One Punch Man Season 2

I dunno guys. I'd watched the first season of this show a couple months back, absolutely adored it, waited eagerly for the second season. Found out other people had also been waiting five fucking years for a sequel to this goddamn classic.
Trailer came out. It was shit but I was optimistic at the time. 3 episodes in now and I seriously can't say it feels like it's predecessor much at all. Stilted animation, no changes in animation whatsoever, visual comedy is nonexistent, etc.
I know about all the terrible shit that happened during the production, but damn, this makes me really depressed.

If you refuse to watch something purely due to animation, you're admitting you don't care one bit about the story. In which case you should probably kill yourself.

OP here. I'm still watching it, but One Punch Man's story was primarily carried by visuals. The story is still interesting I guess, but without the quirky style and shit it's a lot worse.

One punch is a comic parody at its core. Even though Murata is great, I don't think it relies as much on visuals as Mob Psycho.

The original web comic gained popularity despite shit art.

This was some solid, 7/10 sakuga, and it's sad that expections are so fucking low, that you're forced to obssess over the only 30 seconds sakuga in the entire first 3 episodes.
A scene like this is a dime a dozen in season 1, and it's all down hill from here.

Not to mention that the pacing and timing and direction is fucking terrible so these scene is half of what it should be.

Not true at all, how that story is delivered is also very important, the jank animation to exacerbates the bad direction and execution the whole thing is an eye soar.

Stop with this meme, One punch man is an action comedy, not a satire, it's story is about the hero saitama looking for excitement in his life(among other things) after becoming the strongest.
The current arc is about heroes vs monsters, the story is compelling as is, and has a great light hearted ton about it and never takes itself too seriously, whilst still delivering on an exciting story.
