishn 34.18), but the righteous (ashavan) will not be harmed.
Who are the righteous in Berserk? Obviously people from Falconia. The rest, the wicked and the unbelievers will be destroyed. This theme appears in every apocalyptic story.

>OPchads
Kill yourself.

Like, WE know that Griffith is a fucking scumbag, but the citizens of Falconia don't. It's like that basic psych test with Tom and Betty as puppets on a stage.

Tom leaves his cookie in the cabinet, and then leaves the stage. While Tom is off-stage, Betty moves his cookie to the lower drawer.

Where will Tom look for his cookie?

The cabinet, obviously. Because Tom doesn't know that Betty moved his fucking cookie.

extremely cringey

>Griffith is the Messiah
Yeah, because when the devil tempted Jesus in the desert and offered him the world Jesus said "Fuck yeah bro I'll do it, but can I rape Judas's wife first?"

Well known theology right there. Metaphysics and stuff.

But he is literally Anti-Christ. I mean fuck, Miura couldn't be more obvious about that without actually quoting passages from Revelations.

Miura has been in the habit of giving his characters wide faces and big eyes lately. Just doesnt fit with berserk

Now read the Apocalypse.

He isn't. Should I quote passages from Revelations? Like the one about the Messiah ruling with an iron rod or coming in a white horse? Or the obvious similarity between Falconia and New Jerusalem?

you were saying?

Attached: WgQcxNV.jpg (1597x1006, 417K)

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He [a]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in [b]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a [c]sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

King of Kings and Lord of Lords

Now compare it to some of the middle volumes
Also the old artstyle still looked better than this centipede eyelashes crap

>He isn't. Should I quote passages from Revelations? Like the one about the Messiah ruling with an iron rod or coming in a white horse? Or the obvious similarity between Falconia and New Jerusalem?
miura is intentionally inverting christ imagery with griffith. he's considered the messiah because of a religious prophecy but what people in universe don't realize is that their god is actually the god hand and the idea of evil.

I found the infrastructure talk somewhat interesting, but it's just really been hard recently to maintain any hope that all of this is actually building towards something instead of setting up for a massive anticlimax

>le digital
SHUT THE FUCK UP
Every other character besides Griffith and the moe uguu girls were drawn in typical Miura style. Even in previous chapters, he drew pre-Eclipse Griffith in his old style. THIS IS A STYLE CHANGE it has NOTHING TO DO WITH DIGITAL you FORCED MEMEING FUCKTARD

If Fantasia wasn't being released as slow as molasses you faggots would have been calling it the best arc in the series. Chitch's death trumps anything that happened in Black Swordsman and in Pre Eclipse Golden Age

Attached: 74a9f92268fc22b9b5a0fe4294e5a2f3.png (950x1123, 479K)

>In some Vaishnava texts, Kalki is forecasted to appear on a white horse, at the end of Kaliyuga, to end the age of degeneration and to restore virtue and world order.
>He will become the king, a "Turner of the Wheel", and one who triumphs. He will eliminate all barbarians and robbers, end adharma, restart dharma, and save the good people.[46] After that, humanity will be transformed and will prevail on earth, and the golden age will begin.[46]

>THIS IS A STYLE CHANGE it has NOTHING TO DO WITH DIGITAL you FORCED MEMEING FUCKTARD
Yikes but you're not wrong. Digital only affects the lineart/coloring, not the character design.

Chitch's death made me actually feel sad

How did you manage to read Revelations and not notice the obvious fact that it's the Beast who appears before humanity after the first wave of disasters and monster attacks to make miracles and reorder society?

How pissed off would you be if Berserk pulled a Samurai Jack and made Guts go back in time with god magic to kill Golden Age Griffith?

Attached: berserk_in_samurai_jack_style_by_oddpenguin_db1lbb3-pre.jpg (719x1111, 98K)

please no

I fucking hate the "hurr durr we go back in time" way of solving problems, it just makes everything feel wasted

Honestly that's the easiest way I can see Guts winning because he sure as fuck ain't fighting Femto

Well with this moon child thing Griffith has an obvious weakness. Of course it creates a real problem since the moon child is innocent.

