Saitama's the strongest man alive in a world where everyone's vying to be the strongest for shitty and weak reasons. Him being bored/aloof is supposed to show how detached he is from a fake world that's been taken over by pro heroes and heroism that's been quantified and taken over by bureaucracy that looks down on real heroes and rewards underhanded tactics and shit people. Also despite everyone throwing their weight around trying to look strong no one actually has super powers (closest thing is ESP) and no one's special, with Saitama being the closest thing to that not caring in the slightest, just being a regular guy. You're meant to learn from him and keep your head on your shoulders and have some humility.

Mob is obviously just a more developed version of Saitama. OPM doesn't have the gas to go the distance of a full character arc, but the basic idea was still what One wanted to work with so you got MP100 instead.
This is incredibly common in all kinds of media, creators recycling earlier unfinished ideas or concepts into a more coherent product. OPM just got picked up and actually animated.

The heroes in OPM definitely have powers, although not to the extent of MHA. (Zombieman, all the cyborgs/androids, etc.) The message of OPM is something closer to enjoying the company of others without comparing yourself to them.
Genos is unhappy because he's constantly comparing himself with Saitama, rather than being happy that he's grown stronger. Fubuki is the same, except with her sister. Saitama is unhappy because he's lonely.

I still don't get why ONE gets amazing adaptations from Bones over any actually good manga author.
He is a literal one trick pony, the messages he tries to relay are basic, preachy and uninteresting, his humour is samey, he is a shit artist on top of it too.

Yeah that's definitely more accurate than just calling it humility. But I should specify natural superpowers, as in a real superpower you have by nature that would inherently set you apart from a normal person. Every "power" in OPM is either trained/learned, gotten through modification, tool/equipment, or otherwise grounded in reality. I feel like ONE really went out of his way to make it so no one is a real superhero.
