Well what cool ass stuff does CF have to draw in viewers? Fate became popular because it had great setpieces and spectacle with its over-the-top action. Had Tsukihime and especially Melty Blood been adapted it would've had a the same main draw.

If anyone's read the VN's and thinks people sat through it because of fight scenes they should actually read the VNs.They'll be surprised by how little there is in terms of action in relation to the rest of the content. It's something that's been frustrating me of late. Just seeing how a majority of the anime community's basis of whether shows are good or not is whether there was an action scene in an episode for them to get excited about. I dont think Case files is going to fair well once it hits the general anime audience consedering the nature of the story and the types of seasonal shows that have been getting popular. Holy Grail War is a good concept, but having too many HGWs will make Fate franchise becomes boring, especially when it has a lot of potentials and more interesting concepts that haven't been explored yet.

LL and GuP were anime originals. Getting into Fate (Especially Stay Night) is a complicated thing, so it's a miracle that it's still selling as much as it did. Were there any FGO-related bundles in the BD? That might be it.

It doesn't help that Mahoyo was act 1 of a 3 act VN. The first one did okay, but not great, so he never bothered finishing it. They made a ton of weird decisions with it too. Instead of an actual VN they made it a kinetic novel with no choices and didn't include voice work for the characters when it had become a standard for VNs of the time.

Look, I said it became one of the best type-moon games, I never said type-moon games were high quality. Also yeah, story wise Link is shit, but the gameplay actually became way better to compensate, like fixing that broken Extella Maneuver spamming shit, and the abilities each character has are interesting and fun to use. It's still a mindless, easy game like most Musou shit, but its possible to actually have fun playing it.

It be fun if there was variety in environments, actual difficulty, more map modes, and different enemies. I just can't like musou games no matter how many iterations of it they release they all feel the same. The last musou game I enjoyed was ninety-nine nights.

Go read the books friend. Overall, Ufotable did a good job, but they really fucked up the 6th one. Lots of important stuff was completely cut out and some nonsensical anime original was put in.

France was pretty bad taken as a whole. It just had a neat set of character arcs encompassing the Jeannes and Gilles, and I suppose the Fafnir fight was cool if substanceless. Every other character was out of place shameless gachabait completely divorced from the story barring Marie's squad, which was given the same shitty half-characterization Rome was full of.

They fucked up Azaka's and Ouji's characters and completely cut out Kurogiri's backstory and motivation. Also they added in the anime-original of Azaka wearing earbuds to defend against Kurogiri's God Word. Basically anything that was actually interesting about the book, they took out.

Oh and they left out Ouji killing Kurogir at the end as well.

Those Nanoha movies and tv shows are the main Nanoha product. FGO the game is the main Fate product these days and it makes more in one month than Nanoha does in a year. You can think of Fate anime adaptations as somewhat profitable ads to get more people into FGO.