Miura is 52. He started Berserk when he was 22. This shit is never getting an ending.

Yes, but that's my point. And it's not only Christian imagery. Miura's playing with the concept of messiah which is common in many religions. God was created from negative emotions because people suffered. People wanted a reason for this suffering so they came up with religion and the concept of messiah. God creates the God Hand and proper environment for the coming of their desired messiah.
There is no other messiah in Berserk world, and because of this Griffith can't be the Anti-Christ.

This is all strongly inspired by real-world messianic religions. Miura in a way criticizes them, he is not pro-Christianity/Judaism/whatever.

The Beast makes fake miracles. Griffith makes real miracles. Again, the God in Berserk is not the good (he isn't really good, but whatever) Christian God, but the Idea of Evil. There is no other God in Berserk world.

>The Beast makes fake miracles. Griffith makes real miracles.

The main miracle he's using to present himself as a Messiah is fairly clearly fake.

>Again, the God in Berserk is not the good (he isn't really good, but whatever) Christian God, but the Idea of Evil. There is no other God in Berserk world.

I've noticed. And Idea of Evil is not God, but just a really hardcore astral parasite who likes to hype itself by naming itself God. Which (trying to inflate his importance) is one of the thing which makes it a devil-figure instead, besides, you know, tempting mortals to wickedness and ruling over the closest thing the world has to Hell. Being his servant is another direct parallel between Griffith and the Beast of Revelation.

Shierke summoned several godlike creatures before to protect the gang from apostles, given the god hand hierarchy isn't it safe to assume there's a good equivalent to that in the astral world?

> he thinks Berserk was ever good

Attached: rin_luvia_laugh.webm (1280x720, 1.36M)

>The main miracle he's using to present himself as a Messiah is fairly clearly fake.
It's not. He literally summons the souls and then sends them to afterlife. There is nothing fake about this.

>but just a really hardcore astral parasite
No, it's literally the God. Darkness that dwells in every human's heart. The astral world is nothing more but collective subconscious of humanity. Idea of Evil dwells in its very core. There is nothing above it.

They were just some weak astral creatures. Pagan gods from the past.

>isn't it safe to assume there's a good equivalent to that in the astral world
No, because Miura clearly believes that humans are actually evil (or rather selfish like animals).

schierke defeats griffith by stripping nude and farting on him

t. GRRM

>No, because Miura clearly believes that humans are actually evil (or rather selfish like animals).
Humans *are* animals, so it kind of goes without saying. Negativity is part of human nature, and it's not going away without a literal miracle.

>given the god hand hierarchy isn't it safe to assume there's a good equivalent to that in the astral world?
i read a fan theory suggesting that years ago but i highly doubt it. i feel like it would detract too much from the idea of the godhand controlling fate if there were any parallel deities that could match them

remember there are people that still takes shingeki no kyojin seriously; so it's not weird

Has it already been confirmed the next chap's coming out in May?

Attached: 1519930007656.jpg (1197x1211, 529K)

Monetary finances does not equal economy.

It's basically confirmed not to. This twin issue of YA has previews for end of May issue, and Berserk is nowhere to be seen.

>easy, just mint more coins!
t. 16th century Spain

No. Creating coinage does not magically create more value. Silver and gold only has so much utility, so if you keep minting you'll just create hyperinflation. This is what happens when economic illiterates are asked to run a country.

>It's not. He literally summons the souls and then sends them to afterlife.

And you know this because Griffith said so, even though his power to cook up visions has been established since before he even incarnated?

>No, it's literally the God. Darkness that dwells in every human's heart.
>It's literally the God, except it is just an astral parasite feeding on darkness within human hearts, even though no one but the worse part of fantasy writers ever unironically called something like this "god"

What can I cay but lol.

