Metropolis. Posted a thread earlier that died really quickly with no replies.

Attached: image.jpg (850x458, 32K)

It's not that I didn't watch it but I didn't want to talk about it

This hidden gem, never seen it discussed here

Also this little pupper

>almost no one else on Yea Forums watched
If I'm allowed almost no-one then fact that Virtual-san only got about 3 episode threads and 2 of them were by me suggest at most 5 people here completed it.
Even unpopular shorts like Alice or Alice and Tachibanakan got a thread for each episode, even if only 3 of us were posting in them.

Saw someone on Twitter the other day saying this was their favorite anime movie. Care to explain what this anime is about?

Wtf are you saying? Everybody saw it back then when it aired on TV

Best cinematic timing

AAAAAAAAAAH AAAH AAAAH AAAH AAH, ESTEBAN, ZIA, TAO, LES CITÉES D'OR!

t. Boomer

You must be new. We discussed this weekly when it aired.

Anyone who grew up in baguetteland knows this

This was AOTS. Everyone saw it and Squealer did nothing wrong.

sorry you missed your chance to claim that you have watched it so no.
kind of like blade runner meets laputa. might be a bit too standard-fare as sci-fis go but the execution and visuals are amazing.

Not that user but I remember it being very beautiful visually but I didn't care for the story, something about a moe little girl robot who falls in love but it's actually a secret super weapon or some shit?

That fucking aliens ending.

I liked the music.

I can't recall ever seeing a thread for this, although I'm sure there's been a few

Attached: [tlacatlc6] Dantalian no Shoka 12v2 (BD 1280x720 x264 AAC) [3941D0EB].mkv_snapshot_21.46_[2017.09.23 (1280x720, 345K)

By the way, it's shit

Attached: CoTW.jpg (182x268, 18K)

Even I barely remember watching this one.

I mostly remember "Nakedo story yeh-yeh-yeh-yeh-yeh"

Attached: patapata hikousen no bouken.jpg (307x417, 44K)

I watched the first few episodes. It's a shame because I thought it was going to be really cool.

and the sauce?

Agreed. Interesting concepts. But they decided to pussy foot it and make the baddies just outright terribly written

At least it has good visual.

I'd say this one but I wasn't here when it was airing

Attached: NaziCommies.jpg (225x330, 21K)

It looks good but that just makes it feel like wasted potential because pretty much everything else is mediocre at best.

Attached: Brigadoon-mm.jpg (263x378, 28K)

Bretty gud murder mystery OVA based on a manga called Happy Hedgehog (never translated)

Metropolis comes up on occasion, there's just not much to talk about. It's a very dry film from what I recall

Attached: CnVdxRyUAAEN5rx.jpg large.jpg (599x819, 232K)

My parents cancelled our cable subscription before I could see the end.

Who was this guy and what was his end game?

I don't want to read a wikipedia article.

I don't even remember myself but I think they ended up going back to Spain. And I played on over the air TV here.
The french people behind the show made a second and third season recently, but it's set in China

it was discussed a lot here when it aired

I've seen a few episodes of it, don't watch it often but at least I've seen some.

Finished this maybe one or two weeks ago. It was watchable, but didn't like it that much.

Binbougami wasn't all that popular

Attached: rosario_to_vampire_easter_egg_in_binbougami_g.jpg (720x400, 67K)

Unironically the most beautiful love story ever told

You must be blind.

I have that feeling most of Yea Forums dissolved after the end of Naruto and now the posters turnover is insanely fast, people just coming and going each seasons, only consuming the shit they got on netflix for a few months before they get bored.

Attached: menchi.png (519x408, 157K)

Esteban's father. The last individual on earth who truly understands the Mu tech.

Attached: awol.jpg (360x360, 27K)

It was on Yea Forums you new/namefag

Thought Esteban was from Spain or Portugal

I'm not going to share my favorite anime with you faggots.

I've seen it. It goes downhill once they get to the Olmecs but I'd still say it's a pretty good show.

>It goes downhill once they get to the Olmecs
It's a show aimed at children so you can't expect it to be high brow

French and Spanish anons

Gif gets posted a lot and really popular

Normalfag tier, I bought my copy at best buy

Biggest shitstorm weekly

This is the real deal. Some CGIshit nobody cares about.

Excel is cute. Menchi looks delicious.

Also I don't really fuck with shounen/toonami Yea Forums but seasonal moe Yea Forums probably has relatively little turnover. I've been here since about 2008.

Attached: Excel_Saga_01.[aod].ShareReactor.avi_snapshot_20.09_[2017.04.02_02.34.11].jpg (608x456, 58K)

I've never seen this one posted here.

Attached: kurogane-communication.jpg (333x475, 48K)

Naruto never mattered that much to Yea Forums. The real change came from the post SNK normalfag adoption of anime.

Nope.

it's high bro enough to show a pretty brutal vision of the south America invasion. The Olmec create a weird change of tone after being introduced, the human history become secondary and irelevant, while spaceships and mustache twirling villainy takes over. I kinda see why they were there, but it was a bit disappointing, really.

Schwarzesmarken was popular on Yea Forums when it came out but the threads started getting aggressively nuked by the jannies after it had been finished for about six months so you don't see them here very often anymore.

Attached: Bis iris fondled.png (1914x1348, 3.82M)

I see what you mean but the show was bound to step in the fantasy realm sooner or later. Also the lost technology designs were pure eye candy.

>the threads started getting aggressively nuked by the jannies
Why?

Attached: 22c.png (212x218, 83K)

> but seasonal moe Yea Forums probably has relatively little turnover
That's what you think, but sadly it isn't true.

Just so you know, you didn't miss anything.

