YYH is good battle shounen, I can understand if you shit on it because you think battle shounen in general is bad, but comparing it to my hero or black clover is just wrong, those aren't even the good kind of battle shounen.

This arc will likely be the culmination of Kurapika's revenge. Why bother with Gon and Killua taking the spot light? They're not needed for the show to go on, right now. That's the advantage of having multiple interesting characters and an author who cares about them, not just the main guy.

What defines the “main plot”? Just try and enjoy it for what it is: complex political intrigue.

The Dark Continent, Beyond, Ging, and Pariston. This succession war is all but irrelevant to that stuff.
