This is true. This is the reason Part 4 and 6 are praised as the best ones I think, since we get to be acquaintances to Kira and Pucci.

And generally the opposite case is noted as an asspull. Whenever the author pulls out a final villain out of nowhere or it's a guy who was sitting on his throne doing nothing until the last chapters.. it just feels cheap and lame. So yeah a villain should be present throughout the story.

Because Josuke could use Crazy Diamond to heal his wounds, all he had to do was divert Ratt's attention until Josuke could kill it. He went into that battle knowing he would get hit and tanking it. If Josuke weren't around, he would've found a different way, maybe using Echoes or some shit. Either way, the battle WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE SAME STRATEGY. Ratt would've been a perfect counter against even The World. The only difference is Jotaro is human and can die easily, while DIO cannot. Fuck you guys for making me write this as an ESL.

Pucci reminds me of Gold Experience on how his Stand seems to do a different thing every time he shows up. First he has some kind of jutsu where Whitesnake transforms a room into a snake's stomach, giving Jotaro and Jolyne weird illusions white dissolving them... but it has the power to extract Stand discs and memories and play them into other people... and he can also change his appearance since that's how he backstabbed Anasui... all of that before the green baby business.

I think it was partially because he wasn't built for/used to stand fights (like they addressed in the final fight). He basically became a one trick pony of having to spam bubble bombs and when that didn't work he was fucked. No way he'd beat diavolo in a h2h and no way he could beat diavolo if they both started out with anonymity. Kira just kills thots, Diavolo is a killing machine and likely isn't any less intelligent than Kira. Kira's only shot is to blow up everything that gets close to him

Kira was actually competent enough to be a serial killer for years with a stand that blows people up. The supernatural had to interfere and so did Jotaro along with one of the strongest (physically) stands to beat him. Diavolo on the other hand had one of the most broken stands to ever exist and he still got cornered by his own stupidity. And yes, I think before Giorno developed his what 4th power, Josuke could have totally beaten him in a fight.
