afaik at least early santanas were based off passats, at least b2-b3, check out the pictures, some of the features are literally the same/look the same. i think even engines were the same, with the difference being us didn't have manuals because lol manuals in america, and i don't think they had any diesel engines.

The awful juxtaposition is still present though, worse even. Their 3dcg backgrounds and vehicles clash with their hand drawn art. The fact that it's 3d aside, the computer can generate 1000s of little details more than someone could ever draw by hand and it badly juxtaposes against the far more simplistic artwork. The same issue is present in their currently airing show Kimetsu no Yaiba. They need to paint their damn backgrounds properly like in fate cooking instead of being lazy. They should only resort to cgi when absolutely necessary.

They don't, though. AGV helmets have top SHARP ratings and cost less than Arai especially when being closed out. Arai helmets even when they are being discontinued go for $400+. AGV helmets drop to as low as a third of the price. You can get a $600 AGV helmet with a max SHARP score for $200.