Attached: the reflection.jpg (1280x720, 129K)

All I remember from the threads were Katia bullying and everyone losing their minds when they revealed that the blonde girl acted like a whore for military favours

that would have been so much better if he continued to stick his head into her ass and then wiggle his shoulders in until his entire body was inside except for his penis

west of detroit

Attached: 5216541614.png (960x540, 370K)

I watched it but only saw a thread once, I really liked Siro-chan's trivia segment and Virtual Wars, Kerin Slayer was fucking dogshit.

>some of the most popular anime of their respective season don't get posted anymore
Kind of sad but there's definetly people on Yea Forums that have seen them.

This gets shilled in every "obscure anime" thread

A lot of people checked out the first episode, then we all fleed by how awful it was
Very known, one is on Netflix and the other one is from Osamu Tezuka.

Attached: kobayashi.jpg (896x504, 65K)

>by which you mean anime that probably everyone has seen
Ulysses 31 by the same studio

Attached: BrawBlog_Ulysses31_ep1_07.jpg (600x447, 67K)

Because discussion turned from the anime to visual novels and light novels, so the Yea Forums jannies were butthurt that it wasn't on /m/ or /jp/, meanwhile /m/ hated Schwarzesmarken because it wasn't Muv-Luv enough. This is almost inevitable for any multimedia franchise that only has limited anime and manga offerings.

Attached: lise nurse.jpg (2048x1152, 242K)

How about that one?

Attached: image.jpg (640x352, 26K)

>so the Yea Forums jannies were butthurt that it wasn't on /m/ or /jp/
Jannies are completely retarded as usual visual novels belong on Yea Forums since /jp/ is virtually unusable.

>by which you mean anime that probably everyone has seen

How many french anons browse Yea Forums?

Attached: ae5.png (997x562, 942K)

I actually watched that.and the voice acting could have been better.

Eden of the East was boring, I don't understand why it would be considered a hidden gem.

Attached: 83312l.jpg (300x366, 34K)

Excek saga is pretty popular in Italy

Attached: Nadya.jpg (4285x5133, 3.11M)

I watched it. It's actually pretty good.

I was aware of these but chose not to watch them.

cities of gold is insanely good. I wish more people would give it a chance.

Attached: porphy.jpg (1280x720, 62K)

Denpa teki na kanojo

It's so good. It's unfortunate that the third novel will never be animated.

bump

It started so great, but it went to complete shit after the first arc with the dirty cop. I don't even want to think about those movies. That last scene in the tv series was pretty cool, but it didn't make up for what a meandering mess with confused social commentary attempting to replace a plot the rest of the series was.

But hey, that was a kickass OP.
youtube.com/watch?v=4pdqeu9LW2c

It was a pretty good show too.

Attached: The-Daughter-of-Twenty-Faces.jpg (436x436, 43K)

Only reason I know about it is that it had a trailer on like half of my Rurouni Kenshin DVDs. I eventually rented it from Netflix back when they mailed you DVDs and thinking it was alright. I remember the arc where he was transformed into a woman was pretty funny, but I don't remember anything else about it.

Attached: 71d1d638E4L._SY445_.jpg (311x445, 47K)

Based on a manga by Tezuka based on Tezuka seeing a single image from the 1927 movie Metropolis which is almost certainly better.

I actually own this piece of shit. Holy hell, is it impenetrable garbage.

Attached: Sins-of-the-Sisters-DVD-factory-sealed.jpg (308x400, 44K)

Onegai samia don was aired when I was kid, I doubt there's a torrent of it.

Attached: E0F2370D-3C59-4327-A741-918467AEB3F7.jpg (400x582, 76K)

I can almost guarantee you don't know what anime this image is from.

Attached: Untitled.png (993x766, 1021K)

Some OVA about triathlete girls that I can't remember the name of or find

Star of the Seine

Ganba no Bouken and GEAR Fighter Dendoh are two fantastic partially subbed shows (Although Ganba was picked up again, thank god).

I saw gamba too, the weasels were scary as fuck and everybody dies.

Attached: gamba no boken.jpg (401x600, 61K)

I wish there were more episodes. It was hilarious.

Attached: Hyperdoll.jpg (512x384, 95K)

It's fucking kino, isn't it?

This, it's the epitome of a cool premise but no idea where to go from there.

what is this pls

Attached: 1554949400406.gif (350x266, 1.98M)

The wonderful advantures of Nils holgerson

Literally unless you grew up in 1970s japan or in 1990s Israel you don't know what the fuck this anime is.

>Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen Mae Hashutsujo
>aka Kochikame
I don't think anyone in English community watched this because it is neither translated nor dubbed into English. This is my childhood anime. I loved it very much. Good mix of slice of life and comedy.

I actually watched a few episodes on >crunchyroll a few weeks ago
It's decent but definitely aged. I like the art style though

Seen it and liked it. Beginning of the show felt really different from what it turned into later on though (detective girls).

The ost is pretty nice

Ladysports

naruto was aggressively banned on Yea Forums for a long time

Where can I watch these in French but with English sub-titles?

I can't stand the English voices.

There were threads about it all the time when it was airing.

Attached: 1347093807699.jpg (507x720, 144K)

Crunchyroll has it? I'd have expected it to be lost to time. Maybe I can find a download somewhere and give it a quick rewatch, then.

The little lord fauntleroy or Shokoshi Ceddie. Watched this when I was little but I never found anyone else who did. It's a pretty cute SoL where a fat old man falls in love with his grandson. Definitely recommend if you're into shotas.

HON HON HON

Princess tutu but isn't that good since 99% of theirs "problems" would be solved by simply not being a drama queen all the time.

Baguette here

It was alright until the animals began talking.
Then it rain against everything else in 2007.
