I thought Zeta had some pretty cohesive themes, it expanded a lot on the newtype stuff, adulthood v. childhood, parent v. child, the costs of war. Narratively it was the strongest for Kamille. I feel like Char was essentially irrelevant even though he was there as a mentor. But ultimately it's like 0079 if it ended in tragedy instead.
I thought Reccoa was the most interesting and broken character, to be honest.

That's the thing. A lot of things should've been resolved in some other way or maybe not introduced at all, some lose their purpose and some characters just disappear and then are killed in such an unsatisfying fashion: the titans as a whole, Jerid, Rosammia, the crew of that other ally ship that is not the Argama. Haman and Scirocco, the true Big Bads, are introduced too late for them to have any meaningful relationship with the protags. The Axis also appears out of nowhere.
Only Camille, Fa, Katz and Reccoa have at least some development and character arcs and yet everything feels so unsatisfying. It doesn't make sense for it to be a tragedy (in the classical sense), because there's no build-up or narrative direction towards global misfortune or Camille's fate. We just start to feel it in the last 10 episodes.
Maybe there was too much stuff for it to be a nicely-tied like 0079, which is simpler, more straightforward and therefore way more coherent. Or maybe it's a execution problem, because most ideas are good. IDK.
