I say 6 weeks, in any case this manga is not getting to July, best birthday present ever.

What killed the hype?
Seriously, what was it?

el hermano

It seems is not a very good idea to remove every single character in your manga where the main attraction is the rich variety of characters and interactions between them.

Fucking finally. Cant understand how anyone can love this retarded autistic shit?
>haha but did u see that girl almost cum from food haha milkies am i right?
just watch fucking porn, have sex and grow up

We're like 1 chapter into a new tankoubon with the last chapter. There's generally 9 chapters per volume. So more like 8 more chapters minimum.

tsukuda went full autist

lf they actaully made azami a decent villain it wouldn't have been all that bad. But it started degrading right after the central arc started. Almost all the side characters that made some depth to the manga were all sidelined and the actual cooking techniques started to vanish.

A fuckin shame really, the Stagiaire arc was really good imo. The festival arc was pretty decent too, then it just nosedived.

>still won't get to July
Nice.

I dropped it when Jou was called in and set up the mega shokugeki, it was obvious to me at that point that the author has run out of good ideas and will proceed to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

That final battle between central vs souma felt like the climactic ending. I stopped reading for a couple months after because i just didn't really care about it after that. But as you touched on, almost every support character thought is either irrelevant or become a cheerleader in this final arc. It's become way too roundabout for setting up beating his dad + winning over erina.

The cooking went from "stuff that is practical and that you could likely do if you have the recipe, but it's still a smart recipe, or at least a lesser-known one" to "what do you mean you can't cook endangered species at home ? Are you even trying you fucking casual", and considering a good deal of the appeal was the food itself, it feels like the food went from the main attraction to a side concern. And it shows in the narrative, which moves forward at break-neck speed instead of introducing mionor arcs/characters which introduce to more cooking stuff.

Justice for Megumi

Ketchup.

NAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

The only thing this manga deserves for an ending is having Soma win by ketchup and mayo.

Yeah, its become way more about Erina's family problems and completely ditched the Changing Erina through cooking aspect. The few segments where Erina started to change when she stayed in the Polar Star dorm weren't bad at all, now its just gone awol.

I don't even remember the last time they actually showed a proper cooking technique like they did in the Stagiaire arc. Its like the manga lost its heart. Im just hoping it ends soon cause everytime I see it, it just disappointing me how it turned out. Giving me Bleach PTSD desu.

I suspect it will move to Giga or something, like Gintama or Saiki. 3 weeks does not seem enough to wrap up even the current plot line

I gotta say, I just finished watching it and came to Yea Forums to find a discussion about it. Was surprised to see the negative tone in the threads since even the train arc is still pretty entertaining. I guess the manga really screws the pooch at some point huh?

I can understand the direction in how he wants to go with the family development, but it's a bit much considering there's actually everything else built upon prior. Anyone who had significance is a commentary piece just to add some sort of significance to the situation. I wouldn't mind as much if the pacing wasn't totally off and didn't throw away practically everyone who played a major part ok development.

When you read it, you'll know when it jumps the shark.

Let's say I'm not that masochistic and want to keep the good taste in my mouth (pun absolutely intended). At which event should I just stop watching?

Watching should be fine next season. The tournament that it leads to and finale is good. It's just after it ends I highly doubtful they continue anything after that. So basically after the azami arc. You'll know

Eizan Battle for Memefaces thats the point to quit imho

It fuckin sucks how they handled all that, It feels like they just threw out all that happened during pic related.

Also feels like the manga totally abandoned Soma's real goal, surpassing his father and making his own Yukihira.

I stopped reading the chapter his brother was introduced just by coincidence, really excited to catch up and see what all the fuss is about once the last chapter date is confirmed.

don't get your hopes up for anything memorable, except maybe chainsaws.

>Best girl introduced and leaves in episode 1
It peaked too early

Meh, just replace her with Alice's mom.

Thank god

Honestly it could probably round itself out nicely, but no one gives a shit about another 100 chapters of fuck all plot to make it happen

Erina.

The first half of the manga was great when Erina was sidelined and Megumi was basically the main heroine. Ever since Erina's got back into the spotlight, the manga has been nothing but Erina's family problems.

he better go back to drawing porn or I swear to god

I've honestly just given up desu. I still wish we could of had something better though.
>me the bleach from day 1 fag.

No one likes the current arc. I'm sure the author heard about the axe right after the Azami arc with that beach festival episode and decided to just say fuck it.

>dropped it mid-misunderstanding

>1 chapter to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

>Axe
So it's confirmed this is the final arc?

This basically. I'm sure I'll reread up until the festival at some point, it was great.

>Gordon Ramsay helps prepare a meal for Buddhis...
tl;dr me on that story. I assume the joke was that thoes Buddhist monk already discarded their earthly desire.

All things point yes but there isn't an official confirmation yet. Bringing all the characters for the final battle just feels like this is the final shokugeki and that's it but they can always make it worse than what it already is