Have you considered that he may value greater control over population towards which all of his programs are geared over economic prosperity.

All your understanding of economics is incredibly superficial at best.
I doubt you ever even talked to an economist.

Griffith is creating The New Deal for Falconia!

>No, because Miura clearly believes that humans are actually evil (or rather selfish like animals).

Yeah, sure, that's why he wrote an entire story of the guy who was raised in nearly the shittiest circumstances conceivable to know nothing in life but killing people for mere survival, and yet managed to retain the ability to care for others. That's why the very first villain who had any sort of character beyond being a monster of the chapter sold his soul to God Hand not for power, but just so that they would take away his human empathy, which they still failed to to completely strip.

thats why people are mad
she is whole again and got her memories back. instead of focusing on what happens now, we're getting Griffith's tax policy

I like OP and all but the story and worldbuilding isn't really something to brag about.

What's wrong with Sonia?

Was Guts gay for Griffith or have I been listening to fujos?

They self-insert as Guts so they hate Griffith and any female attention he gets is tantamount to being forced to watch cute girls fawn over that one popular jock that beat them up in highschool and fucked the girl they had a crush on.

so do we finally agree that this is garbage?

So Guts is straight then?

He was only gay for Donovan.

Yes, we now see the error of our ways and read HxH instead.

I'm not sure which author is worse. Gurm or Miura. They're both just fucking trolling the shit out of their audiences at this point. We hit the most important fucking plot point IN TWO DECADES with Casca and Guts reuniting and then we fucking shift to Griffith talking tax policy. Wow, good to know these important details. Its only been a fucking year of being cucked by this irrelevant fucking shit. I thought the boat would be the worst part, but this faggot just keeps adding salt. I can't believe I've been a "fan" of this shitheap of a story for 25 years. I could have done so many productive things in that timeframe.

Attached: 2de.jpg (500x561, 97K)

He really like Griffith, more than a man should like another man, but it doesn’t seem sexual

that one is even more garbage

Nah, I'm an Austrian. Don't assume everyone you talk to is an amateur.

but that's the point of having gut's as the protag?

I forget, what was the the reason the apostles are following Griffith now? It's weird to see him be BFFs with Zodd.

I don't care just give me chapters.

They can be shitty.

I see no indicator of that.
If anyone had an abnormal fondness it was Griffith of Guts, but it's easily explained.
Griffith had no other real friend. There was nobody else he could see as an equal and make him forget about his dream.
But that was also part of the problem eventually.
With Guts being an equal it was only a matter of time before he would search his own dream, and that made Griffith an hero.
Guts also had an easier time relating to the common man and being friends with them. He was much closer to many of the Falcons than Griffith was.
This explains why Guts is so incredibly butthurt about Griffiths sacrifice.
It wasn't a pleasant decision for Griffith either, but to him his dream was more important than anything else, even Guts.

he's like an angel to them

But the Fuhrer wasn't that good with economics either!
The main issue that is being overlooked her is a simple one in any case:
griffith has to entirely rebuild or even launch an economy.
He also has an extreme influx of immigrants and no currency of his own at all yet.
All of this means the need to mint currency is rather pressing.
They essentially live in a collapsed barter economy right now.

Something has to happen to make the plot progress.

Currently Guts is on the Island with Casca quest complete.
Griffith is playing knights in his castle and also seems to not give a shit.

Where do we go from here? Hiatus?

Perhaps he himself is the duality of morality itself living as both an incarnation of ultimate evil and a divine good.

Chekc'd

Did you just skip Golden Age?

He fucked up entire world with fantasy shit he now fights for fun and giggles.

That's not good at all.

What's wrong with that?

>real miracles
>literally puts everyone under his boot
yeah

What's with the berserk smear campaign the guy is taking forever that doesn't mean you gotta take your anger out on him by shitting on everyone else

The Kushans seemed worse because your waifu would also get blacked on top of you being disemboweled

Austrians are responsible for fucking up Europe

This nigga fucking reincarnates souls as monsters for his monster army. He's obviously got access to a sufficiently bullshit-level of magic to circumvent the most common bottlenecks/economic burdens that would plague a decidedly mundane city-state.

yes

I don't think you know what Austrian economics is.

