Oshtor was a much more powerful warrior than haku. I don't think much would've changed if he was still alive and haku was degraded to a side character until they needed his superior human blood.

They probably could have gotten just as far with Oshtor by their side if he had survived.

But yeah Haku playing Oshtor's role surpassed him and did things that Oshtor couldn't have done by far. Oshtor wouldn't have outsmarted Raikou on the battlefield. Nor would Oshtor have created such devious tactics in each battle while gradually upping the stakes. Oshtor is stronger than Haku in direct combat, but Ohstor was always jealous of Haku's ability to think outside the box and create bullshit out of nothing and always see a path forward. This is because humans are smarter and better than the furries.

Hakus stupid drum tactic didn't win against raikou, what did win them the fight was pulling some anime archery out of their asses.

The moment Haku saw through Raikou's plan to snipe Haku's archer's when Haku was going to take out both the psychic guard towers at the same time, and stopped it, is the moment he outsmarted Raikou on the battlefield. He saw through every single thing Raikou planned and prevented it, and Raikou had to retreat.

Although Haku still had no real answer to the cannon on top of the imperial fortress, and was trapped at one point, but that's only because Raikou had the superior fort to protect himself and it was no longer an even battle of wits.

The whole kuon vs anju fight made my blood boil. It felt almost like a NTR scene where she said that she'd rule the country instead, while you spend like 10-15 hours at that point trying to reverse your hopeless situation.

Least they show in the bonus segments post-game that Hakuhtar could have handled Tuskur invading Yamato just fine, which shoves a dick right in Kuon's face who said "There's no way you can win I'm afraid Tuskur will kill all you without trying"

And then in another bonus segment your Uta2 party faced off against Uta1 party. Showing they were just as strong.

I would have taken it if it meant less time watching Anju be a little bitch. But then she had her grand turning point, turned into a unit that's worthless for half the battles, and then turned right back into a sheltered brat except sometimes she'll also read a speech that Haku wrote for her.

I think anju had one of the best character developements in the game.

Tuskur during the entire first half kinda felt like dicks who were antagonistic for the sake of it and just itching to invade and conquer after being spurned, despite how they were never in any danger in the first place apparently. They made up an entire story about how Haku and Anju would obviously invade again if they reestablished themselves, and a few other lies to Kuon. They redeemed themselves when you visited their country at least.

Anju is like seven years old, her development so far is pretty amazing considering her situation where everyone around her died and she as poisoned and she lost everything. She didn't erase her own mind, fall into despair, blame everything, and be a bitch like Kuon.

Anju just kept trying to take back what she lost, and she stood up every time she needed to stand up. She was still immature and spoiled but her friends saw that she was trying her hardest.

Nope. Nekone, during the epilogue, decides to stay in En'nakamui as a scholar. One of her stated reasons for doing so is so she can do more for her home town while also creating a home with her mom that Haku can return to.
Shinonon is basically Kiuru's proposed wife towards the end of the game. While she is Anju's double in the epilogue, the last talk with Haku is done with the implication that the two of them will always be together, something that Kiuru doesn't deny.