No doubt Guts looked up to him and learned a thing or two from Griffith, but this also is one reaosn why he left.
Most ordinary people, the ones not good enough to be Griffiths friends, stay subordinates forever. They see no reason or way to surpass him or leave him.
Guts however understood the need to also have a dream of his own and that Griffith could not be his crutch forever.

The kushan general was the real fag here

Actually..
since the whole world is an Interstice now manifesting the souls of the dead might be remarkably easy.
I think it's actually the souls taking advantage of Griffith in a way, they were attracted to him in life and still are attracted to his giant Od and Ego in death.
All he does is allow them to manifest once for a minute.

Griffith-is-omnipotent fags are the worst.
You think Zodd would settle for a loss when it is physically impossible to win against him? You think Guts would be able to power through his telekinesis through shear will?

The original Griffith was thought to be invincible too, until he wasn't.

I know, that's my point. Men don't do that sort of shit because of other men unless they have extremely strong feelings toward them uncharacteristic of a normal relationship. But like I said, its not sexual.
I'm fine wagecucking for my boss' dream.

Attached: x10 (1).jpg (730x1100, 288K)

Ganeshka is one of the best things that happened to Berserk in recent years you absolute homosexual.

Underage faggots like you should leave.

It's all kinda ironic.
Guts would have readily given his arm to restore Griffith, to get him back on track towards his dream,
but sacrificing the Band of the Hawk was incomprehensible to him.

Fuck you aussie

I think if Griffith sacrificed them on the battlefield, as a diversion, or like if they all just evaporated instead of being skullfucked by demons itd be a different story.

I'm not saying he's omnipotent. The point is that you don't have to be an omnipotent god to mitigate or even neutralize something that would be an economic problem for a medieval city-state. "Lesser" magical power would do just fine in keeping a modest empire like that alive even when - by all rights - it shouldn't be.

Shit like "Souls of the dead can be converted into massive monsters with brutal strength" alone bypasses real issues like how to balance having a strong military in an extremely hostile world with also having enough people supporting the state apparatus with their production.

You are not putting anyone down samefag. Just accept that you got BTFO and move on.

>"Souls of the dead can be converted into massive monsters with brutal strength
where'd you come up with this?

One of the first chapters that focuses on Falconia - culmulating into Richard slapping Griffith - mentions that the Band of the Hawk weren't merely killed by demons, they were turned into monsters themselves.

Who's Richard? He sounds badass.

You may hold the speedreader world record.

im 32 sadly

Have any dead been revived in this manga?
All I've seen is evil ghosts possessing stuff.
Not saying it's impossible, especially within the Interstice, but I doubt Griffith can do it easily en masse.

Is she channeling the reaction of the audience at Griffith's face?

This nigga look ugly
Like a fucking doll

Shonen is a demographic, not a genre. Don't misuse terms you don't understand.

Possibly.
Griffith already sacrificed most of them previously (ignoring the thousand that fell unde rhis command anyway) and Guts doesn't seem to mind.
Right after Guts left, when Griffith went full autism, the Band already paid the price and was essentially destroyed.

>My whole life is shit because i waited 24/7 for 20 pages of comic book.

Berserk's my shit and I feel onions this paragraph exists.

moonlight is taking over his identity

This is like the Yea Forums version of calling someone on incorrect pronouns.

yep

Miura's slowly forgetting how he used to draw all of his characters. Sad.

Every one is just complaning because of the timegap between chapters, it's just like AoT when the marley arc was going on and every one was going
>THIS ONE CHAPTER DOESNT HAVE THE THINGS I WANT SO THAT MEANS THE WHOLE STORY IS BAD NOW

This. It's just what happens when people have to wait so long for a story. Things are always better when binging.

I got dragged along by hype.
TB;DR for all of you who don't like tax policies:
> Griffith is in a board meeting about immigrants
> Issue is solved by acceptance of other people
> Griffith wants Falconia to become the Second Human Empire (1st was Gaiseric's)
> Griffith supports Charlotte's orphanage idea no matter how financially unstable it is.
> Sonia is a brat
> After Charlptte falls asleep, Griffith travels along the World Tree's branches on a full moon.
Guts & Casca chapter never. 50 chapters of Isidoro and Puck next.

It's because we waited for Miura to release a chapter and he didn't even draw one.

>People ITT actually saying things as stupid has Berserk was never good

Attached: 1554000678245.gif (569x320, 3.78M)

THERE'S A NEW CHAPTER?

DID ANYTHING IN THE PLOT MOVE FORWARD!?

Attached: it's a mystery.gif (400x135, 4K)

yes and no

>Did anyone else get bored reading Berserk in the last decade?
Of course

>I'm not sure if these are meant to be real flaws in his plans or Miura simply doesn't know much about statecraft
Where were you when Berserk became a fucking parody?

I wish I could fuck a cute petite princess.

Miura said (if I remember correctly) that Berserk is about 75% done. This means we'll need about 477 chapters for the series to be complete. Realistically how is he going to pull off an additional 100+ chapters?

pic related: (you)

Attached: x6 (1).jpg (731x1100, 249K)

this shouldn't be a problem if we get chapters every month

>why is modern Berserk shonenshit and not seinen??
>why is modern Berserk focused on politics and not killing monsters with big sword??
Do you people even listen to yourselves?

Not like it needs to last long anyway, considering he is likely to masacre them all or some shit once his reach is far enough. He wants to mimic the first empire, which were all sacrificed in the end, and if that is anything to go by then the second empire could follow that same fate.

Unless Griffith actually cares about ruling as some high power and doesn't care for being the demon he is.

I just want sexual violence

You failed at life when you want politics and capitalism over a fucking ending after 3 fucking decades of procrastination.

>doesn't care for being the demon he is
God hand is faithful to their desires, Griffith's is to rule, to sit atop the highest obtainable throne. So I can see him sacrificing everyone to become god of creation, but idk how that would work since you only sacrifice things that are important to you (seems like making connections and relationships for the express purpose of sacrificing would be a no no too), and when you're at the end of your ropes (which I can't see Griffith reaching anytime soon)

>fren talk
I have never read a crack-post of these proportions before.
Nigga you did not just try to twist the obvious since 1997 bromance Griffith felt for Guts. It was not friendship you autist, Griffith straight out states that "he wants him/Guts" due to Guts' unobtainability and strength. He is attracted to him, want to dominate and own him, sexually as well, and often tries to indirectly seduce him with subtle and unobtrusive hints as to not come on too strong. Gut doesn't however pick up on these due to lack of experience though, but the audience sees it clearly, that's why they're there.

When Guts leaves he again tells him that "he belongs to him" like some dog or slave, because Griffith has a bdsm homosexual oversexualised mentality, canonically so you dipshit.
>so incredibly butthurt about Griffiths sacrifice.
>It wasn't a pleasant decision for Griffith either
Holy shit it was bait all along, wasn't it?

Attached: nigra wat.jpg (340x374, 63K)

>bro griffith makes miracles dude
>brings an age of monsters to destroy the land so that he can pretend that is helping when he is actively ruining the world
Griffith is an antiChrist figure, this will only be reinforced in your brainlet head when Griffith starts damning these people's souls to the void

The whole thing is that Guts and Griffith both had super homosexual PTSD so anything they felt (particularly Griffith) can never be acted upon. Griffith never made actual advances toward Guts because of his sexual trauma.

Her getting raped by Mule and Griffith going "are you winning son?" is better.

>wanting for Naruto-tier writing

He asks his god hand buddies to whip up some money.

I want to fuck his bimbo lips

Yo what the fuck that princess from the rape is still a thing? How many years has passed in berserk since the eclipse? 10,15?

>people still think God hand is omnipotent

like 3? Probably less

>Griffith never made actual advances
He did. He drew the poor kind into a gay cringy naked water fight as if they where boyfriend and girlfriend playing on the beach, but Guts wasn't aware that had sexual undertones. Also he kept throwing him hints and a certain feeling when they would talk, but it all flew over Guts' head.

Plus, Guts never really considered homosexually as part of practical reality. When Casca told him about Griffith, he simply couldn't believe it if you remember. It took him a while to even bloody consider the idea of Griffith being gay, let alone realize it when she told him.

>that had sexual undertones

It didn't tho. That's just you reading into it

You don't have to be at the end of your ropes, just desperate in some fashion I believe. Anyway, I'm not sure what his end goal would be besides ruling for the sake of it if he does not want so sacrifice them in some fashion. Though I doubt the God hand as a whole doesn't have some ulterior motive, otherwise they wouldn't have wanted Griffith in the first place, right? Perhaps the goal is just a world of pure demons/darkness, or maybe set up a sacrifice for somebody else. Hell, I doubt it would happen based on his character, but a sacrifice of the concept of humanity in general would fit Guts pretty well. Not exactly where I want to see Guts end up, but I think its possible.

If it does go the route where Griffith is to actually do good, it could create a dynamic where Guts has to oppose the 'Good' side in order to potentially free himself from his soul being damned.

The god hand made griffith a god hand because it was their job, also it seems like they don't need to do behelit summonings anymore now that he's there so they're happy about the R&R.
Besides brainzilla, nobody in the God hand seems particularly inclined towards having some sort of keikaku.

What strikes me as odd is that the God Hand is only 1000 years old, so all this apostle stuff is quite new in the course of human history. Maybe the old God Hand gets retires when the new God Hand gets inducted.
Maybe Gaiseric/SK was the previous Femto and Void defeated him. Maybe Guts will become the new Void with that behelit he's got
spoilered for sleep-deprivation posting.

Thanks for a hearty chuckle

Ruling is hard. This was maybe my answer to Tolkien, whom, as much as I admire him, I do quibble with. Lord of the Rings had a very medieval philosophy: that if the king was a good man, the land would prosper. We look at real history and it’s not that simple. Tolkien can say that Aragorn became king and reigned for a hundred years, and he was wise and good. But Tolkien doesn’t ask the question: What was Aragorn’s tax policy? Did he maintain a standing army? What did he do in times of flood and famine? And what about all these orcs? By the end of the war, Sauron is gone but all of the orcs aren’t gone – they’re in the mountains. Did Aragorn pursue a policy of systematic genocide and kill them? Even the little baby orcs, in their little orc cradles?

Attached: Kentaro_Miura.jpg (490x415, 129K)

>Tolkien is a deep writer
What brainlets think this?
His books read like nonfiction. Even the Witcher series is deeper.

I feel like they were setting things up to seem like Griffith is a good ruler so Guts will seem like the bad guy when he kills him. Guts will have the chance to let Griffith live which would let things be peaceful but he's going to kill Griffith and everything will fall apart and be even worse than the eclipse. He'll feel really bad and maybe even lose Casca but this time it will all be his fault.

I just want to see Griffith go evil as shit and for Guts to fuck over those apostles. Or casca. plsq

Is there even any meaningful difference between the "damned" and the rest? Everybody still ends up in the Vortex of Souls/Abyss and it's not Hell in any standard sense.

damn berserk had a hard life.

The rest of his post still applies, though. Everybody and his dog tells Guts that Griffith is in love with him and is far more fragile than he seems, Casca outright yells it at him twice, but it still doesn't ring any bells.

3-4 years.

Every single female has such a god-tier body

>brainlet can't into the nuances of holon-oriented writing
Stick to your tax policies, faggot
